Sigh... I really wanted to love this place. The setting is pretty and the price was great (£145 for room, dinner and breakfast for two). However, it was clear to my husband and I that this place has seen its glory days. Areas for improvement to truly be a "palatial" experience: 1- Ensure dishes are actually clean. Literally every dish we had included some of the last meal stuck on. 2- Invest in a concierge. There was no one available to explain the grounds, arrange activities, or even open doors. 3- Better staffing model. Restaurant staff seemed super stressed and hurried. Also there is apparently no plan for which servers/busers attend which dinning table, so you're either asked 4 times if you would like to order a drink or you're waiting for 30 mins for one. 4 - Upgrade rooms. Walls were super thin. We literally heard every word, whistle and bodily function of the guy next door. The queen bed was two twins pushed together - insanely uncomfortable. What's working for them - 1 - Spa! I had a facial from Kirsten, who was incredibly sweet and great at her craft. 10/10 for experience and value. 2 - Online booking was really easy from out of country. 3 - Restaurant host was nice. He (and his epic mustache) brought me a pillow to make me more comfortable (I'm pregnant).

We chose this hotel on a recent Pitlochry and enchanted forrest trip. It's location is ideal. You…read moreare only a wee walk from all the main street shops but are still able to enjoy silence. The booking went easy enough. I called them and we got a room for 3-4 people. The price being around the £150 mark. You can also book online although I think its cheaper if you call. The interior of it's public places and rooms are a bit outdated, but if this is not a turn off for you, the hotel is comfy and convenient enough to stay in. There were a few families and groups. The main reception does not appear to be manned all night, but in all honesty Pitlochry is not the place to party until the early hours. The night porter was really friendly, stopping and telling us ghost stories. Check out the third floor. Supposedly it is haunted! The bar closed around 11, but considering the amount of people in the lounge and bar area, they decided to reopen the bar. Good for us. You get the typical drinks. Beer, wine, whisky, gin tonic and so on. They don't serve many craft beers. Our place was a suite outside the hotel in a separate Victorian house. One double bedroom and one twin. Large bathroom. Again, outdated, but for 1 or 2 nights ok. You will also be able to enjoy the pool, sauna and spa, adjoining the hotel. We decided to dine somewhere else, as the reviews were not great. Having said this, the breakfast was not bad. We got the choice between Scottish or continental breaksfast and other items from the breakfast menu. I chose porched eggs on toast. Sadly, no taste and not even the toast bread could make up for it. Other fellow travelers were satisfied with their breakfast choices. The staff was friendly enough throughout the stay. Would I go back there? Yes I would.

The hotel is very central and everything there is to see in Pitlochry (the high street, festival…read moretheatre, fish ladder, dam, etc) is within easy walking distance. Our room itself was fine with a double bed and a twin bed, small table and chairs. It was advertised as free wifi throughout the hotel but we found we could only get it in the hallway by the door in our room. Not ideal but not awful. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. It was nice to come back from a day of sight seeing and have a soak and a schwitz. There is a "restaurant" on site but I'd say it is more of a dining room. Unless it is included I wouldn't worry about eating there. It's not bad but it's not great if you catch my drift. For a Crerar hotel I was a bit disappointed if I'm honest but I will bring those things up with the hotel. Free parking on site as well as two bars.

Great location for exploring; I am sure that you will see Nessie next time…read more Basic accommodations but friendly staff. I think it's worth going into the wee village for dinner rather than drive back four or five miles to their partner hotel. Breakfast is also quite basic but it's available on site.

The room was very comfortable with more than enough space to accommodate my mobility scooter and the bathroom with roll in shower was also very roomy with all the accessories I required. The standard of cleanliness was impeccable. The Management and staff making us feel very welcome from the instant we arrived, coming out to advise us the best way to park the car, so that access to and from the car for myself and also for my scooter was not compromised. Actually Chetan parked the car for me. He also ensured that the space for my car was always available when we returned from whatever trip we had been on. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had our evening meal, in the restaurant, on the first night. My friend and I have different dietary requirements and the staff were so knowledgeable about their menu that they were able to advise us what we could eat. The meal was great. Breakfast each morning was also adapted for our requirements. As already stated nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All accommodations for Covid restrictions are applied, so felt we were safe staying there. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The hotel is only a 5 min walk from the town centre, however, it is a steep hill so a car would be required for anyone with mobility issues. Amisha & Chetan definitely know how to make you feel welcome and feel that you will certainly return for another visit. I definitely will be going back.
