I have known Jesse for nearly 10 years, having first met him while working as a project manager…read more Throughout that time, I have had the opportunity to work with him professionally and have referred numerous remodeling clients to him. My experience with Jesse has consistently been positive. What has always stood out to me about Jesse is his commitment to remaining involved with his clients throughout the entire remodeling process, from the initial consultation through completion. He does not simply start a project and disappear or hand everything off to someone else. He takes pride in his work, communicates with his customers, and makes an effort to address concerns when they arise. I served as the project manager for David Orr's remodeling project. Jesse was responsible for the remodeling work, while my team handled the fabrication and installation of the countertops and sinks. Working alongside Jesse gave me firsthand knowledge of his involvement in the project and his interactions with the client. Throughout the project, I found Jesse to be professional, courteous, meticulous in his work, and fair in his pricing. What concerns me most about this review is the timeline and the circumstances surrounding it. The project was completed approximately nine months before this review was posted. There were plenty of opportunity to inspect the completed project at the time the work was finished. The customer did not want to replace the cabinet due to waiting for the arrival of the new baby. When painting older cabinets a stain finish is recommended. That is what agreed upon, not a glossy finish like laminated cabinets. If the work was considered unacceptable upon completion, it raises reasonable questions as to why those concerns were not raised during the final inspection or immediately following completion. It also raises the question of what changed during the months that followed and why the original five-star review was removed. There was also previously a five-star review of the project that was later removed and replaced with this negative review. Given my direct involvement in the project, I believe that history is relevant context. I am not suggesting that a customer cannot later discover an issue or change their opinion. That can certainly happen. However, when a project was completed months earlier, inspected at completion, and initially received a positive review, I believe that timeline should also be considered when evaluating a review that is posted much later. Over the nearly 10 years that I have known and worked with Jesse; I have personally witnessed him return to projects to address concerns, make corrections, and complete touch-ups when necessary. I have also seen him go beyond the original scope of work on occasion as a courtesy to his customers. No contractor is perfect, and mistakes can happen on remodeling projects. What has mattered to me when referring my own clients to Jesse is how he responds when an issue arises. In my experience, Jesse has made an effort to address legitimate concerns and stand behind his work. I respect every customer's right to share their experience. At the same time, because I served as the project manager on this particular project, I believe it is important to provide additional context based on what I personally observed. My comments are not based on assumptions or on someone else's account of the project. They are based on my direct involvement with the work and my professional experience working with Jesse for nearly a decade. My experience with Jesse has been one of professionalism, accountability, and a genuine commitment to his customers.

I was looking at replacing 3 bathroom faucet cartridges, as I had one leaking and felt it was best to replace all 3 at once with one plumber visit. At first contact they requested I sent an email photo of the brand and they would have a plumber investigate and contact me with the replacement cartridges needed. I never heard back. I took a photo and put it in ChatGPT to find their recommendation and purchased them from Home Depot. I reconnected Kuhn and set up a time for a service call. The plumber came and after 30 minutes he informed me that the replacement cartridges I had brought were incorrect. He told me that the company will research the manufacturer and call me back with the product and costs. As I have a leaking faucet, how long would the turnaround be. His response was "we are not very good on that and it usually takes 2 to 3 months". I explained that my faucet is leaking and that is unacceptable. He said he will talk with his supervisor, but gave no guarantee or sense of urgency. I was charged a total of $263,25. The rate was $195 per hour. He was here a total of 45 minutes and charged me for travel time back to the shop. When I was quoted the price I was told it was for labor only and was not informed that it also included travel time, Overall, very disappointed that Kuhn felt it was acceptable to have a leaking faucet for 3 months, did nothing to fix the issue and have deceptive pricing.

As a fellow small business owner, I feel obligated to warn others about our experience with this…read moreHVAC/R contractor. Over more than a decade of managing vendors, this has been hands down the most disappointing and unreliable company we've dealt with. We initially entrusted them with all our heating, cooling, and refrigeration needs. Unfortunately, what followed was poor communication, subpar service, and a complete lack of accountability. When issues came up--which happened frequently--they were more interested in deflecting blame than fixing the problems. Over a year, they raised our service rates by 25% without any notice or explanation, and when I reached out to ask about it, they never responded. I also requested several quotes that were never provided. As a busy business owner, I shouldn't have to chase down contractors just to give them our business. Even worse, they billed us for services that were clearly not performed. I verified this myself--twice--and one time had to bring in a third-party HVAC tech to confirm (with photo evidence) that a rooftop unit hadn't been serviced as claimed. Despite being presented with clear proof, they refused to acknowledge or resolve the issue. After nearly two months of delays and rescheduling for a correction that never happened, we finally hired another company to finish the job. Their refrigeration work was even more troubling. They miscalculated and mis-sized a walk-in freezer, resulting in a system we had to completely replace. They relied on bad measurements and passed critical sizing calculations to a supplier instead of doing it themselves. Even when I showed them accurate specs from the equipment manufacturer, they pushed back with excuses instead of taking responsibility. To make matters worse, they submitted a bid to replace our walk-in cooler and freezer with dimensions that were entirely off. Had we accepted the quote, the units would've physically not fit the space--basic measurement errors that would have led to a major installation failure. The most aggravating part of all this has been their tone: dismissive, defensive, and utterly lacking in professionalism. If you're considering this company, I urge you to think twice. When things go wrong--and they very well might--you'll be on your own. You deserve a vendor who respects your time, your business, and takes pride in getting it right.
