I am a recent transplant from the city and was struggling to find a good nail salon close by; unfortunately on yelp there wasn't much to chose from and this one had a 4 star review and so I thought I'd give it a shot. I walked-in and asked for the spa Mani/pedi that was advertised for $35. I would say the girl who did both the mani and pedi did a fine job- nothing spectacular, but the following 3 things brought my review down to below average: 1) cleanliness of the facility-the floor needed vacuumed and the tables, seating and walls needed wiped down 2) lack of help after the Mani/Pedi. I was told to sit for 6 minutes and then the girl left. No one helped me put my shoes on, said good-bye...nothing. My experience in the city was a mini neck massage while waiting for my nails to dry and an overabundance of help with my purse, coat and shoes at the end, in more salons than one. 3) you cannot leave a tip on your credit card so you either have to have cash on you or, in my case, find an ATM and go back. read more

I just left Classy nails and I must say, I left very disappointed. I've been getting my nails done for years now and I have never had the experience I had here at Classy Nails. The lady that did my nails even from the beginning was very rude to me. She barely said a word to me and when she did it was bitchy. I walked in with a great smile on my face and left with a frown. When I asked for a nail color opinion on which nude she recommended she said "they're the same color it doesn't matter". I asked for almond shape and insisted that the price would be more and I said that was fine. She did a terrible job at shaping my nails and I told her to make them less sharp and she said no it won't look good. I'm a server, I know how much customer service means to a guests experience. I have never not tipped someone before today. She did not deserve a tip whatsoever. I will not recommend or be returning. read more

I used this place for years when I could use the same nail technician. I tried them again a couple of weeks ago because I was at the mall. I thought maybe it will be okay because of the new management even though I used a different tech. Do not let Van do your nails! She had to stop and fix someone's lashes now I know why! Horrible work. I have strong nails and I get no chip manicures. She filed my natural nails down to remove the old polish instead of waiting for the remover to work. A day later my nail had chipped. I went back and asked her to fix it. She said I just needed the polish redone. 2 days later the chip had torn halfway cross my nail and they charged me $5 to put an acrylic I paid because I thought I could go two more weeks. Well I had to go somewhere else to get my nails done again. I'm upset because I gave her a great tip and when I came back they were really rude about fixing my nail and charging me again. Then I still had to go somewhere and pay to get my whole manicure done because they could not match the color. I will never go here again!!! read more

I've been coming to this salon for the last several years and every time I have Ken do my nails, I leave the salon happier than I was when I came in. Ken is the best! He always does an excellent job. He can recommend the perfect color for you in seconds. My nails always look amazing after he does them. I recommend Ken to anyone going to Classy Nails. I would give 0 stars if i could. the service is horrible, and it's extremely over priced. i got an acrylic fill in and was asking questions about the gems and the lady doing my nails (i don't remember her name) insisted i got 2 gems for free. well i go to pay and my total is $55. now the acrylic fill in i believe was anywhere from $15-$25 which is a normal price for a fill in. I still got charged for the "free gems" she insisted on. It has been about a week and every nail has chipped colors and 2 have fell off. I've never seen such horrible nails and am embarrassed to have them. After this experience, i'm done with nail salons. They have completely ruined the whole thing for me. A complete scam. read more

My no chip only lasted 5 days. Completely unacceptable. It's like it completely just popped right off, didn't even need to tug or pick away at it. I was at the salon Tuesday morning right when they opened for a nail fix, i got mimi & my experience was terrible. She yanked my old acrylic nail off and then used the machine to get off the rest burning the crap out of me . Leaving a huge hunk of acrylic on my nail , then glued the tip on top of the old acrylic, didnt even out my nail at all she filed it down a little bit and then painted it and charged me . Ill never be back thats for sure . read more

Very poor customor service, went for a fill Saturday. He rushed the service and did a crappy job. One nail broke by Monday. Went in on Tuesday by 7pm. Mall doesn't close till 9pm, and they were already done taking customers. I returned yet again today (Wednesday now) , I was the next customer in line so they sat me down to let the other half of my one broken nail "soak off", mind you last time they took off an old nail there noone soaked it, they just took it off with their tools. Half hour later still soaking but taking other walkins without checking on me. Finally get someone to finish what they started on me and she literally slapped eveything on (nail, polish, coat) and had an attitude with me. Took an HOUR if not more to be completely finished with ONE NAIL. I STILL was nice enough to tip her $2 for my ONE nail and she did not thank me! Noone thanked me nor apologised for the poor service or poor job done on my nails to begin with. I've gone to places that offer nail warranties bc they're confident in their work, so I was thrown off when this place was very rude about having to fix mine. Never going back. Cheap product. This place had the worst customer service ever!!!!!! To begin with they don't have someone constantly in the front desk when you arrive. Next you have the nail technicians speaking there own language which is fine if there was no other customers around. It's seem as rude especially if they have a customer in front of them then you hear them laughing and saying who knows what. Any one would assume they're taking about the person at the chair. Now last they stand up and go loopy gagging with their co-workers instead of taking care of the customer that's in their chair. This place is getting more and more horrible by the day. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. I went in on a Sunday to get a no chip Mani and pedi. My pedi wasn't even 20 min and i received no type of massage. I was hoping for better service when getting my Mani but of course I didn't. My no chip mani was looking ugly. I asked the "nail tech" if he could fix it and said no because he would have to start all over. Well the next day I was in the shower and my no chip was peeling. I went back and let them know and they were giving me attitude and dinn't want to fix it. When did "fix" it they just layered more polish on top. Now 5 days later its completely chipping. Do NOT even think about going to this place! They have no sense of cleanliness! Nail files and clippers are used between clients without being sanitized & Nail shavings everywhere! They don't care about your nails only their pockets!! Brought the above to managers attention and he suggested I buy my own supplies next time I come in..news flash "manager!" I will NEVER return to this dirty place ever again!! Lastly, the male tech that did my nails was rude and had the audacity to do a so-called 10 second massage on my hands immediately after he finished filing them so the nail shavings were included in that awful massage..YUCK!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in to get a pedicure and a fill for my acrylics. First off their color selection is basically non existent, I had to ask if they had the color I wanted because it wasn't on display. The room where the pedicures take place looks so unkept! the walls are beyond chipped, the seats look dirty and thats just the beginning ! The nail file that they began to use on my toes was literally white from so much use! following the filing the man began to brush my feet with a brush that looked like its been used for years. The bristles went in every direction ! I understand that they might not use a new brush for every client but this brush clearly had gone around much more than it should've ! very disgusting. previous to starting I was told that callus removal was included in the basic pedicure. long story short I had to pay extra for them to use the scraper ! something that has been included in every basic pedicure I've gotten from any other salon. The painting process was really quick but not in a good way. He was obviously in a rush. In the inside light (their pedi room is dark) the color itself looked nice. But once I got outside you could see how streaky they were. I guess they have assigned shower caddies with all of their materials in them because he took the caddie with the materials he used and put it away without sanitzing anything!!! at this point I was disgusted and didn't want them to do my manicure. I was charged $32 for the worst experience I've ever had! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ! This place is awful! Why does this place only have 2.5 stars? This is the only nail salon in the area I am ever satisfief with. And they are always busy. Pedicures last me roughly one month and I don't do no chip. I went there last week for a no chip manicure and a polish change on my toes and was very disappointed! My toes chipped the very next day and my nails were filed way too short and rounded when I specifically asked for squared shaped! The no chip manicure was done horribly. Polish was outside of my nail beds and with red color it looked terrible. I also had jagged edges on multiple nails that were snagging everything. On top of it all my no chip also chipped on multiple nails before 1 week!! I was very unhappy and would not go back to even have fixed or recommend. read more

I dont have a problem with anyone there but MiMi. Everyone else does exceptional work except her. For starters she has terrible customer service. She rushes the client to pick their color, then we should does the pedicure or manicure she half asses it. One day I was there and she had just finished my full set and usually they take your items to the drying station when their finish but not. She left me and went on her phone as Im struggling to carry my stuff with wet nails. Just disgusting. She needs to be let go because she is the reason this place is getting a bad rep. read more

I was a loyal customer for a year and a half. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday morning, but something came up, so I called to cancel over an hour ahead of time. No one was in yet, so I left a voicemail. When I called later in the week to schedule my appointment, I was confronted by the lady who answered the phone - she asked if I was going to make the appointment, since I did not show up for the last one. I told her I had called and left a voice message, canceling. She told me they don't check their messages, and continued to be rude to me about scheduling an appointment (let's keep in mind they have pushed several of my previous appointments up, one time 2 hours late!). I said it's not my fault they practice poor business (why have voicemail if you're not going to check your messages?), and assured them I would find another salon to go to from now on. I will NOT be returning to this establishment, and you shouldn't go either, if you expect to be treated with respect. read more

I have been going to this place for years. When they renovated it and made it bigger and turned it into more of a spa instead of just nails it went down the drain. The last two times I went have been awful. The first time I just got a mani-pedi the pedi was ok...the mani??? She just painted my nails which chipped literally the NEXT day. I thought that maybe it was my fault, but no it wasn't. Went back and got another mani and pedi the pedi was ok, I've had better they guy flirted with me the whole time. Then I got a no chip manicure and first thing is he dug into my cuticles so much he made TWO of my fingers bleed and then he proceeded to take a paper towel and press very hard into my nails and then take alcohol and squirt on there. Not only that he did a sloppy job on the french manicure. I have had no chip polish several times (not from there) and I got my nails done on 05/01/13 and every nail but one or two have completely chipped away and it hasn't been a full 7 days. Bottom line i would not recommend this place unless you get the guy named Kevin, but since he is good he is always busy. read more

I have come to this place for many years now , and i love it !! I get my nails done and eyebrows done here . My natural nails are sooo short i have to admit.. But they don't complain, until yesterday (06/25) this lady was doing my service . She was complaining like crazy ! Like she hated her job or something like that . She was talking smack about her previous client . When it was time for her to trimmed the nails done she didnt even give me a option of how long i wanted them she just chop chop chop. I told her i wanted them longer but she just didn't care and continue. That was so rude , im paying for the service not her .. After that i had gotten up and wash my nails and once i was going back she already had some other lady in the chair ? She told me to go wait and sit . I was done with this lady !! I was standing by them until she gave me a dirty look and took the nail polish off my hands and told me to sit where you are supposed to dry your nails and she was painting them right there , the color is uneven , she did it in 1.2.3. After that she went back to her chair and talk smack about me !! I'm never going back to that lady and neither should you . Ugh, I knew I should've stayed away from this place after seeing the rating. The only reason I went here was because I didn't want to drive to the normal salon I go to. I went there on a Wednesday night with my mom. I called ahead and was taken in right away. It wasn't busy. I got a no-chip, and had a no-chip already on, they literally wrapped my nails in foil for a minute before they started scraping. Laura"cleaned" my nails in 10 minutes. I kid you not, 10 minutes, she was in such a rush for no reason at all. Then when it came to apply the base, she applied it so fast in between coats that it created air bubbles. When she put the color on my nail it was creating bumps in the polish and I said look there are air bubbles, so she started over again. At this point I'm already annoyed. She then started to apply the base more slowly in between coats and that stopped the air bubbles. She said the air bubbles help make the polish stay on longer. Huh, um ok? I let her finish and it turned out ok, but I will never go back here again. And oh, my mom mentioned that if they want to scrape the dead skin off your feet, they charge an extra $7. What? I pay $25 for a pedicure with the scraping at my normal salon and they use liners in the tub. This place doesn't. Fox Valley Mall must be charging them a boatload in rent in order to charge those outrageous prices. Never again. read more

Ahhhh this place is hit or miss. I love when Ken does my nails. He is fast and does a good job, talks to you etc. The lady at the front desk tends to look dry and annoyed so thats not nice when walking in. Then all the other techs are hit and miss. some are good, some or not. I made an appointment once and my nail guy was late like 20 minutes -_-. And then one time he told me to come back in 30 minutes, I come back in 30 minutes and he grabs someone else anyways, see's me and doesn't even say sorry.... They just want a lot of customers. So I do enjoy kens work but he always irritates me at times. overall the salon is kind of whatever. There are better salons in the area. read more

Horrible horrible experience I been going to this place for 10 years because how convenient it was for me since I work across the street from the mall I have had good n bad experiences with them since good customer service is not their strongest !! But on dec 23 I was treated so badly by the man that was doing my nails just because I refuse to wear a color that I didn't like he disrespected me he cursed at me and when I told the mgr he didn't do anything about it he said I provoked his employee which was not true !! My husband n I went back to ask for a refund because he didn't finish the job and the whole team of employees started yelling and screaming at us !! I left that place crying because I felt threatened by all of them and of course they never said sorry my nails looked horrible n kept my money such unprofessional business!!! About a month ago I went to the mall and decided that since I was already there I would get my nails done at this place, I walked in and no one came over or said anything. Finally a lady asked me what I wanted and I asked if they did the coffin shaped nail she said yes so I wrote down my name and took a seat. I waited for about 20 minutes before anyone came over, once they came over they took me to a table and I said down and waited for about 10 more minutes, then one of the guy workers came or asked me what I wanted again I told him I wanted the coffin shaped nails and you begin to soak my old acrylic nails. I was saying about there for about 30 minutes soaking my hands I mean I've gone them sold before but it's up 30 minute wait, I was getting really annoyed because nobody was coming over but once they did they took off all my acrylic and fixed my natural nails and they came out good. After that a lady told me to go and sit somewhere else and she was going to start doing my coffin shaped nails again putting on the fake nail and then putting on the acrylic, I told her I wanted the coffee shaped nail and she said Okay. After she was all done my nails did not look anything at all like the coffin shaped they looked more like the Almond shaped nails which I was kind of mad while because that's not what I wanted the lady left and I couldn't really say anything so I just walked out the most frustrated thing I was more mad about was that it was basically $45 for what normally I only paid 35 for. I had to go somewhere and get them fixed I will never go back there again ever!!!!! read more

I suggest you be very picky before you get your eyebrows waxed because some of them workers have very nice thick beautiful eyebrows but some of the workers be having ratchet drawn on eyebrows and today I had the worst experience of my life I saw the workers eyebrows that was doing my eyebrows and they were very thin looking like she drew them on with pen because they were that thin and ugly and I was very skeptical and paranoid because I had a bad experience here before where they took off too much off of one of my eyebrows and I was considering if I should go here or not but I decided that was me just a once-in-a-lifetime experience but no she when was just putting on the wax I thought she was putting on too much and I was like nah maybe I am just being too paranoid and when she was done she gave me the mirror and then quickly took it away and when I left and got a good first look at my eyebrows I started sobbing because they are so fucking ratchet half of my eyebrow is gone in the front (second time this happened) and the front of the other eyebrow is gone. I don't know who hired Laura the lady who fucks up your eyebrows but she shouldn't have that job or anything related around eyebrows. Just to be safe do not get your eyebrows done here! I would give this zero starts because this doesn't even deserve one star but that's not an option. read more
