Spotted Duck Creamery came highly recommended, yet it still managed to surprise us in the best…read morepossible way. Imagine asking, "What would an ice cream stand be like if it were crossed with a fine FLX winery in a beautiful farm setting?"--that's exactly the vibe here. Elevated, serene, and absolutely delicious. The facility and grounds are immaculate, with a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they generously offered samples so we could explore the flavors before committing (dangerous, because they're all incredible). We ultimately chose three flavors: * Cookie Monster (Real Cookies & Cream) -- Their take on cookies & cream is next‑level. It's built on their handcrafted vanilla cream base and loaded with hearty chunks of their own legendary chocolate chip cookies. Think of an ice cream sandwich turned inside out--rich, decadent, and deeply satisfying. * Fleur Bleu -- A gorgeous blend of local organic blueberries, subtle French lavender, and their classic vanilla cream. It's delicate, floral, and beautifully balanced. This one kept us slowing down each bite just to savor the nuance. * Ditch Mint Chip -- Made with hand‑picked fresh mint and dark chocolate chips. Bright, refreshing, and leagues above the artificial mint flavor you get elsewhere. It was excellent, though admittedly overshadowed by the other two standouts. The frozen custard itself is among the best we've ever tasted--rich, creamy, and unbelievably smooth thanks to their signature use of local duck eggs. Even the vanilla base was a sleeper hit, with a depth of flavor you don't expect until it hits you. The setting is perfect for a Finger Lakes outing. Whether you're spending the day visiting wineries, hiking the gorges and waterfalls, or just exploring the region, you need to make this a stop on your route. It's one of those places that elevates your whole day. A truly special spot. We'll be back.

Incredible! Such a cute spot with delicious frozen custard! Adorable ducks! Very nice ambiance-…read morelots of outdoor seating with umbrellas too. First, the custard was all delicious. We ordered the flight with all 8 flavors, and I would happily eat even my least favorite again. So yummy and creamy. Richer and a tad denser than traditional icecream. The blueberry streusel flavor surprised me the most- it's vegan and I wasn't expecting to love it but it ended up being my favorite. The coconut is very subtle but melds beautifully with the other flavors. You can't tell that it is vegan. I also loved the Java Junction and the Real Cookies n cream flavors. Fleur Bleu had a very strong lavender flavor- it overpowered the blueberry flavor. It was so fun feeding the ducks! They were a bit shy at first but all came out when they realized we had food- just ask for some duck food when you order your custard! There is also a random peacock which was a fun surprise. Overall, I would highly recommend! Such a fun activity!

Sad I needed to give the single star... location, great! Perfect spot for a burger type summer…read moreSaturday dinner and perhaps a little ice cream... how ever... we my friend and I are in our late 60's so have been around the block... so I'll be brief. Initially we were ignored by all employees, waited way too long to order as they seemed to all be engaged mostly talking to one another... food: once we got it, was horrible... French fries were cold and soggy. Burger was kinda messy, the lettuce was wilted from being under a heat lamp way too long. chicken sando likewise and everything seemed out of the box (Sysco reheat house) no condiments, no napkins or service ware.. when ketchup was sought a few "packet" were offered. The staff seemed to be preoccupied with each other with no one knowing what even bad service was... tried for an ice cream... ordered a cup and a small cone... dismissed to the "other window" upon paying where a unidentified cup was sitting with no apparent service ware available. I asked for a spoon and the counter creature barked there were sooon right in "front of you". There was a container above eye level with I guess had a few spoons at the bottom but since I had forgotten my x-ray goggles, I was unable to see the two spoons... then watching a young ice cream ... ahh tech, I suppose, struggle with the soft serve machine, but she did have a roughly 1 foot high cone and soft serve combo and she was trying to secure some help with this endeavor, I asked if that would be my small twist? At which time the excited gaggle of gathered counter kids all chortled "yes... that's our small!!!" OMG what a waste of marketing effort... no one over 15 needs that much ice cream... and it was a small... I refused it and asked for a reasonable sized portion to which they, the aforementioned gaggle said you want our kiddie portion... I agreed to that size but this could have been avoided if the had some sort of size posted. Over all it was a horrible customer service experience... management has zero clue what or how a fast dining experience should be. As a side note they recently upgraded the pos and need help adapting to the system. But none of our issues were related to that... it was a series of lost opportunities to show that anyone cared about what or how they should treat a guest along with old poorly packaged food that sat way to long. Incidentally there is zero reasons to have BAD French Fries with all the superior products available I will not be back!

Not a large menu, but it has all the basics, hamburger , cheeseburger, hot dog, chicken sandwich, tenders, salads and 3 sides.... fries, onion rings and fried mozzarella. They had two specials.... sausage peppers and onions and philly cheese steak. We ordered inside and they brought it outside to our tables. Everyone enjoyed their choices. My hamburger was fresh and cooked well....lettuce, tomato and pickles finished the perfect flavor profile. The fries were thin, hot and crispy. The onion rings were a standout, with a beautiful crunch maybe from cornmeal in the batter. They have several sauces for dipping. The ice cream treats were prepared beautifully and were delicious. My root beer float hit the spot, milkshakes were creamy and rich, the sundaes were packed full. Service was amazing. Everyone was smiling and friendly and helpful. Everyone, including the owner Seb, worked so hard to make sure we were happy with the food and everything else. Just a note....their credit card machine does not have a place to leave a tip(I was surprised) but I left them cash as they worked so hard and deserved it. .

I got the chocolate soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and it was the perfect sweet treat. If you only want a little something, you can get a kids size like I did, but they also have small, medium, and large sizes too. One thing to know is that it is cash only. If you do not have cash, they may offer an IOU like they did for us. There is an ATM next door, but I had issues with it not accepting my card, and my friends had the same problem, so I ended up paying in quarters. They were very kind and patient about it though. The line can get pretty long, but it moves quickly, so it is not a bad wait at all. It would be nice if there was more seating, especially since so many people come here, but overall it is still a really great stop for ice cream.

Cute seasonal ice cream spot in Ithaca!…read more Located in downtown- the line can get pretty long in the evenings- even on weekdays. Cash only so be prepared. I am partial to soft serve but have tried both their hard icecream and soft serve. I prefer their soft serve but wish they had more flavors. I tried the classic chocolate twist and the two berry twist soft serves. In the two berry twist, I didn't like the pink flavor- it was too icy and more like a sorbet/dole whip than true soft serve. I liked the purple flavor thought! Overall, I still frequent Sweet Melissa's for softserve close to Cornell! Would recommend!
