There are two things in this world I must do no matter how broke I am and that's get my eyebrows done (I recommend BrowArt 23) and get a pedicure. That being said, it is such a mission to try and find a place that consistently gives a good pedicure. I think I found it in Gainesville though: Happy Nails. No matter who you get on staff, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a good pedi. They'll always take their time to focus on you, no matter how busy it may get. The biggest perk for me is that they include a hot stone massage on your legs and feet at no extra charge. Their other services are fantastic as well, including the manis. Kenny is the go to guy for manicures there but I would try to book an appointment since people are always requesting him. This place is a great gem. read more

Ever since Jennie left the service has gone way down hill. Was there 2 hours for a basic mani and pedi. It cost me $80. The gel polish was peeling within a few days and the overall experience was very poor. Especially for the price. read more

After going to several salons in Gainesville, I finally found one that does perfect mani/pedis every time... Ken and team are excellent manicurists! At first I only would request Ken, but then, after having others on the staff do a full set, I realized that multiple people (whose names I don't remember - sorry!) are also great at full set/fill manicures. Their pedicures are great too: You can choose from a menu and get anywhere from a basic pedicure, to a more extravagant one with scented oils, longer massage, etc. Also, I am immunocompromised (kidney transplant meds) and need a VERY CLEAN environment and their shop seems to be extremely clean too - which is highly important to me. Today I received a terrible gel pedicure here. I paid $45 PLUS a tip. I got home one hour later and the polish is already coming off. What a ripoff! The woman did not leave the light on long enough and kept moving it over to the other foot. Each "light session" was less than 30 seconds instead of the normal 60 seconds. The result is that the polish doesn't stay on. I would never go back here. read more

This is the only place in Gainesville I will go. I was a nail tech myself for 12 years. I always get compliments on my happy nails. Prices are fair and Kenny & Jenny are the best in town. So, after reading many good reviews, I decided to try out Happy Nails. The location was abysmal. It was dead silent inside. The nail color selection was out of order and pathetic at best. Most were dried shut, unable to be opened and tested. The mani/pedi for $35 was mediocre. The pedicure was decent. She took her time and was attentive. My huge disappointment came when she painted my nails. A manicure is great, but if I leave needing to go home and touch it up, I've wasted my money. I attached a picture. The were lumps and hairs from the brushes and the paint job left so much to be desired. While the staff was friendly, I would not come back. I'd rather a rude staff and a great manicure. read more

So I decided to come here with a friend and when we got there they made us wait even though we had an appointment and walk ins were still going in. Then the guy that works there didn't even fill neither or our nails. I get that since we had marble so he told us that he could only do a cover up on top. My friend ask him if she could matte and he said yes but when I ask him he said no that he wasn't going to do them like that. So after he painted them with gel he left paint on my friends fingers where he messed up. After both of had a good look at them and saw how thick he left them from not filling them and just using exaggerated coats of paint we left without leaving him a tip. We were thinking about getting pedicures there but they don't even use bags for the chairs. Two weeks later and my nails are getting brown. I absolutely do not recommend this place! read more

Literally the worst place to go to. This lady messed up my nails so I went back the next day because I had stuff to do the day they were done and he wanted to charge me to fix them . They were clumpy and not even The same length and told me if I didn't want to pay to have them fixed to go back to the lady who did them lol who I clearly wasn't happy with . After I just paid 50 + tips for them.. So I tried to go back and try someone else and they said they couldn't do my nails because I complained about my nails being ugly and clumpy . So I said "there isn't anyone else in here who can do nails" and he said "no" very rude while doing someone else's nails. Then when I asked them to take off my nails (the day I wanted to just get them fixed because I liked them nust not the clumpy and uneven look) he left the nail color all on my nails and didn't even take them off all the way. SCAM ALERT- HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! Do not take your hard earned money to this place! I rarely get my nails done but decided to treat my self on my day off. What a nightmare!! Worst Pedicure and manicure I've ever had! I showed the lady picture of what I wanted asked if she could do it- she says yes, gives me menu tells me to pick my pedicure I picked out the 42$ Pedicure and $30 manicure. She charged me 100$ said 20$ extra charge for multiple colors on my toes of course told me this after she ran my card not one word of extra charge for multiple colors. I will be Disputing the charge with my bank! I don't mind paying for quality work but this is very unacceptable took her less then 30 minutes you can obviously tell from the pictures it's rushed work! The gel polish bubbled and started peeling Immediately after, not sure if she didn't let it cure under the light long enough! Please go somewhere else!! After having bad experiences at a few different nail salons around Gainesville, I can thankfully say I have finally found a place that I am really happy with! A true testament to their name, they were very polite and friendly. I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the door. I got a basic manicure and a pedicure for $35, a very reasonable price. They gave me a nice, long massage on my arms and legs and my nails look great. I am definitely never going anywhere else. This is by far the only nail salon I'd recommend in Gainesville. read more

Friendly staff, decent pricing and below average polish application. I came in for a pedicure and was immediately put into a chair with my feet soaking. My wait wasn't very long. The scrubbing and massage was rushed. My heels don't look any better than when I came in. The nail tech was really nice but she wasn't the best at painting nails. Also a lot of the polish bottles are almost empty, so it kind of limits the selection. I will look for another place to get a pedicure. read more

It was great, only thing I noticed later that she filed one of my finger nails a little crooked, but otherwise really nice service considering I was a walk-in (exploring my way) it was 34 bucks for both the mani pedi. I'm surprised I have even given this place one star. I have given this salon multiple opportunities but enough is enough. Yes they are cheap but you get what you pay for. The first time I had a bad experience was when the gentlemen was doing my acrylics and he was drilling them so fast he was burning my actual nail underneath and I tried pulling away and he didn't even apologize and continued to keep doing the same thing. Each time I go to have my toes done they complain about how short my toenails are and today I walked out of the salon after hearing the same complaint to look down at my French and it looked like a 3 year old had done it. Probably one of the worse nail salons services I've gotten Ever. I came in to get my toe nail Polish changed and a broken acrylic nail repaired. I had not gotten my nails done there originally so they did not have the color. (1st place I went to was amazing but across town) I picked a black coat and a blue glitter to go over it to best match what I already had. Not sure if that was to much work for the guy (whom already appeared to have an attitude because he was standing outside when i arrived and had to come in and work) or my services were going to be less than $20; but he literally told me to get up because he wasn't going to do it. I said okay can someone else? He replied no one will help you and said aloud I had an attitude. I was having an amazing day up until then. This was my second time being there and my service wasn't great the first time, but I was satisfied enough to return. Never again. I was disgusted. I went across the street to Pretty Nails with the same problem, and had no problem being able to match the color that was on my nails. They were sweet and happy to help. Happy Nails has a bunch of miserable people working in there. Oh yeah and the Manager Tony didn't care at all when i called and told him what happened. He didn't even apologize on behalf of his employees. And i live less than 5 minutes from happy nails that should be my go to salon. Never Again! read more
