The motor fully went out and they were able to order the part quickly and install it quickly. Fast forward to now, the dryer stopped blowing hot air. It took about 3 business days to air dry a load of clothes. HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys were able to offer same day service, we ended up choosing two days later just bc of our own chaotic schedule. However we appreciate their ability to come out same day. After an embarrassing moment of cleaning our dusty laundry room which has become our *what the heck* room of things that don't belong in other rooms. Max diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the part. Our heating element spring called it quits on us. He was in and out within 30-40 minutes. It's refreshing to have such quick service. Also, while communicating right here on Yelp messages, their replies were prompt. Always within an hour at the longest. Strongly recommend. After talking with Bill, briefly, it was obvious that he knew exactly what needed to be done, and he explained why the technique that I used didn't work, and that I just needed a 3/8" snake to do the job - even though my snake was long enough, it wasn't large enough to do the job - so I went ahead and had the work done. I was so impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work, including taking off his shoes before entering my residence, that I went ahead and had him do some additional work on a toilet with a leaky wax ring. The experience was great, the work was done quickly, and for an affordable price. Highly recommend these guys if you're looking to have any plumbing issues worked done. While Dane was wonderful in replacing our water heater's anode rod, it was quite bothersome that we…read morehad to pay $250 to have it replaced on a part covered under warranty. The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
