Chicken Counfry Fried Steak and Eggs Breakfast

YES, this is a great place that everyone needs to give a try. It's a local chef-owned establishment with great food, decent service, overall what you would expect. It does get a little loud but that's because it's hopping! We have been here twice and both times have been good. The triple stack French toast was not as good as I had hoped but I can see why it's a favorite. Fortunately the food is overall very good. Probably the only negative, on our first visit, I asked if they had or could do an iced coffee. It was middle of summer and like 9:00 in the morning. The waitress said no, we can't do that, we only have hot coffee. I wasn't thinking fast enough to just order coffee and ask for a glass of ice, so I went with water.

I met up with a college friend and her friend visiting from Vancouver to see the Savannah Bananas and stop by the Chihuly Garden and Glass. We decided to check out Classic Eats in Burien for breakfast (9/20/25). I had stopped by a nearby cookie shop, bookstore, and pizza site, but this was a first visit to Classic Eats. We met up right at their 9am opening. Love the interior decor. Disco balls galore and the most animated waitstaff. I wanted just about everything on the menu, but decided to try their breakfast burrito. It was generous, flavor packed, and nicely plated. They seemed to enjoy their breakfast choices and the coffee. It was nice to catch up and not feel rushed after spending 90 minutes onsite. As we were settling our bills, by sheer coincidence another Yelp Elite and her daughter were seated diagonal from us. Great overall first impression, definitely merits a return visit or two or three...yes, definitely recommended!

One of my new fav spots for breakfast! Came here before the big superbowl game and left feeling like Seattle had already one the superbowl. We walked in and the hostess was there and some guy in the kitchen said the hostess would be right back. Turns out he was the owner! Nice guy! We were seated immediately. This restaurant is a Creole inspired and it was delicious. I was torn between the shrimp and grits or the jambalaya. The waitress said everyone comes here for the jambalaya. Sold! I was licking the plate clean! Delicious. It has shrimp, sausage and chicken over cheesy grits. Heavenly. We also ordered the traditional breakfast. I can't wait go back and try more. I was eyeing the chicken and waffles hot honey chicken as well! See you again Tony!

Came here without high expectations but ended up loving it! This place is your classic neighborhood diner-bar combo that serves breakfast and brunch. Parking was easy -- there's a lot in the back. The servers were super friendly and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. I got excited when I saw grits on the menu before coming. We ordered the Jambalaya Grits and Chicken & Waffles. Finding a spot in the West Coast that actually does grits well is rare, but they nailed it here -- truly delicious! As for the Chicken & Waffles, I was a bit surprised that the chicken came as wings, but they were crispy, sweet, and really tasty. The waffle was a little dense, but still good. And the mimosa double was only $8 (single for $4)! A surprisingly great brunch -- everything hit the spot. I'll definitely be back!

My Family I reserved the private seating area for the finale of My Godmother's Surprise 70TH Birthday weekend. Food~it's a few items I had in mind the chicken and Belgian Waffles, the Eggs Benedict combo, and the French Toast combo. I decided on the French Toast because a few family members were raving about it. But, I was disappointed when it arrived it was lukewarm w/ a few pieces of toast were burnt, eggs were fried hard (ask for over medium), and, the bacon was undercooked. I had viewed several photos and reviews before I made my final choice but, you always should go with your first choice. I did send the bacon but, to be cooked longer but, I ate the rest of my food as is. I normally wouldn't do that but, we were in a large party and, I was extremely hungry before we even arrived. A few other family members experience the same but, requested it to be prepared again. Service~Our waiter was Adam he was super nice and, extremely helpful by making sure everyone was accommodated. I appreciate Adam and, the cooking staff trying to make sure everyone order came out together. My friends and I normally would tell our waiter/waitress to bring out as soon as it gets plated. Ambiance~It's a well established, clean, and pleasant restaurant. Parking can be very hard to find because of other businesses in that area. I really enjoyed the vibes and, I would highly recommend giving this eatery at try. I cannot wait to come again very soon because, it's a town staple and, I know they have amazing food.

Summary: Good food, great service, casual dining. I'll definitely come back again. Food: Everything we ordered was great. Two had to do with chicken (chicken waffles and half chicken dish) which was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside but still juicy when you bite into it. Seasoned well. Waffles were not eggy but still moist. Fries were regular fries yet crispy and salted just enough. Sandwich was good as well, bread was toasted but bottom part was a bit soggy. You can taste everything, no ingredient overpowering other ingredients. Service: Great. Attentive. Polite. Space: Huge space. they tables by the bar as well as outside tables. Good for huge groups. Bathroom: Clean Parking: Plenty, both street parking and designated parking on the side shared with other establishments.

Wednesday June 25th, 2025 Lunchtime- 12:00-1:00 Food was Amazing! The Pastrami Sandwich was perfectly hot and delicious! Everything was perfect! Had an Arnold Palmer and it was good. It got busy by the time we left. You can park around the corner behind the Real Estate office if there's no parking on the street. I know it gets busy on weekends, they have a large dining area in the back and also a private room for parties. Cheers!

This is our second time coming here and today is extra special because we celebrated my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary. If you are looking for a wide variety of food, great flavors and friendly, attentive staff, this is the place to go. Amazing food and beautiful cozy place to bring family and friends. Tony Hayes, the owner was there to meet, greet, smile and attend to customers. Excellent service! Worth a visit and you always want to come back again and again!

Came in first thing in the morning and grabbed a seat at the bar. The decor was stylish and inviting--definitely a nice way to start the day. We ordered Bloody Marys, which were tasty, but the bacon garnish seemed undercooked. On the flip side, the mimosa was delicious. For food, we had the steak and eggs. The steak had great flavor, but we asked for medium rare and it leaned more toward rare. The eggs, however, were fluffy and cooked just right. We also tried the biscuits with chicken strips--the strips were thin, slightly crispy, and flavorful. The biscuits were a bit on the dry side, but the side of gravy helped pull it all together. The hash browns were a standout--crispy and well-seasoned.

My Cousin and I were out today visiting my Aunt and we decided to grab some dinner. She told me about Classic Eats in Butien, Wa, and how it is a Southern Style Restaurant and since I lived in Batonn Rouge for some years I said Yes. Upon arrival we decided to sit in the Bar area. I told my cousin I was going to take a few pictures and plus I had to use the restroom. The Restroom was very clean and smelled nice. But the time I returned to out table she ordered some drinks, Prickly Pear Martinis. It took the waitress awhile to bring our menus but we weren't in a rush. My cousin ordered the Shrimp and Grits and I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. My cousins words exactly: I had a ton of Chicken and Sausage and 2 Shrimp, spoke to the waitress who said it's so portioned out,I explained to the waitress that it could not have been portioned out evenly when I have all this other meat but only 2 Shrimp. I was so disappointed and ended up having to buy extra shrimp. The Owner walked up and heard me explaining to the waitress and he chimed in stating he puts 2oz of Shrimp and 3oz of Chicken and Sausage, trying to debate. I told him I am just the Customer saying how I feel about his Dish. He offered us Free Dessert for the inconvenience but to be Honest he should've just said he would allow the extra Shrimp at no cost. He also stated it's all about Business. Needles to say my cousin was not too Happy but the Food itself was Tasty. The Martini was way too sweet. The ambience was inviting.

I'm writing this while still sitting in our booth because it's urgent that people know about this place!!! We were able to get a seat immediately. Our server was attentive and friendly. I had a prickly pear $4 mimosa that was so refreshing. However... the real star of our visit was the biscuis with creole chicken strips!! I got the biscuits and gravy, which were 5/5 for being delicious. But hot damn- my fiancé's order of biscuits with creole Chicken strips was a 10/5!!!! I kept sneaking bites of him and abolsutely had some FoMo! The classic biscuits and gravy were very homey and had amazing familiar flavor where as his was so unique and packed a punch all over my taste buds. read more

I've been craving for some chicken and waffles for weeks and finally I had a chance to try it at this Classic Eats Restaurant located in downtown Burien. The portion was huge for 18.99$ There were 4 piece of waffles and 5 chicken wings(3 drumsticks and 2 wings) In the picture is the Red Sangria. So delicious and very refresh. read more

Felt like some food so went and checked this place out. They have inside and outside seating. Walked in and the waitress said there was a 5 minute wait and we looked around and didn't understand why there was a wait. The place wasn't packed and we saw 3 booths open. We'll we ended up waiting closer to 10-15 minutes. Food wise I bought the chicken and waffles and it was descent. The waffles were a tad over cooked. I thought the food would be better from the recommendation I got for the place. I'd swing by and eat here again. read more

Food was good service was bad. We did have a young kid as a waiter so kinda saw it coming. He was dancing in the kitchen with another employee while I was trying to call him for water. He did t really check up on us until right before we finished and asked for the check. The food was really good though which makes up for the crappy service. read more

Like this place a lot, especially for a weekend brunch. The scrambles and omelettes are great and don't miss having a Bloody Mary or Mimosa if that is your jam. For those who venture here for dinner their bar and wine selection are impressive. Service is attentive and friendly too. The Burien restaurant scene has come a long way in the last decade and Classic Eats is one of the many reasons why. read more

Came back and had the Prime Dip. When it came, the cup of Au Jus was only half full, It's a dip, you have to know that won't fly. After half the sandwich was gone, so was the dip. I requested a new cup of Au Jus. This time I got a full cup of Au Jus and noticed that I was charged for it. Really, broth should be free, especially when you shorted the original portion. Again, the food here, when hot and fresh is amazing, but this last visit was not nearly as impressive as my original trip. Charge a fair price for a meal, but don't nickel or dime people. I'll give the business he benefit of the doubt on this experience, but another weak outing will drop my review to 3 stars. read more

My son decided to gather for his Jordan year born day. Tuesday evening was no rush. Directed to our table we met our waiter. He was pleasant. We ran off our orders. I am so conflicted about leaving this review. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious however the gnats were ridiculous. My girlfriends and I were swatting gnats during the entire meal. They have to get an exterminator in to stop the problem. read more

Parking: there isn't a parking lot, but there is plenty of free street parking nearby Service: My friend and I came at 11am on a Sunday and were seated immediately. They were busy, but our server was very nice. By time we left around noon, there was a pretty long line. We were walking around after and noticed a lot of places in downtown Burien were closed on Sundays and the church service across the street got out at noon, so 11-11:30am might be the sweet spot for Sunday brunch. Food: There was a lot on the breakfast menu that sounded good! I got the waffle combo and subbed breakfast potatoes instead of meat. The potatoes came with cheese and green onions and were my favorite part of the dish. My friend got the chicken and waffles and she raved about the chicken! We both agreed the waffles were just okay. Large portion sizes were nice so I took half of mine home! read more

Quality food, great taste. There are not any dishes that myself, my friends or family have ever ordered that wasn't amazing. Like really good, not just okay. Classic eats has great food. Service isn't anything to speak about. Brunch on weekends is fabulous 8am-2pm otherwise weekdays they don't open until 11am for lunch. Try it out. Local gem! read more

We were pleasantly surprised with every single dish! Country fried steak is a must. It's a tad too heavily seasoned but goes well with the mashed potatoes. The Philly cheese steak sandwich is perfect with a baguette-style bread and crispy fries. This is the perfect spot to hit up after you land in Seattle at the airport... Only a short drive away. read more

On a cold,sunny Saturday morning my little one and I met a dear friend in Burien and we wanted Brunch. Our initial choice was packed and the wait for it was an hour and a half. I'm so glad it was because I'd never experience THE BRUNCH at Classic Eats. I didn't even know it was available. The food! I ordered the chicken and waffles. The crispiness of the chicken(seasoned to perfection) was astounding whilst the meat inside remained tender and juicy. The waffles had some weight to them a much heavier dough a cake-like consistency(paired with syrup) it's a winner. My little got a short stack and a side of sausage that he absolutely obliterated. Our friend chose the original Breakfast with a side of cheese grits and she wouldn't stop about how creamy and delicious they were. The drinks. We ordered 2 of the double mimosas each ($8 apiece). The prickly pear was divine and I cannot remember what the other flavor is for the life of me but I know the syrup turned the champagne a light pink. Delectable! The woman that was our server was attentive and giving. Handling no less than 3 fully loaded tables as well as a back room and she still took the time to give her opinion and suggestions. Thank you so much. The feel of this restaurant is a place you can relax., breathe easy and enjoy good eats. You can not go wrong with this menu or the ambience. A salute is in order for the care and camaraderie of this team. read more

Excellent brunch food. The Biscuits & Creole Chicken Strips were perfectly cooked and delicious. The biscuits were soft and moist, chicken was juicy and crispy, and hash browns were thoroughly crisp. Our table also got the Triple Stack French Toast and Country Fried Steak. IT. WAS. ALL. GOOD. Service was quick, especially considering how packed it was so prime brunch time. Terrible service. Our server forgot about our table 3 times. He said he would get us a spoon and never did. He forgot to bring the drink we ordered. And at the end he forgot to put in our order after 20 minutes of wait. We honestly thought this happened on purpose. We were excited to try something new especially being from out of town. read more

Food was okay. Not as great as the reviews described. Only offer brunch on weekends. 11am on weekdays is lunch. You can order chicken and waffles, chicken fried steak and one other thing during this time as they are on the all day menus. Chicken and waffles was strange. It was wings. Not chicken breasts or larger pieces of bone in chicken. Breaded party wings. The waffles were a little soft but Belgian style. Could have had more spices or seasoning in them. Food takes a while to come out. Maybe 30 min or so. Bloody Mary was decent. Not strong and watered down quickly. Has nice open air windows though. Heard brunch on weekends was good but probably wouldn't return. read more

Definitely love this place!! I put this on my bookmarks mostly for my parental unit. Very few vegetarian items, but they have a bunch of things he'd like so I put it in my ever growing bookmarks pile. Finally went here last weekend after enjoying low tide and wow! Very clean establishment and the bar area had a great atmosphere! Our sever, Rumi, definitely made the experience!! Very personable and knowledgeable about the products - I would be ecstatic to have him as a sever again anytime any day! He asked if either one of us were vegetarian and said he had a surprise. Said surprise was a grilled Portobello with asparagus and most certainly homemade coleslaw. Yum!! Not only was it really, really good, it was the first time my dad has had Portobello, so I'm happy that he got to experience that! I opted for the Portobello pasta salad and I'm glad I did! Not only was it really, really good, there was enough left over for my very nice lunch the next day. My dad got the chili and said he'd go back, so we'll count that as a win. Definitely recommend - awesome food, awesome service, awesome mixed drinks - you can't lose at Classic Eats!! read more

Solid food all around and great service for such a busy place! Had the Salmon Eggs Benedict and the salmon was perfectly cooked. So many people cook the life out of salmon, not here. Great flavor and just the right amount of spice. Can't wait to try something else. read more

Food is American classic. Attentive wait staff and fun atmosphere. Cool looking bar area that during the summer can open up the big windows for fresh air and I big Caribbean fan rotates in the ceiling. read more

My husband and I love this spot and used to frequent for lunch here often, but moved about an hour away a year ago. Today we decided to meet up with some friends for brunch and chose Classic Eats since we don't get to come here often anymore. I had the shrimp and grits, husband had chicken and waffles, friends had eggs Benedict, and another had chicken and waffles. All of it was SO flavorful. I truly can't say enough about how yummy the shrimp and grits were, and man my husband's chicken and waffle was crispy and moist as can be. Definitely recommend breakfast here! Worth the wait if they're busy. read more

This place isn't terrible, it's a pretty cheap and cute breakfast/brunch joint. The serving sizes are really great, even had some to eat later. We met friends who were in town for brunch. Everyone loved their food & the service was amazing. The menu provided something for every taste. We had the Chicken and Waffles, Eggs Benedict and Blackened Chicken Pasta. The Strawberry Lemonade and Cranberry Mimosa we're both yummy! The staff was amazing. Not only did our waitress continuously check on us but so did the management. I highly recommend! read more

Sub-par at best. Classic Eats is the old Mark, and is honestly, kind of missing the mark. The food was bland, really basic and a bit over priced. The service shined at one moment, when a child spilled a glass and they were prompt in helping clean up and keeping everyone calm. Other than that, I waited a lot for a refill of my own drink. This is a good place to take a date, if they didn't know any better, and you couldn't come up with any better ideas. I would go there again if I was invited, but I would not go there again on my decision. read more
