This salon did an amazing job not only with my hair but also with their scheduling. Having really long hair it usually takes a while to do. The girls at Tranquility did a wonderful job and got my highlights all the way down to my head (which many stylists frustratingly fail to do). The price was very reasonable and I was overall very impressed! I will be back here again. Blanca did an amazing job with my hair today!

*****Gorgeous salon***** .. You can definitely tell that…read more The owner/s had a vision and they executed it marvelously. From the waiting areas all the way to the different suites, everything was classy, organized and well thought through. This was my first time at this location, but not my first experience with the hair dresser Avonti. For she had been my regular hair stylist at another location a few years back. She's extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell that she takes pride in what she does and she does it well. A lot of hairdressers are about the money, So they will literally allow you to do things and choose services that aren't good for your hair in the long run, but not my girl Avonti . Initially, my appointment was for a double coloring process and traditional sew in weave. When I got there , I learned that because my hair was already overly processed and that what I was asking to have done consist of me bleaching my hair and it was an unhealthy decision. I insisted and kept asking her to just do it , and that I knew and understood that my hair was already damaged from the perms, constantly wearing braids , And heat damage. I was so persistent and I even stated that I was Willing to deal with the consequences later of my hair breaking off , because I had a vision and I wanted to see it . She refused, and explained that she cares about her clients and Their hair journeys, and that her name and reputation would be on the line. For she knew that what I was asking for would eventually end badly . So much respect is given to her, because so many people are out to make the next buck that they won't educate you and or decline your purchase. She cut my ends to a healthy and even length, washed it and then gave me a traditional sew in . I was a little skeptical on how the style would look with having to skip certain steps . I wanted blond roots to blend in with my blond extensions. Having to Skip the dying and bleaching process I ended up with my original black roots on top of my blond extensions. It wasn't my vision per say , but I still end up feeling and looking pretty after.

She was very kind when I somehow missed my appointment time. She wasn't willing to encroach on the following client's time (which impressed me), but very graciously worked me in during development times. I've been pleased with the initial cut & style as well as suggestions she gave me. The cut was obviously done right based on how easily I was able to reproduce the style at home. Rachel gets my highest recommendation & I'm looking forward to going back. I found her to be a very pleasant person, both helpful & kind. The salon is neat & clean. If you are a Texas Conservative, be aware that your rights will be trampled on and the reason I found a better salon. Don't like like having things done to my hair that I didn't ask for. This was done during a routine trim without my knowledge nor my consent. Be advised. There are much better salons out there, believe me. By the way, this salon has changed hands.it is NOT owned by the same person (Michelle) who got all the rave reviews. New owner must have worked there as she is pictured in the group shot which is really false. Not many customers at all. Maybe 2 besides myself when I've been there is what I've experienced which is not a very good thing.

Having recently relocated to Texas after living in California for 43 years, I searched long and…read morehard for a talented hairstylist specializing in short hair cuts. I had worn my hair long since childhood until a few years ago when I found a short pixie cut more manageable for my busy schedule. My diligent online search led me to B. Lauren Salon and its owner, Nikki Binnion. To my surprise, I found what I was seeking and much more. The website introduction was beautifully designed and user-friendly and I could see immediately that someone had put a tremendous amount of thought into its layout. Then, upon meeting Nikki, my immediate sense of her was that she was professional and knowledgeable and skilled in her craft. She had obviously put a lot of thought into her clients' needs and was making every effort to provide personal one-on-one services. Most hair salons serving exclusively Black clientele have earned reputations of extended waits and overbooking delays. Such is not the case with B. Lauren Salon. The service is personal and highly professional. From the moment she started servicing my hair, I could tell that Nikki has earned all the accolades posted about her. She began by asking pertinent questions about my previous hair care routine and making helpful recommendations. The time under her care was personal and individualized and we were in the salon alone. The finished product was even more satisfactory than I had expected and more than I actually hoped for. I am truly happy to have found her and wholeheartedly sing the well-deserved praises of Nikki Binnion and B. Lauren Salon, and I recommend her without hesitation.
