In September of 2021, we decided to have our 17-year-old furnace, A/C. and water heater replaced. We thought it would be smart and perhaps more economical to have it all done by one company at one time. We had used Clawson to service our furnace over the past couple of years and have been very pleased with the level of thoroughness of the inspections and quality of maintenance we received. When we met with our sales rep. Chris, he cautioned that if we waited to have any of these items replaced, we would likely face much higher prices and/or supply chain issues. We asked if there were any concessions Clawson could offer since we were replacing not one but 3 items. Chris said he would look into it. So, we somewhat reluctantly agreed to sign the contract on the spot. Later, in speaking with a neighbor (who also had his system replaced recently) he mentioned that he felt the price quoted was very high even given the fact that the brand is Trane. But to be fair, Trane is one of the highest rated brands in the industry. He recommended always getting at least 3 bids for a job. We usually do that, so this was our mistake. The install was set for early 2022. On the day of our installation, the guys arrived on time and were professional, respectful and took steps in ensure that our garage and other areas were left clean. A couple of weeks following the install, we received a coupon from Clawson in our email for up to $1,550.00 off of a new "high efficiency" A/C unit. Woohoo! Since we had just had the install completed, we thought it would be worth it to see if this discount could be applied to the new A/C unit we purchased. After all, we had made a significant investment. But when I called to inquiry about it, I was told that it only applies to units with a higher SEER rating than the unit we had. However, this detail was not included on the email "coupon". Details matter. Also, it would be helpful to have had a detailed bid with prices listed for each component. That way, customers can compare their options. Did we end up getting what we paid for? Only time will tell. read more

I received a flyer in the mail from Clawson Heating & AC advertising a $99 20 point tune up. My furnace fan has started to make a high pitched whine recently so I figured I would take advantage of this deal and get it looked at. I checked Yelp and saw the 5 star reviews, so I went ahead and made the appointment. They were nice on the phone and were able to give me an appointment within a day or two. The guy arrived at the end of the appointment window and apologized about being a little late due to traffic. He was nice and efficient and fixed my belt on my furnace so that the whining stopped. He gave me some recommendations on what to do to keep my old furnace running. I would use them again. read more

Clawson heating pad put in my new heater four years ago. In the last year and a half we've had some troubles with water coming down from our Chimneycap into our furnace. during the four years we had you Clawson meeting for regular maintenance and they've always been fantastic. Absolutely FANTASTIC service. Our AC shut down on the hottest day of the year. Clawson had a tech get ahead on his schedule so he was able to make it over to my house same day. He looked quickly through our system (the same system that I had recently been told was completely shot and my only option was a brand new $5k set up) and made a couple fixes to minor and common issues (capacitor and clogged drain pipe). Called Clawson for a quote which they sent a person the next evening who was very helpful. She went over the details and I purchased a complete furnace & air conditioning replacement. The job was scheduled 2 weeks out which the installers came right on time and did a great job working non-stop for 11 hours. They took the time to review with me the steps of the replacement and answer any questions I had. The interesting thing is that they really seem to like their jobs and took pride in their work. Also during the installation, the person who gave me the quote, stop by to check on the job, see if there were any issues or questions. We have been dealing with Clawson Heating and Cooling for what feels like a long time, nearly 10 years. I am in customer service as well, and know well what it takes to give continuous excellent customer service - it takes transparent communication and hard work. Clawson's continuing excellent service is why we have maintained our ongoing relationship with them. So with this high expectation in mind, when our A/C stopped blowing cold air yesterday evening, we called Clawson's after hours number, and were both blessed and completely blown away by their awesome response! Within about 3 minutes of when we had given our information to the gentleman handling after hours calls, Chris called, telling me that Brent was already on his way to our house, and he himself would be there soon as well. 3 minutes after that phone call, Brent was at our front door asking how he could help us. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and set out to repair the concern. About 10 minutes after Brent arrived; Chris also showed up and worked with Brent to efficiently and quickly get our A/C back online. It turns out a power surge had taken out the capacitor in the A/C unit, and it needed to be replaced. While Brent was installing the new capacitor, Chris suggested that we install power surge protectors on both the A/C unit and the furnace to better protect our equipment from power surges. As that was a no brainer decision, they quickly installed the 2 surge protectors. In barely an hour from when we had determined the A/C wasn't working right, our A/C was back to blowing cold air, we were protected from the next power surge, and the 2 gentlemen were on their way to their next stops. I am still in awe of this demonstration of spectacular service and wish I could add plus points to the 5 point scale. I feel the service I received last night was 10 on a scale of 1 - 5! A huge "Thank You!" to Ryan for running a great local business, and to Chris and Brent for taking care of us in such spectacular fashion! When our air was serviced last week, a problem was found, and I am so glad we were able to get it taken care of before the summer heat. Joseph, a tech from Clawson Heating came out and serviced our furnace for $97.00. He was very knowledgeable and gave my husband some very good advice. When it came time to pay the $97.00, my husband gave him a hundred dollar bill and with the week, a paid invoice came to us with $3.00 in cash (the difference that was owed back to us). Joseph could have kept the additional money and not said a word, but it was promptly returned to us. This shows you the integrity of Joseph and the company. One month ago my heating system went out. The tech, Joe Teach, came out and fixed my system promptly. However, he warned me that I may have future problems since the furnace was 20 years old. Unfortunately for us, our system died three weeks later. Joe came back out and gave us a bid on our new system in addition to a partial credit for the part he previously installed. Two more techs from Clawsonheating came and installed our new system. I feel that Gage and Shaun did a great job as well. I work in the energy industry and feel that these men from Clawson were some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I have encountered in some time. I have a 4-plex of condos, and I contacted a furnace maintenance company for the annual maintenance. The company rep told me there were $2,000 of parts that were needed. He also said the furnaces were failing and would have to be replaced soon. I did not believe him, and called Clawson . I did not tell Clawson about the prior company. A person called Ren showed up to look at the furnaces. He had to climb through two small holes to get into the attic and then go into the crawlspace. I went with him. He did a lot of testing and looked at a lot of wires, 4 times, and then he good -naturedly explained a lot of his observations and thoughts,. The furnaces were all in good shape, outside of a little cleaning. The rep shared a number of facts about the furnaces, and I felt the information was practical and valuable. I recommend this company...the rep was professional, respectful, accommodating, an effective communicator, knowlegable, and the services were fairly priced. I am a constant chatty cathy, and he followed my chatter for an hour always responding politely and appropriately while climbing here and there around the building. We couldn't be happier with Clawson. We had our furnace act up about 6 months ago and we called someone and they said we needed a new furnace and wanted to sell us their brand. Our furnace was just installed 7 years ago. My husband ended up replacing a small part and it worked until last week. So with a recommendation we called Clawson. They came out and it was an unusual problem that ended up not being our furnace at all. Chris came out and was so nice and spent over 2 hours the first day and suggested we call NW Natural. After they came out things were resolved and our furnace now works. Chris came out again and checked it to be sure things were safe and working correctly. He said he even lost sleep thinking the problem through. Clawson was so great to come out again and double check to make sure everything was working and overall just a caring company- great team from the first phone call all the way through.
