Eli Dumaguit was one of two technicians who came out today, and he educated me on way more than just scheduled maintenance. I now know the importance of having your air ducts and condenser coils cleaned. If dust is collecting on your air supply vent, you don't know what dead skin cells and other particles are blowing back into your room. For example, my place was built in 1974, and two diff owners lived here and changed hands before I became the homeowner in 2014. I'm looking at all this dust collecting on the air supply vent and wondering if the air ducts have ever been cleaned. That means I could have dead butt cells from 1974 blowing all into my rooms. But I wouldn't have known that if Eli didn't bring attention to it. Do you understand how disgusting that sounds? All that dust collecting on top of your books, tables and tapestries could contain dead skin butt cells. Go clean your air ducts everyone. Long story long, I made an appointment with Eli to take care of the dead butt cells circa 1974. And if your AC unit is installed on your roof like mine, you might have bird feathers blocking your condenser coils. Condenser coils basically release heat back into the open air and based on what Eli told me, failure to release heat efficiently leads to future problems and a shorter AC life span. Eli even compared pictures of my coils with my neighbor's coils. My neighbor's coils were so bad it looked like a black and white flamingo. But I don't like my neighbor, so I don't really care. My revenge is I'm not gonna tell him about 702 plumbAIR. Go call Bubba's Discount HVAC & BBQ. Shout out to Tyler Dale too, the second technician who came out that same morning to flush my water heater. He actually remembered me and my residence. His services were used during a past water overflow issue. He educated me on upgrades and improvements since mine is approaching its 10 year life expectancy. I've been living with this really "not good" water. The older you get, the things you neglected almost becomes 1st priority. So we talked about water softeners, reverse osmosis, and conditioners to help address minerals and sediment in the water, which can also affect the health of your hair and scalp in the shower. Women will instantly notice this one. But these upgrades will have to wait because I can't have too much going on at once. I gotta focus on the AC unit first, then I'll focus on the water heater. But it's good knowing you have a company that's consistent with valuable service and technicians who take the time to educate you and look out for you. Keep in mind, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the AC prior to this visit. The technician arrived and promptly started taking things apart only to tell me that the fan motor and dual-run capacitor were failing. Other than that, he essentially just hosed down the bottom of the AC unit, which honestly is something I could have done myself, and then put together an estimate for repairs that ended up costing over $2,700 before leaving. I was under the impression that an AC tune-up included basic cleaning and maintenance, including checking or cleaning the air filters and making sure the system was operating properly. Instead, the entire visit felt like it was focused on finding repairs to sell me rather than actually performing a tune-up. I ultimately declined the $2,700+ repair, and guess what? The AC is still working perfectly fine today. Based on my experience, it was very apparent that the technician was primarily focused on selling me a repair rather than providing the tune-up service I had requested. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this company.

He opened multiple faucets and thoroughly tested the system to make sure the pressure remained stable throughout the house. He brought it down to approximately 64 PSI, explained how I could periodically check and adjust it myself, and offered to return and make things right if we experienced any problems. He was responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and reasonably priced. It felt like he genuinely cared about doing the job correctly and making sure I understood everything before he left. The installers said "We have an insulation division." I still got three quotes before going back to Super Service. They were right-priced, and I already had piece of mind for their quality of service, so we hired them to do the insulation. The crew of 2 arrived at 9:30, and by noon they were vacuuming the small debris on the floor and prepping to leave. They covered the carpets with cling plastic, were very clean and fast. The attic is now filled with new cellulose insulation, and we look forward to more efficient heating/cooling in this near 40 year-old home.

He took photos of everything he serviced, offered to have me tag along so I can understand the processes he was completing & thoroughly answered any/every question I had. His findings were similar to the other two companies I received two quotes from... a new a/c system is need (oy...). The difference was, he was very thorough in explaining why he felt the replacement was needed & showed concrete facts of why. Even emailed me a copy of his photos/videos and notes so I could show my husband when he got home. Jamal completed his professional service, made sure all my questions were answered and scheduled for me to talk to a manager abut options and pricing. I was hesitant to move forward, but the replacement was inevitable. I could have rode it out until the unit was on its last string, but this is Vegas. I wanted to be preventative. He took before & after photos/videos that I got emailed a copy of for my records. He made sure the team prior was thorough with the initial tune-up, inspection and install. He even took a photo of the filter recommendation sticker on the unit while he was in the attic to make sure I had all the info I needed.
