I loved this salon! They have temperature color changing gel nail polish! Coolest thing ever, I'd always get my nails done back in my home town with the same kind of polishes and since then haven't been able to find them, till now the guy doing my nails was very precise, he measured each finger to make sure they were all the same lengths. He even would start over if he wasn't satisfied with the nail (not a bad thing, at least he is making sure you leave satisfied). I definitely will come back for a fill in. I recently moved to Gainesville and and very bratty about my nails. I used to drive to Jacksonville after having horrible experiences at 3 different nail salons here. I am OCD about shaping and all the sides being painted! Tung shaped the perfect coffin shape and ensured the length and the shape were to my liking before finishing. Stopped by Classy Nails on a Thursday morning and walked in for a gel manicure. I had a previous gel manicure removed by Tony and had the majority of my gel manicure done by Cathy and finished off by Tung. I love love LOVE the result!! To remove my previous gel and get a new manicure with gel, I paid $30 which I think is very reasonable. Cathy was super helpful when I asked her about if I should get dip powder or gel, and she was very honest and told me that since I already have nice long nails, the gel would work out just fine for me so I wouldn't have to spend extra money on dip! To remove my previous gel manicure and get dip powder, it would have been $50. I really appreciate how she went out of her way to explain things to me instead of trying to sell me the more expensive option! The staff are all really nice and easy to talk to, and I think that this is going to be my new regular nail place. Cathy told me that on weekends they are super busy so I would need an appointment, but good walk in times would be in the mornings/early afternoon on weekdays. This was my Fourth visit. I wasn't in love with my experience the way I was the first three times. I took a while to be seen, which I don't really hold against them, they have the workers that they have on duty. Eventually, I was called over to have my previous gel nails removed (the lady put on the gel remover acetone) but I waited there another 45minutes before she was ready to see me. I hate to complain but my cuticles were burning & I know that this solution didn't have to be on my hands that long. Despite all this I would have still been content if the end result was flawless... but it was just mediocre. Might just be my perception(check out the pictures) but I felt like the gel polish could have been polished more near my cuticles, it looked like this was a week grown out even though the picture was taken immediately after getting them done. My technician seemed really rushed throughout the process. For whatever reason at the end she said the total was $40, which I didn't understand because the other times I've come I have paid $30 ($25 for gel polish; $5 for gel removal). Anyways, my Total experience took over two hours, I arrived 15 minutes after open, at 10am, and didn't get in my car until 12:33pm. I'm not wildly unhappy but my tip would be if you find a technician who does a great job, get their name, and request them specifically. If I have one of the other ladies here do my nails again, I'm going to be sure to do just that so that I can get the repeat service of care and courteousness that I have received previously. read more

I have been to a lot of nail places and this is by far my favorite place. I've had nothing but a great experience with them. My nail always look on POINT and I leave getting exactly what I wanted! I've also brought a ton of friends with me and they love it to! The outside clientele is a little sketchy but don't let them scare you cause the inside and people are wonderful. read more

Tung is AMAZING. Has never in almost 3 years been a disappointment. His mother is the best and almost only person I like to do my pedicures. They are always efficient and the salon is always clean. I refer almost everybody I know here. The whole staff is friendly and works good together. They actually listen to what you want and even help you figure it out when you dont. read more

Today was my friends first day trying a nail place in Gainesville and she decided to go to Classy Nails. Let me just say 20 minutes later her nail came clean off. Then an hour later two more nails. Then while she was there the lady tried to make her pay an extra $5 because wanted two nails one other color (claiming that's a design) and the lady had an attitude. When we returned after the other two nails popped off she wanted her money back and the man said they would charge her $10 to take off the rest of the nails. I have been going to Classy Nails on and off for 2-3 years. The times I wasn't going it was because of life transitions and lack of time. I have tried to try other nail locations in Gainesville, but none compare. At other nail shops in Gainesville my nails break off, start to lift or I end up having other problems that I never have with classy nails. At classy nails my nails grow out perfectly between my two weeks. The only thing with anything is try to reframe from going on Fridays or Saturdays unless you go super early or have an appointment because they can be crazy busy. I started going earlier in the week and have a better wait time. Tung(Tom) usually does my nails, and I have gotten my nails done by other techs there but idk their names. I wanted to get a gel french manicure for graduation, and I decided to give Classy Nails a try because I read its good reviews. I was very pleased with what I got! The younger man (the one who usually answers the phone) did my nails, and it's been almost 3 weeks since I got my nails done, and my nails are still in great condition. There has been no chipping or anything. They got my nails done in a reasonable time, and I would definitely come back to get my nails done again. Please read before you get acrylics!!!!! I get acrylics done every couple weeks. I've gone to a LOT of salons. This one was terrible. I Tried this one out because the yelp review pictures of acrylics looked great!! It wasn't clean. There was nail dust everywhere and I feel like the tools were not clean at all. The receptionist lady did my nails. Can't remember her name, but young, thin girl. I got Acrylics. It was the worst Acrylic experience I've ever had. And I get Acrylics a LOT. She was very rough with my nails and cuticles and skin around my nails. My finger tips still really hurt and it's been 24 hours. She didn't clean up my cuticles or hangnails around my nails. I think she gave me an infection on my pinky. The shapes were bad, too, and she wouldn't listen to me with what I wanted. I literally had her stop after "shaping" them because I knew I was going to have to RE shape them when I got home with my thick file. Payed my $25 and left to reshape AND paint at home. Very frustrating. Was trying to save $ but would have preferred to pay $50 for a good manicure and not sore nails and infection today. read more

This place is super close to my house, but it's located in a small plaza that doesn't look too hot on the outside, so I never thought to go in. After scouring the Internet looking for a great nail place that wouldn't charge a fortune, I stumbled across their portfolio on Facebook and knew I had to check this place out, and I'm so happy I did! I came to them with awful looking nails that hadn't been done in 3 months, but they treated me very politely and were happy to help me in making my nails fabulous again! Tung did my nails and they came out better than I could have imagined. It's important to note that this isn't a place that wants to take your money and send you off. Tung is a great nail tech, and actually cares about the health of your nails! The salon I had been going to previously destroyed my nails without me realizing, because it was my first experience with acrylic and I didn't know what to expect. Tung recommended treatments to heal them, and said that he wouldn't do anything rough to them until they were healed. I appreciate that kind of treatment! During my visit, there was also a young woman next to me who had her nails done by another one of their artists, and they looked amazing! Best manicure I've ever had. I came here because 1) it's about 30 seconds from where I work, and 2) because of the other yelp reviews. The manicure was abseloutely meticulous... she really took her time. They did an excellent job on my nails, the guy there was so open to what I wanted- if you bring a photo and state your price range, the people here can easily accommodate. Very professional and clearly good at what they do, but has a very friendly atmosphere. I went here for the first time for my prom nails, and they did such a good job at such a reasonable price that I will definitely be coming back in the future. They gave good suggestions and improvements to what I wanted done, and showed me other pictures to give me a better idea. Overall, although the price is average, the quality and attention to detail here is unparalleled. If you're really picky with your nail don't bother I literally had to be on top of the lady who was doing my nail. So when I first got there they greeted me horribly I had a stair down with an older worker before she asked what I wanted, the older lady started doing my pedicure and she was doing everything so effortlessly (not in a good way) I had to tell her a couple times to fix my nails or to apply more pressure in the middle of my pedicure the older lady switched me off to a younger lady (she was better but still ehhh). While I was getting my pedicure some lady got her eyebrows messed up so heads up I wouldn't recommend getting your brows done there! So we moved on to manicure and once I again I had to be on top of the lady to file them correctly (multiple nails were uneven). I was searching and searching for a good nail salon in Gville. I think I stalked Yelp for awhile, but I unfortunately always look over this place. For some reason one time I clicked on it and even though it only had 5 reviews, but it was a strong 5 reviews so I decided to give it a try. I called at 10:15am on a Monday to see if they could see me aftet I got off work and I got an appt no problem. When I got there, I waited about 5 mins before someone took me which was fine because they were pretty busy. I needed a gel manicure for a conference I was about to go to. I picked out my classic red color and sat down. Kathy was amazing! She took time to reshape my nails into the round shape I like plus took time to repair one of my thumb nails that had started to crack. Once she was done I was beyond happy! I'm super picky when it comes to my nails - I have a certain red shade I love and I don't like paying a forture, plus I don't like my nails chipping so quickly after I get them done (which is why finding a nail salon is so difficult). But in under an hour my nails came out wonderful! I'm super pleased and will definitely be going back. If you go, ask for Kathy - you won't regret it! read more

Everything about my trip was horrible. Online and in the store the pamphlets say a fill is $15, I also had 2 repairs. The pamphlet also said a repair was $1-3. That means my nails should be $21 max. I also was planning on getting gel which is $10 extra, a very normal price. So my nails should be $31. I asked how much it would be and she said $41. I was very confused and asked very nicely how much each thing i was getting done was. She said it was $5 for having long nails and $5 for "special shape" which is any shape other than square. They don't list this anywhere online or in their pamphlet. Because of this extra got, I told her that she didn't have to shape them and she could cut them down. She got very upset and snippy with me saying that it would still cost the same because i came in with nails already shaped like that and that even if she cut them down it would still be the same because I came in with them long. She 100% made this up just to charge on extra and take advantage of me. She was so mean to me even though i stayed very polite and nice and she made me feel horrible. There was nothing i could do because she had already done it. I will never go back. read more

WORST NAIL SALON !!!! Do not waste your time or money! If I could give them negative stars I would ! The first and only time I went to get my nails done the guy I was put with was incredibly rude. He laughed in my face as I showed him three different designs, and he one by one said he could not do them. I should have known then to just leave but I went with a basic two color option . He rushed the whole procedure and cut my nails up like I have never seen. When he was done the job looked so bad I didn't want to leave like that . I ended up walking out to walk right back end and tell them to take them off. I had gotten in my car for five minutes and the sides of a few of the nails had started to peel off...unbelievable. The "manager" put me back with him again and he destroyed my nails getting polish off . I've been looking at a reasonably priced nail salon for a while and when I found this place I was so happy! I came in without an appointment and they had recently had a couple employees leave so they were busy but asked if I could come back in an hour which was reasonable to me, they're near the mall so in the meantime I went to get my eyebrows threaded. When I came back I told the guy doing my nails, Tung (im pretty sure thats how its spelled), how I wanted my nails done and showed him a picture, he really made sure I got what i wanted and was happy with everything! I wanted an almond shape, which most place that i've gone to always mess up the shape or get them uneven, but he made sure the whole way when he shaped my nails, they were nice and even and that i liked them. The whole time i was getting my nails done, girls and even guys were coming in the whole time to get their nails done specifically asking for Tung, this made me feel even better about having him do my nails. He takes pride in his work and posts pictures of his work on instagram and facebook.
