Dessert with a digestif-style almond rooibos

Would give 6 stars if I could. Never had a tea--or any kind of dining--experience like this. Leo's shop is stocked with tea, information, and accoutrements, all neatly and inviting, and the lighting from the windows looking out onto the Broadway and the bright decor make for a very calm and comfortable environment. Leo encouraged us to look around while he made the final preparations for the beginning of our high tea service. This was a VERY thoughtful service, starting off with a refreshing slightly carbonated sweet tea accompanied with sea salted cantaloupe. I was surprised at how well those two things went together--the sweetness in both somehow echoed each other despite having nothing else really in common. That's when I realized that this was a high tea that was more about the tea itself rather than the pastries and sandwiches you might usually get at a high tea. With each of the next courses, we were stunned at how well the teas and the really exceptionally prepared delicious food complemented each other. Each of the courses was excellent (themed to a different region of the world) and the culmination for us was when Leo paired a subtle jerk chicken with a cinnamon black tea. With a sip of tea following a bite of chicken, the flavors just wove together perfectly. In addition to the great food and tea (which we didn't realize you could pair so thoughtfully with food just like wine), the real star of the service was Leo himself: warm, friendly, knowledgeable, an all-around excellent host. We can't wait to return!

My friend and I went for their High Tea service and it was a fun experience learning about tea and food pairings that go well with the different teas! It seems they set up the tables and chairs for High Tea. The shop is colorful and vibrant, there's something to see in every nook & cranny! There were 5 courses with 5 different teas, from herbal to green to black teas. I loved how Leo, the owner, explained the process of making tea, where each tea came from, and how to savor the tea, much like wine tasting! We ate appetizers, salad, salmon, and dessert to go with it all. Leo is very knowledgeable about teas, they make all the teas they sell, by the ounce. Highly recommend for a unique tea experience!

A unique tea tasting experience for the High Tea reservation. We had 5 tastings of tea and small plates, which were all delightful. I especially enjoyed the dolmas and Mediterranean stuffed bread. Our host and owner of the shop was knowledgeable and friendly. Great local place! Side note: there was so AC so we were a bit hot even with fans but not sure if it was out or this is usual.

Where are you from and where would you wish to go map? Such a great touch.

First visit today, won't be the last. Amazing place. A bright, beautiful, peaceful vibe. Had a drink called the Classy Horchata Latte with oat milk. Can't remember what my friends had but we were all really really satisfied and happy with our drinks. They have these cool tall bamboo glasses the drinks were served in. The owner was welcoming and helpful as we navigated the drink menu and the incredible teas we went home with. Will be back to try the high tea, which are on Saturdays from 1-3, I believe. Didn't try food today but the display cases had a great spread of options.

This spot always serves up good vibes and tasty treats...Leo never disappoints! The new matcha drinks are great. I love a good Chai so I tried the Chai Spice Matcha. Next time I'm going with the Mexican Hot Chocolate Matcha. It was just what I needed on a hot Sacramento summer day!

Made to order breakfast sandwich on croissant with pickled cabbage salad and coffee was really good. Nice ambiance and music. There are also high quality loose leaf teas for purchase.

Classy Hippie Tea is a whole vibe! I love the education you get when you inquire about the offerings. I will be incorporating their herbal and green teas into my healing journey. Also learned that this spot is not just about selling tea but about empowering people to cultivate a lifestyle of well-being. I highly recommend visiting, sipping some tea, and checking out the many ways they engage the community in the art and wellness of tea.

This is my first time at this place. Ambiance: you can't get better when the owner introduced himself and is genuinely happy you are there. The music is perfect it is NOT to loud. I would just like it a bit cooler in the space. A little more a/c. Service: Everyone was kind. I love the mellow vibe. The barista was so kind and I loved it. Food: I had the Philly steak. It was great. It was the perfect size and the onions and pepper were great. I would like some cheese on it. My iced coffee was amazing. I will be back and with people!

Came here for the tea pairing on a first visit to Sacramento. I think calling it "high tea" doesn't give it enough credit. This is not a stop for a light bite, loads of pastries, and...by the way, tea. This puts a spotlight on tea that uniquely highlights how tea and food can enhance and complement each other. I'm a long-time fan of tea, and have tried many different kinds, but this experience opened my eyes to new opportunities for tea as not just a morning and evening beverage, but something that can legitimately enhance a meal. The super tender chicken and tea pairing is not one I'd ever think of, but the subtle reflection of spices in each, made them better together than apart. Also, the loose leaf tea selection on site is amazing. I've never been a big fan of rooibos, but the Vanilla Horchata blend with the delicate almond notes is now one of my favorites! Highly recommend, and many thanks to Leo for the expert curation!

A cute outside patio and plenty of room to sit inside. I got the Pink Chai and my friend and i took our drinks to a park down the street which really set the scene: spring day in the park with a friend and a great beverage. The drink was very hot, which ended up being perfect because I had to enjoy it slowly. The flavor profile was subtle and well balanced, not overpowering or too sweet. I'm a big fan of cardamom and pistachio, so getting both in one drink felt like a win, and they worked beautifully together. The pistachio added a nice, nutty finish. I don't distinctly remember tasting the fennel, but it may have been part of what made the overall flavor feel so smooth. I guess I'll just have to come back and order it again. All in all, Qisa was a treat. Im planning on moving in a few months and started looking at apartment listings near by that would allow me to come to Qisa more often. Highly recommend!
