This was my first visit here and I saw great reviews on this salon so I decided to try them out. The salon is very bright and clean looking. There was only one other customer in there and barely anyone came in while I was there. They didn't have a great selection of gel colors to choose from. Update: decided to update my review after having my nails for a couple of weeks! The gel manicure lasted for a while which in surprised because I've them done before and they started to peel after a week! These didn't start coming apart until week 2! I just got them redone today and the mail girl, Jeanette, was awesome! She knew what she was doing and was so professional! Definitely getting them done again by Jeanette! I'm not going to lie , the customer service is great , however, I don't know what this lady has gone through in the day, but for her to excessively put pressure with the tweezers on my eyebrows , consistently scraping my eyebrows , this is what I was left with , scrapes and cuts , the brow shape was fine , everything was fine until she started scraping my eyebrows with the tweezers trying to get the little tiny hairs , she needs to learn how to use a light hand because whenever I run water on my eyebrow it burns and it will be like this for a couple days now , I had people asking me what happened because it looked like I fell HARD , other than that, everything was fine read more

Found this nail salon when the mall salon started giving bad manicures. It's more expensive and a bit high for me, but it's very clean and they have a nice selection of colors. Manicure 4/5: the manicure started chilling a few days after I got it which surprised me, but only 2 nails chipped slightly so it wasn't bad. Otherwise it was a nice manicure and came out looking great for New Years. Looked like they have a lot of regulars so I'm thinking it may have just been because I had a sparkly nail polish, which tends to fall off faster in my experience. Service 5/5: it was very easy to schedule an appointment. The girl assigned to me was very friendly and did a great job. Venue 5/5: very clean, easy to find parking, tons of great colors for gel or regular color. What looked like the owner was walking around making sure everything was going well, but he wasn't hovering or telling employees what to do. My mom needed an "emergency" nail fix after getting out of the airport so I got a shellac while I waited. They were able to schedule two appointments for an hour and a half from that time - awesome and it only took us 20 minutes for them to tend to us! They had great color options, the nail techs were friendly, and they did a really really great job. My nail tech commented on how tan my color was going to make me look - he knew just what to say. Lol. The best part is my shellac was only $17. That price is insanely low for such a great job. People pay $40 in Pittsburgh. (Not me, but other people do.) read more

Second time getting my nails done here and I am impressed. Friendly and professional service. Went on a Friday morning so you know It was packed with ladies everywhere. Everyone, including myself was thinking the same thing. Either go early to beat the traffic or go early to get it over with. Anywho, for it to have been packed I didn't wait too long for service. I got a refill & a pedicure. They have a great selection of nail polishes. I loved how they stuck the gel and regular nail polishes together with Velcro. Makes it convenient if you're getting your fingers and toenails done with the same color. The lady that did my pedicure did an amazing job! Forgot to get her name. OMG! She took her time with everything. Gave me one of the best massages everrrr! It was something else lol! I made sure to tip her good lol! Right after I was finished getting my pedicure, I got in the chair to get my refill done. Judy, did a good job on my nails. She was very friendly. She shaped my squared nails into the "coffin" shaped nails. This lady knows what she's doing! Didn't take long at all. For all my services (no designs) that I described up top...everything came out to be $51. The decor is really nice. Equipment and furniture seems to be pretty updated and clean. They have wifi! You know these details are important! It's also a small hook at the nail station to hang your pocketbook. Convenient! It can be challenging to find a good spot to get your nails done. I got the classic manicure and pedicure. Janet did a great job! She double checked her work to make sure that my cuticles were neatly cut. I like this nail salon because they offer a scrub and cleaned my nails with a nailbrush. The interior is nicely decorated. I do think the manicure was a little backwards. She massaged my hands with lotion, then had me wash my hands. Now my hands are dry. But despite my nit picking, my nails look good. And most importantly, she didn't rush me. Oh and they have a foot sander, too! Don't be too embarrassed to ask for it. Lol! read more

I didn't know hours of operation but I called this salon to set up a Tuesday appt, the employee said that the day I wanted looked good for her to put me in for gel manicure....then I get to salon on my scheduled appt, rushing to make sure I'm on time and the salon was closed. HORRIBLE!! I went Friday afternoon, my second time for a pedicure, different person this time. The girl didn't follow instructions, she nicked my 2nd toe, enough so I have a small cut on it the next day. But worst of all is when I went to tell & show her what a bad job it was she pointed to her Mgr, and I showed the manager and the manager said "Oh thats just the way your feet are your skin is", I'm like "No, I have never walked out having a pedicure with my feet looking like this". The manager did nothing and offered nothing. I will NEVER GO BACK. I should have stuck to Pinkys Nail Salon my usual, Pinkys is just always busy. I was in town for the weekend and needed somewhere to get a gel fill and pedicure. My best friend suggested Rio and I didn't mine going because the first time I went the service was phenomenal and my nails looked great. This time, my nails and feet looked great inside the salon. I stepped out to notice the color on my nails was different from the color on my feet. Mind you, they have gels and regular colors paired together. The colors were paired with the same name so there wasn't an oversight on my behalf. I gave the tech a $20 tip on a $51 bill. I went back in to tell the tech. After telling the owner, she immediately got defensive and she informed me that I would have to pay to get the same color on my feet. It actually wasn't either of our fault. I guess I expected for them to have a little understanding and change the color as a courtesy. I would have gladly offered to pay if the owner was polite about it. The way the owner handled the situation is the ONLY reason why I will never return to Rio Nails again. Customer service is key. I would have been satisfied with mediocre nails if the service was A1. read more
