This was an experience. When I tell you that this is a journey and a history lesson and a meal and a drink and a time with your family and our friends all at the same time it is literally.. Leo has a great set up inside the vibes are awesome for starters we knew the moment that we walked up to the building and saw the outside and came directly inside. We were gonna love the place.. the tea and history behind tea is so awesome and it's also pretty awesome to find someone who loves too much to get those history. The mixing of the compliment and contrast of the Tea with the food was super awesome to be able to get through a 2 1/2 hour event and be eating and drinking the whole entire time and not be hungry or full and also learn how healthy it is was really cool for my whole family who went. We did a ladies day with my mother in law and grandmas in law and aunts and it was just a time. We laughed , cried and smiled the whole time. If you want to do something fun with family or friends where you get to learn some new things get some healthy tips and walk into a new adventure to help you on your health journey this is the place for you. The food was immaculate fun treats and foods from around the world & my husband is a chef so it takes a lot to get a chefs kiss approval from me. Leo thank you so much for bringing Classy Hippie Tea to Sacramento and sharing your love for tea with us here so we can now share your love and our love for tea with other people now also!!

A friend and I came for the high tea service and it was phenomenal! The cafe is super cute with a fun vibe. The food and tea pairing was amazing and mixed with Leo's story telling and weaving of history, tea knowledge and fun facts was perfect. My favorite teas were the sun-kissed iced tea, the tulsi ginger and the iced passion matcha. Favorite food was the melon with black lava salt and the clam chowder with collards served with a collard greens filled paratha. Soo delicious! Don't hesitate, go get your tickets for high tea at Classy Hippie! What a unique and awesome experience here in Sac!

Came by after a few years and was pleasantly surprised to learn the coffee is outstanding and they have a delicious clam chowder. Will return. Thanks!

Would give 6 stars if I could. Never had a tea--or any kind of dining--experience like this. Leo's shop is stocked with tea, information, and accoutrements, all neatly and inviting, and the lighting from the windows looking out onto the Broadway and the bright decor make for a very calm and comfortable environment. Leo encouraged us to look around while he made the final preparations for the beginning of our high tea service. This was a VERY thoughtful service, starting off with a refreshing slightly carbonated sweet tea accompanied with sea salted cantaloupe. I was surprised at how well those two things went together--the sweetness in both somehow echoed each other despite having nothing else really in common. That's when I realized that this was a high tea that was more about the tea itself rather than the pastries and sandwiches you might usually get at a high tea. With each of the next courses, we were stunned at how well the teas and the really exceptionally prepared delicious food complemented each other. Each of the courses was excellent (themed to a different region of the world) and the culmination for us was when Leo paired a subtle jerk chicken with a cinnamon black tea. With a sip of tea following a bite of chicken, the flavors just wove together perfectly. In addition to the great food and tea (which we didn't realize you could pair so thoughtfully with food just like wine), the real star of the service was Leo himself: warm, friendly, knowledgeable, an all-around excellent host. We can't wait to return!

My friend and I went for their High Tea service and it was a fun experience learning about tea and food pairings that go well with the different teas! It seems they set up the tables and chairs for High Tea. The shop is colorful and vibrant, there's something to see in every nook & cranny! There were 5 courses with 5 different teas, from herbal to green to black teas. I loved how Leo, the owner, explained the process of making tea, where each tea came from, and how to savor the tea, much like wine tasting! We ate appetizers, salad, salmon, and dessert to go with it all. Leo is very knowledgeable about teas, they make all the teas they sell, by the ounce. Highly recommend for a unique tea experience!

A unique tea tasting experience for the High Tea reservation. We had 5 tastings of tea and small plates, which were all delightful. I especially enjoyed the dolmas and Mediterranean stuffed bread. Our host and owner of the shop was knowledgeable and friendly. Great local place! Side note: there was so AC so we were a bit hot even with fans but not sure if it was out or this is usual.

Super cute coffee and tea spot! Ordered a hot mocha & blueberry muffin - so good & great presentation! They have a self-serve tea station where you can create your personalized tea blend. Almost bought some just to go through the experience! Awesome customer service as well - we will definitely be back!

Where are you from and where would you wish to go map? Such a great touch.

Great service, the ambiance is nice and peaceful, the smell when you walk in already allows you to be calm in your ways. The food was delicious and paired well with the experience. I had the breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll, the Ms.'s had the same sandwich but with a blueberry muffin. Great place and will be back for lunch !!

my sister and i took my mom here as a surprise for her birthday and genuinely, i do not think we could have had a better experience! it was just us for the tasting and we had such a wonderful time! immediately walking in, the vibes and ambience were excellent. the decor and atmosphere is very cool and you instantly get hit with the smell of delicious tea as soon as you walk in! the service was absolutely amazing, and we learned so much about tea and history in such an immersive, intentional way. the food was delightful and paired/contrasted so beautifully with the delicious food courses. we will absolutely be back and i seriously can't recommend this place enough! the high tea was incredible and i can only assume everything else they host/create/sell is wonderful too. thank you for the amazing experience!

This spot always serves up good vibes and tasty treats...Leo never disappoints! The new matcha drinks are great. I love a good Chai so I tried the Chai Spice Matcha. Next time I'm going with the Mexican Hot Chocolate Matcha. It was just what I needed on a hot Sacramento summer day!

First visit today, won't be the last. Amazing place. A bright, beautiful, peaceful vibe. Had a drink called the Classy Horchata Latte with oat milk. Can't remember what my friends had but we were all really really satisfied and happy with our drinks. They have these cool tall bamboo glasses the drinks were served in. The owner was welcoming and helpful as we navigated the drink menu and the incredible teas we went home with. Will be back to try the high tea, which are on Saturdays from 1-3, I believe. Didn't try food today but the display cases had a great spread of options.

There's different Filipino/Hawaiian dishes like a katsu, loco moco, and longanisa. They had baked goodies like ube muffins and pandan cookies. For drinks they were plenty of coffees, lattes, and teas. It was pretty busy so it took a while for our food to come out. It wasn't the best we had, but all the food was enough to satisfy our cravings. It was definitely a modern take on things that was enjoyable.

Any time we visit Sac, it is one of our go-to spots! They do an excellent job of sourcing their coffee beans along with roasting them. They've gotten exceptionally good at standardizing their drinks across the board as well. We have also tried many of their drinks outside of what we ordered today, including the 1987, 18 to the Brain, Thai Coffee, and Mexican Mocha. They have a food menu as well, which ranges from rice bowls to breakfast sandwiches. It's a great place to go to meet with friends, studying, or working on a project. They also have a good amount of seating inside, but it does fill up quickly! They do have WiFi (and outlets) and one single bathroom. Given we have been coming here for years, it is a must whenever you're in the Arden area!

Looking forward to catching up with a friend, I found it ironic that she suggested Chloe Ca Phe & Roastery - considering that it was at the top of my Yelp bookmarks. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a beautiful purple right-hand drive Nissan Skyline! I honestly don't know if this happened by chance or if my friend chose this particular coffee shop due to my love for cars. After I was done gawking at the Skyline, I approached the front counter where a friendly employee greeted me ready to take my order. Since the fall season was near (its already fall at the time that I'm drafting this review), I decided to go with the Sea Salt Latte - which was an option on the fall menu. Less than five minutes later our orders were ready. I found it very personable that the employee made pleasant eye contact and said "enjoy your coffee Raheem" as he handed it to me. While I sipped on my delicious latte and caught up with my friend, the nostalgic sounds of 90's and early 2000's R&B played in the background. Chloe Ca Phe & Roastery is my jam...I look forward to making a return visit in the very near future!

The chilli wonton soup was genuinely good, probably the standout for me. I'd happily go back for that. The cinnamon rolls were alright. I tried the Biscoff Crunch, Dubai Pistachio with Strawberry, Cookies & Cream, and Banana Pudding flavours. They looked the part and were decent enough, but nothing that had me thinking, "Bloody hell, I need another one of these." The waffles, unfortunately, were a different story. They weren't cooked properly through the middle, chewy and gooey rather than crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The Biscoff flavour was also barely noticeable. The drinks are very much geared towards the social-media crowd: lots of milk, lots of toppings, lots of visual appeal. If you enjoy taking a photo of your drink before taking a sip, you'll probably have a field day. And then there's the price. For what you're actually getting, it feels rather steep. The food is, at best, mediocre in several areas, yet the prices seem to suggest these ingredients were mined personally by King Charles. Ironically, I actually would have gone back for the chilli wontons, banana pudding and Biscoff pudding. But the experience around their influencer/collaboration side left a rather sour taste. If you're a collaborator or influencer, BE WARNED! No real communication or courtesy message. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but if you're going to deal with people, a simple response goes a long way. But then again, they perhaps cherry-pick whom to interact with based on their social media activity. And finally, watching someone at the counter struggle with some basic maths while taking an order was certainly an experience. I'm all for supporting people, but perhaps the calculator deserves a little more screen time than the Instagram account. Overall: some genuinely good items buried underneath a lot of hype, presentation and rather ambitious pricing. I'd happily return for a couple of the things I enjoyed, but I wouldn't be rushing back for the overall experience. Food: 3/10 Value: 2/10 Presentation: 8/10 Social-media appeal: 10/10 Would I return? For the chilli wontons and a couple of puddings, yes. For the rest... probably not.
