Such a cozy, top notch pub. The Beef Ale Pie is fantastic, as is their Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Espresso Martini. This is a wonderful spot for a meal or just drinks. We visited here twice it was so good.

Excellent food in a very busy and noisy atmosphere. Servers are polite and helpful. Great place to sit at the bar watch a game or just chat it up.

Is it possible to give more than 5 stars..? Still to this day I think I had one of the best meals of my life at the Old Mill Inn. My boyfriend and I came to Scotland last fall and stayed in Pitlochry to do some hiking and exploring. We stumbled upon this place for dinner and I am so happy we did. For a starter, we HAD to try the Haggis neeps and tatties. I was a little hesitant at first, but I thought it was done perfectly in a more modern style that complimented all the flavors. For dinner my boyfriend had the steak and ale pie, which he liked as a warm and hearty meal. Now onto my AMAZING meal, the Roasted Guinea Fowl with Mushrooms...Just WOW. I still dream about it. The mushroom sauce was rich, but just the perfect amount to not overpower the taste of the bird. It came with potato croquets on the side which were also great. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding, which as you can guess was to die for. We have gone to a few places in NYC trying to find the same quality and it hasn't worked out yet... If I am ever back in Scotland in the future you can pretty much guess what my first stop will be...The Old Mill Inn.

First time in the area and popped in for a meal with the family and the in laws great location and great menu. Really friendly staff who made us feel very welcome and the food was great and not to pricey. My meal the Wild mushroom pasta was great and everyone finished everything on there plates. We will certainly be back again and the location next to the stream was a great bit to sit next to while we had our meal.

My wife and I came in for an early dinner on a Friday afternoon. We took in drinks at the pub until the restaurant opened at 5pm. Even at that time it seemed as though the restaurant filled up fast. We were seated quickly with menus in hand a drink orders taken. I ordered the Chicken Curry with Rice and Naan Bread. My wife ordered the Ribeye Steak with Chips. Both meals were very delicious and filling. The desserts that were on the menu looked yummy, unfortunately were too stuffed to try them. The atmosphere was great and the service was very attentive. The prices for food and alcoholic beverages are a little bit higher than most pubs, however I attribute this because the area is frequented by tourists. #pitlochryrestsurants #pitlochrypubs #pitlochryfinedining

A hotel/restaurant/ pub in the heart of Pitlochry! Whilst walking along the main road in Pitlochry we saw a sign toward the OLD MILL INN and thought why not have some dinner there, away from the traffic.. You follow the cobbled path and walk towards a hotel, which looks lovely from the outside: real old style country house and in this case an old mill with a working wheel on the side, just beside the outside sitting area. Inside there is a lounge where you can enjoy a glass of something during the long winter months, looking out though the large windows, which let in lots of light. The restaurant and bar are modernly decorated and if you look hard you might also find a fire place. A few TVs are hanging around the rooms. We decided to have dinner on the patio area. You need to order your food at the bar and the waiters bring it to you. They are really fast serving food, or at least they were that day. The staff is friendly and polite. We ordered some starters, salmon and bread, and a chicken Caesar salad main course. The salad was a delight, served with lots of anchovies and grated cheese, exactly what a Caesar should taste like (without the chicken of course). The leaves were thinly cut and ideal to eat. So if you are on the way up or down of Scotland and should decide on a stop over I can recommend the OLD MILL INN for a quick break with a bite to eat or just a drink.

The booking went easy enough. I called them and we got a room for 3-4 people. The price being around the £150 mark. You can also book online although I think its cheaper if you call. The interior of it's public places and rooms are a bit outdated, but if this is not a turn off for you, the hotel is comfy and convenient enough to stay in. There were a few families and groups. The main reception does not appear to be manned all night, but in all honesty Pitlochry is not the place to party until the early hours. The night porter was really friendly, stopping and telling us ghost stories. Check out the third floor. Supposedly it is haunted! The bar closed around 11, but considering the amount of people in the lounge and bar area, they decided to reopen the bar. Good for us. You get the typical drinks. Beer, wine, whisky, gin tonic and so on. They don't serve many craft beers. Our place was a suite outside the hotel in a separate Victorian house. One double bedroom and one twin. Large bathroom. Again, outdated, but for 1 or 2 nights ok. You will also be able to enjoy the pool, sauna and spa, adjoining the hotel. We decided to dine somewhere else, as the reviews were not great. Having said this, the breakfast was not bad. We got the choice between Scottish or continental breaksfast and other items from the breakfast menu. I chose porched eggs on toast. Sadly, no taste and not even the toast bread could make up for it. Other fellow travelers were satisfied with their breakfast choices. The staff was friendly enough throughout the stay. Would I go back there? Yes I would.

The hotel is very central and everything there is to see in Pitlochry (the high street, festival…read moretheatre, fish ladder, dam, etc) is within easy walking distance. Our room itself was fine with a double bed and a twin bed, small table and chairs. It was advertised as free wifi throughout the hotel but we found we could only get it in the hallway by the door in our room. Not ideal but not awful. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. It was nice to come back from a day of sight seeing and have a soak and a schwitz. There is a "restaurant" on site but I'd say it is more of a dining room. Unless it is included I wouldn't worry about eating there. It's not bad but it's not great if you catch my drift. For a Crerar hotel I was a bit disappointed if I'm honest but I will bring those things up with the hotel. Free parking on site as well as two bars.

The room was very comfortable with more than enough space to accommodate my mobility scooter and the bathroom with roll in shower was also very roomy with all the accessories I required. The standard of cleanliness was impeccable. The Management and staff making us feel very welcome from the instant we arrived, coming out to advise us the best way to park the car, so that access to and from the car for myself and also for my scooter was not compromised. Actually Chetan parked the car for me. He also ensured that the space for my car was always available when we returned from whatever trip we had been on. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had our evening meal, in the restaurant, on the first night. My friend and I have different dietary requirements and the staff were so knowledgeable about their menu that they were able to advise us what we could eat. The meal was great. Breakfast each morning was also adapted for our requirements. As already stated nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All accommodations for Covid restrictions are applied, so felt we were safe staying there. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The hotel is only a 5 min walk from the town centre, however, it is a steep hill so a car would be required for anyone with mobility issues. Amisha & Chetan definitely know how to make you feel welcome and feel that you will certainly return for another visit. I definitely will be going back.
