So price looked good, maybe a little too good and i bought it. I replaced the coil and plugs and the check engine remained on. Took it to a shop and i get told that oh by the way it needs an engine. Cam and lifter failure with metal in the oil. So i got hosed, 12k engine job i can't afford to do and a truck I can't really drive and making payments on. I asked if I could schedule an extended test drive for in the morning to have my mechanic look at it, after all I do live 75 minutes away. Sure thing, but there is someone here to look at it as we speak, ok thanks for letting me know. 2 minutes later, ya know what I just told my wife that has been waiting in the car with my toddler that I was going to buy it, so lets do it. Sales lady that was showing the car to someone else strolls through and my salesman says we are going to run his credit so he can purchase, Why would you do that my guy is a mechanic and is going to buy. But wait i'm still here and have been here now for over 2 hours, I would like to buy and I assume since I was here first I could still do that, sorry nope you missed your chance. Well she ended up storming off I am assuming to go get the manager, since like 3 minutes later he was in the office telling me their was nothing he could do because he couldn't take the keys away from the other guy, but yet that is what was done to me. These guys dont care about you just about getting a sale and their commission im assuming. Im sorry it took me 120 seconds to say yes I wanted to buy it. What a classless establishment, I wouldn't do business with them. Just left an overall bad taste in my mouth.

Came back for my scheduled appointment and they'd sold the tire they ordered for me to another customer, so now had to wait another 2 days and come back again. Then, unfortunately, had a rock crack my windshield the same week. My insurance covers the windshield repair but Tom Wood doesn't have it in stock, has to order it, and said it's on national backorder so they said it would likely be months until they get one in. I told Corbin to go ahead and order it since insurance would cover it, but they refused to order the part. They wanted to be paid upfront for the windshield AND the repair ahead of time even though they said it would be months before they do the work. Insurance won't pay for a "promised" repair, only a completed repair. The entire thing is ridiculous. They want to be paid in full for work they didn't complete. I asked Corbin to work with my insurance on a solution. He didn't bother, just said that they needed the money upfront for the "promised" repair, which, understandably, insurance isn't willing to cover.

Just got home and the brakes are like new. I am convinced these folks are the best most honest folks in the business. If you are in the general vicinity, you will want to know of the most honest family business you can work with. Kudos to them.

I called Colby and got on his list and sure it took a few months but in turn the more and more he did for me the more and more I asked him to take care of. It went in for brake work and I kept tacking on more and more and eventually asked for a complete engine rebuild that yes did take a few months but remember parts are super hard to find nowadays. He gave me updates every step of the way. He's 150 miles away from me one direction and you can guarantee every large VW job I have I'm sending to him! He helped us negotiate a good deal on our new used car and get a fair deal for our trade in. I wish the sales manager would have come out and introduced himself and worked with Alan and us to save some back and forth time. Zachary in the finance department was also very friendly and knowledgeable in helping us finish the process. We did end up adding on the warranty thanks to Zachary helping us see the value.
