Since we moved in we've had nothing but issues pertaining to the builder with getting our punch list completed in a timely matter or things constantly happening because of the many corners that were cut to finish our home. I was full of anxiety & stress wondering now what with the many issues we've already come across. We recently had a leak from our T&P valve connected to our water heater which went from a little bit of water to a continuous drip leading to buckets of water having to toss out every 2-4 hours. By Contacting Hagerty & Sons, they not only came out the next day, but they were understanding, up front, and did not overcharge by trying to add any extra unneeded parts or repairs like the other two estimates that had previously had come out. This company knows there stuff and were very helpful. They were very knowledgeable & replaced my corroded T&P valve and corrected our issues that were absolutely not supposed to be happening among new construction. I live in a newly constructed condo, but some of the contractors workmanship was shoddy. After only…read more6 months, the garbage disposal began leaking due to being installed improperly. My sister called Good Plumbing after seeing some favorable recommendations from neighbors on the Nextdoor website. She was told it would be $300 to remove the garbage disposal, reseal it and remount it. Not knowing any better she decided to go ahead with the job and Pete arrived a short time later that very same evening. He said he'd be in the area and could stop by on his way from another job. Pete completed the job effectively, but his customer service left something to be desired. When he was done I asked him if there would be an additional charge in the event he had to come out again. He seemingly took this as a personal attack on his job performance and stated there would be no reason for him to come out again. I attempted again to get my original question answered, but he insisted it wouldn't be necessary. And when it came time to pay for the bill (via CC) he insisted on writing down my sister's full name, address, card number, zip code AND 3 digit security code on the back of the card. We both took issue with this for obvious reasons... it's simply not wise or safe to have that kind of information laying around on paper. Pete said it was GP policy to write down all that information and preceded to show us his clipboard containing a stack of customer receipts. All the receipts contained names, CC numbers, zip codes and security codes. I assume he was attempting to reassure us, but it did the exact opposite. I theorized if his truck was stolen then the thieves would have a field day charging up customer's credit cards. Pete balked at this suggestion stating that he'd never had a customer's information stolen in 35 years. And that previous customer's had charged upwards of 40k for certain jobs. As I said, Pete wasn't winning any customer service awards... Being dismissive of customer concerns isn't exactly the way to build rapport or loyalty. Also, it's 2021...there's no need for any service provider to be taking down customer's information. Not when there are a plethora of payment apps available that safely process payments. My sister plans to cancel her credit card and request a new one once the charge for Good Plumbing is processed. Adding insult to injury, a couple of male friends told me later that we had been severely overcharged for the service provided. One friend said we'd been "raped." Pete replaced the mounting bracket for the disposal which retails for about $20 because he said he didn't like the way our existing one looked. Then he sealed it with plumbers putty that costs about $5 at Home Depot. It maybe took him 15 minutes to do the job. I don't know what the average cost is to fix a leaking garbage disposal, but I do know the Badger model I have retails for $110. So basically, I could've had two new ones for the price we paid. That didn't feel great, but you live and learn. Next time I'll use Task Rabbit and save a few bucks. On a positive note, I appreciated Pete's prompt response... it wasn't an emergency, but the same day service was a plus. We called a few other places and was told it'd be anywhere from a few days to a week for someone to come out. Pete also wore a mask (properly) following Covid protocols. And so far his work has been solid. We haven't had any problems.

Be careful and ALWAYS ask them for a quote 1st. They have a show-up fee of $59.95 so when their ridiculous quote is unacceptable, the company at least gets paid for gas and the employees time.

Hired Lacassa plumbing to fix a small leak in the basement. They technician came out and cut out…read morethe pvc and reconnected everything with mission bands, he did not hard pipe everything back together as we discussed. After paying him $1700, my wife took a shower up on the second floor. Water poured all the way down into the basement. The ceiling on the 1st was soaked and pretty much collapsed when I went to cut it out. Michael, the owner showed up and agreed with me that the technician who did the work in the basement did a poor job. Micheal fixed everything in the basement. I cut holes in the 2nd and 1st floor bathroom walls so he had access to the pvc riser pipe. After I repaired all of the drywall and repainted everything, I noticed every time you use the 2nd floor bathroom shower, water drips all the way down to the basement. I have been calling, leaving messages and emailing Lacassa plumbing for 4 months , not once did I get a response. $2500 later, not including my time and material to fix the drywall, I still have a leak. I would definitely not recommend this company. what I have seen , his technicians, as they call themselves, are far from being plumbers. I am not a plumber , but am a union tradesman, I know quality work when I see it, this is not! I did the plumbing for my daughter bath tub, sink and added a slop sink in her laundry room.
