There was an event going on so the service was crazy slow, 45 minute wait for our meals. The restaurant is cute and clean. A head's up that you have to order at the bar, there aren't waitstaff to take your order. The gold stout was cold and refreshing. The zucchini soup was lightly spiced and the bread tasted freshly baked, inside steaming, melted the butter immediately. The Cullen skink, creamy without being buttery; smokey, smooth, and delicious. The pulled pork hot dogs were more like pulled pork on top of sausage. The bun was not toasted, quickly became soggy with the sauce from the pulled pork and pickled red onions., which kept getting stuck to the back of my mouth/teeth. The chips were perfect! The coleslaw had too much mayo on it that I didn't particularly enjoy. The salad was undressed and basic. Overall, an enjoyable and creative meal.

With an incredible view of the highlands and easy access to the A95, the hotel could not have been better located. During our stay, the owners, Dougie and Joanna welcomed us into their home and made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Additionally, Dougie and Joanna know the area quite well and provided great recommendations for dinner activities. No complaints whatsoever, a great place to stay in the highlands.
