Suddenly I felt a shift in my soul as I handed the keys to my husband and decided to drive my 15 year old van home. I intentionally avoided the freeway and took the back roads back to Alpharetta from Kennesaw. At that point I decided that I could not get rid of my van as there was just too much history there. The fact that I did not want to trade it in was an indication of some unresolved feelings. I not only wanted to keep it but I wanted to have it painted and repaired as needed. I have two motor heads in the family so I knew that they would take care of the "under the hood" matters. When it came to painting, I had stored Express Auto Body Service in my memory bank after they had taken care of one of our cars years ago. We had gotten an estimate previously but weren't sure if we wanted to invest the money in such an old vehicle so matters were placed on hold. We could have chosen to just hit the hot spots where the sun had severely damaged the paint but instead decided to have a complete makeover When she finally arrived home, we knew that we had made the right decision because she looked great. Upon seeing her, my first reaction was to hop out and give her a hug. No I'm not strange, I just know that hugs are appreciated. I really missed my baby! Once the paint has cured in a few weeks, I will be taking her back for be buffed and boy she will be popping for sure. If you have an older vehicle that is still mechanically sound and holds great memories, consider painting it and keeping it in the family for the sake of nostalgia. Actually, since I work close to home I will using my "old school" baby as my primary vehicle and for local errands. The "new girl" will be used for vacations and road trips if there ever is such a thing once Covid-19 subsides. Anyway, I definitely recommend Auto Body for your auto repair and painting needs. The paint and molding looked perfect, as well as the door. Although it took a couple of extra days (none of which was their fault as parts were delayed), it was well worth it. Not only did they repair my car, but they detailed it as well. Seriously, it was just as beautiful as the day I drove it off the showroom lot (and their detail job was better than the dealership's). As far as price, Jim was very fair and showed me the parts he had to order and his estimate/quote was right on the money. I am a woman and in no way did I feel he was dishonest or took advantage of me. I did not pay a dime over that amount. His quote was $2,000 less than the first one I got and trust me this isn't because they do shoddy work. Their work is impeccable and I cannot recommend them enough. If you need body work done, you really should check Jim's shop out. I don't think you will be disappointed at all!

Extremely Disappointing Sales Experience - Poor Communication and Follow-Up…read moreI contacted RBM of Alpharetta through Cars.com because I was seriously interested in purchasing a Mercedes they had for sale. I am located in Houston, Texas, and was prepared to drive to Georgia immediately to purchase the vehicle if we could agree on the numbers. Unfortunately, my experience with Lori Mohr was extremely disappointing from the beginning. I submitted my lead the evening before and received only an automated response. By around noon the following day, after the dealership had already been open for approximately five to six hours, I still had not received a personal phone call or meaningful response from Lori. I finally called the dealership myself and spoke with Travis in new-car sales. I specifically told Travis that I preferred to work with him because Lori had not followed up with me. A manager later called and encouraged me to give Lori another opportunity, telling me that she was a great salesperson and would take care of me throughout the transaction. I agreed. I then provided Lori with all of my trade-in information and even sent her copies of two purchase orders from Mercedes-Benz dealers in Houston. I made my position extremely simple: if RBM could match the deal I already had available in Houston, I was prepared to drive from Houston to Georgia and purchase their vehicle immediately. After providing everything requested, I heard nothing from Lori for the remainder of the day. The following day, I waited approximately another five hours after the dealership opened before finally texting her myself asking where we stood. She responded that she was working on it. Another day passed with no meaningful update. The next morning, around 9:00 a.m., I again had to remind her that I was a serious customer waiting on an answer and was prepared to drive from Houston to Georgia to purchase this vehicle. Approximately four hours later, I finally received a response simply telling me they could not match the deal. I have absolutely no issue with a dealership being unable to match another dealer's price. That's business. My issue is the complete lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service throughout the process. There was no phone call explaining the numbers, no attempt to see whether there was another way to make the deal work, and not even a simple "Thank you for the opportunity" after I had spent several days trying to purchase a vehicle from them. What makes the situation more disappointing is that I had already expressed my concerns about Lori's lack of responsiveness to management at the beginning of the process. I was specifically assured that communication would not be a problem. Unfortunately, the exact same problem continued. When someone is willing to drive from Houston, Texas, to Alpharetta, Georgia, to purchase a vehicle, provides complete trade information, and supplies competing purchase orders showing exactly what it would take to earn their business, I would expect considerably better communication from a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lori Mohr or RBM of Alpharetta. The issue wasn't that they couldn't match the price--it was how poorly the potential customer was handled from beginning to end. There are too many Mercedes-Benz dealerships willing to communicate promptly and professionally for a customer to have to repeatedly chase a salesperson just to get an answer.

One week later, the service center on State Bridge tells me I need an alignment. Here is a surprise, when I came back to pick up my car, they informed me they charge 3% for using a credit card. I am going back to Curry Honda! I always felt like I was ripped off every time I brought my car in.

I am a Honda Master Technician, and have been for 27 years. I know all of the typical auto service industry tactics, and what poor quality is when it comes to having your vehicle repaired. That being said, once I decided to take my career path toward the corporate world, you would think that I would not go back to Honda Carland or its Service Center, and you'd be wrong. Again, I know what quality is when it comes to having your Honda and Acura repaired, because of my experience. Yes, I do my own oil changes, but I still need to visit the dealer for my company car, where I could choose ANY Honda dealer in the Atlanta area. Knowing what I know, I willingly choose to have my car(s) serviced by the Service Center because I trust the technicians working there having worked with them in the past. No, I don't get preferential treatment. No, I don't get discounts. No, I wasn't asked to post this. I am not a shill for Honda Carland, and never will be. I get the feeling that the bad reviews here are people who take their cars to Pep Boys and expect dealership quality. This body repair shop is located on exit 14 right off GA 400 behind the Holiday Inn Express. It's a…read morelittle confusing to get to, because you do not see the building from either of the main roads; Market Place Blvd or Buford Hwy. You have drive through Lowe's parking lot to get to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and then drive through their parking lot to get to this body shop. Nonetheless, I kind of like how it's tucked back behind other buildings away from the main roads. I had to have the front my car repaired because a deer ran out in front of my car while I was driving... messed up the entire front bumper, the grill, head lights and slightly bent part of the front right side of the car above the front right side tire (as seen in the pictures attached). I immediately filed a claim with my insurance and then looked up covered collision shops in the area. Caliber Collision came up as the number one recommended body repair shop, so I went ahead and booked an appointment for an estimate. When I showed up for my appointment, I checked in and waited for about 15 minutes. Mike Dressel, the Service Advisor, inspected our car and was very sharp, honest, friendly and understanding! He pointed out as much as he could to me while he inspected the car, so that I could visually see what damages had actually occurred and needed to be repaired/ inspected further. This process took about 5 to 10 minutes. Once he finished up inspecting we went back inside where he drew up the estimate. He went ahead and forwarded the estimate over to my insurance, so that they could see what the amount would be to get our car repaired. Because of Mike's friendly and professional attitude, my wife and I decided to go with Caliber Collision for our repairs. It also helped that they were ranked #1 in the area by USAA! The repairs took less then a week. The thing we loved most about the whole repair process was how much this shop kept us up to date through text message. They let us know when repairs were coming to an end and then the estimated date of completion. The next text we got was that our car's repairs were complete and ready to be picked up! Very smooth and easy process with this repair shop to say the least. If you are looking for a repair shop to take your car in for repairs, THIS IS THE SHIOP! I hope to not have another repair, BUT if I do, I will gladly take my car here, because they did an excellent job as seen in the pictures attached. Then I get a text at 11am saying the completion date has changed from 7/31 to 8/18. There has been no communication from the shop so I called and they stated the date changed cause my frame is bent. I asked why I'm being notified just now about this and it was because they are "slammed with cars and my vehicle slipped through the cracks". They also stated they had talked with my insurance and when I talked with my insurance they had NO communication from the repair shop since July 10th. Awful service. Awful communication.
