Note...I take extra great care of my "baby" ...and when I get the slightest scratch on it, I feel that I'd been a total failure. For almost three years now, not a single scratch on my car.....then, you get one of these crazy angled planter curbs at the shopping center parking lot that's too high and not easily visible, and scruuuuuuunch! The first thing on my mind was, Oh cr*p!..nooooooo!!!!.....then my heart sank like a rock as I was thinking the worst. Went out to take a look and wanted to cry....yea, it wasn't that visible when you're standing up, but you know it's there.....so I had to get it fixed asap! I hadn't been to a body shop around these parts so had no idea where to turn to....so I called up my clear bra guy and he highly recommended Spectrum as he not only did a lot of work for them on their premises, I was also told that they were one of the best out there....especially for higher end cars. I called in to get an estimate and was told to bring my car in...so I did right away. John attended to me and he's just the greatest, most friendly, most professional, most honest, most understanding, and most helpful guy around! He took care of me from start to finish and updated me as to the progress along the way. I was also happy that he advised me to not to drive the car while the paint was curing and till after the clear bra was re-installed....which took about 3 weeks in total. I could have driven the car home after the paint job was done in one week, but John had strongly recommended I not do that so as to avoid getting rock chips on the paint before I'd even installed the clear bra...otherwise, what's the point right? I was totally fine with that as I wanted the job done right, and Spectrum did a spectacular job on my car......it looks even better than when I brought it in!......and for such a meticulous job, I'm pretty surprised it only cost me $1,800+ all in.....I got an estimate from another place and they wanted much more! I'm so pleased with the service and work Spectrum did with my car that I drove below the speed limit all the way home to avoid getting any rock chips too soon! My baby and I are back together again, and that's what counts! :) read more

I called up and mentioned I have a side view mirror replacement part that I could take care of myself but would take hours or maybe pay them for not if their time. I came in later that afternoon and he just did the right thing to make sure I come back when I have real car business. Took them 15 minutes and asked for nothing. Attached is an image of the response I get. After all these excuses... In short, (1) Your estimates are not worth the paper they are written on. Your systems and processes do not work. Learn your own estimates, "O" does not mean OEM part, it means "Other parts". The red arrow on the estimate clearly shows the additional cost of a New (OEM) part. (3) If something happens at your business, "it's out of your control" and "there's nothing you can do". Zero accountability. (4) Now your calling me a liar! You and I both know the truth. You clearly claimed you where talking to your "Tesla guy". I do not trust you and since you are speaking as a representative of Spectrum Collision I do not trust your business with ANY payment information and certainly not my Tesla. Spectrum Collision does not have the ability to provide quality service. I'm willing to pay twice as much elsewhere to be treated with honesty and integrity. I told you not to waste my time Johnny... After only having my Tesla for 3 months, a drunk driver smashed into the back. Spectrum Collision took my car in and serviced it even though they were short staff! I'm working diligently with Ted to get everything perfect and he's been in contact with both the insurance and Tesla to get things back to operating standards. They had to take my car back and fix more things, I was granted a car ride home by Pedro who is PHENOMENAL! He made me feel so comfortable during the ride, he is very inviting to talk to and very personable and kind spirited! My car was recently in a small accident and right away I knew I needed to take my car to Spectrum Collision since they did a great job on a prior repair. Excellent customer service from Gary who works very diligently with your insurance company (if applicable), but most importantly the repair work they did to my car was SUPERB. My car is about 8 years old and when I left Spectrum Collision upon pickup, it looked like my car was just purchased from the lot. The repair work was impeccably done and my car was nicely cleaned (interior and exterior) on pickup. Hands down I will be coming here again if my car ever needs repair work. read more

I brought my car into Spectrum Collision this morning to receive an estimate for some damage to my wife's left bumper on her 2021 330e. The receptionist was great and got me to RJ Ramos, Project Manager for an estimate. In less than 15 minutes RJ had buffed out the bumper scratches and got me on the road! RJ apparently is the guy that handles AAA insurance claims he isn't good dealing with customers maybe because I told him his receptionist put me on hold for eternity. APPARENTLY bmw owns them but not sure so they only like working with high end cars Oops my truck is a work truck f150 wasn't nice enough for them, don't go there then he said they would keep my car for 4 weeks forget that.SO I TOOK MY CAR TO 2 OTHER COLLISON PLACES TO GET A WRITTEN estimates other places qere very accommodating with there time and customer service response. read more

I can't stress how mismanaged spectrum collision is. No one calls back, all message and issues go into a black hole. I had a car there that took dozens of calls (most of them unanswered) and the whole process felt like pulling teeth. At the end, the car still has issues and I'm so done dealing with this terrible company that I've just decided to take the car else where, something I should have done a long long time again to save so much stress, anger and anxiety. Low and behold thi gem and Nick from the adjustors department who took the time to check out my Tesla which was hit and runned on last week. I was feeling really crappy for a while. He kindly saw that he could help touch up the situation and buff out the scratches and in 5 minutes my bumper/nose cone looked just about as good as it was! I recommend you all come and find Nick. I went here to get touch up paint for my Tesla. They are Tesla certified and this is where I'll go for any body work I might need done in the future. Jessica was super nice and helpful to me and so was Gary. They didn't charge me anything for this paint. That's un heard of. They saved me $55.00 right off because that's what Tesla website charges to order it from them. When I had my Audi the Audi dealer in Riverside charged me $25.00 for some. I've been in to Spectrum Collision in the past. The first time with a '92 BMW 325 I had that got backed into the side of, then again with a 02' Mini S that got backed into except this time taking out the front of the car. So, fortunately/unfortunately enough I knew exactly who to call when I walked outside from the store and discovered someone had left a massive scratch in the front of my new car. I went in for a quote, and after about 15 minutes of reviewing my options was told to come back on Tuesday and they'd get it taken care of. I have had 3 different BMWs at Spectrum Collision for either paint job or accident damage. They do an outstanding job and do quality work. Most recently we had our BMW 435I convertible rear ended on the freeway with more damage than first anticipated. Johnny Maldjian was our project manager who provided us with great customer service, he took care of everything with AAA insurance and gave us weekly updates during the process. I strongly encourage you to find an alternative body shop. They repaired the bumper on my BMW after i had minor damage from being rear ended. When they returned the car to me the paint clearly didn't match and in addition the new paint had significant scratches in it and burn marks and swirls from amateur polishing. They repainted the bumper (took 3 weeks to get it back). Paint matched better but still below what would expect from a certified repair shop. More concerning is once again the paint condition looked terrible. There was a flaw in the paint that they over polished and left scratches in the newly painted bumper along with light clear coat scratches all over the bumper. This is an "okay" body shop. They do the work to specification but are a bit sloppy on fit and finish. Have used them 4 times over the last 18 years for my BMW"s. I believe they are the only certified BMW repair shop in the area. If you are really particular and looking to get a perfect result then I would suggest you look elsewhere. I generally lease my vehicles so I have not gone back to correct things such as polishing residue left in the seams, misaligned body panels, scratches on newly painted parts, etc. read more

This place is outrageous! They have HORRIBLE customer service. I had to track them down over and over again to get updates on my car and they seemed annoyed when I finally did reach them. They are also VERY over priced. I would never take my car here again. They are stereotypical mechanics trying to scam you out of your money. read more

They did a fabulous job fixing my car and got it back to me a day early . Very satisfied.

My Car was in the shop for over a month for a bumper repair and when it was done, the paint looked like it was done by an amateur. You could se all kinds of unevenness in the light reflection. These guys call themselves professionals? I can't believe they get business from Irvine BMW. They redid the paint work and the paint still looks bad and now I found what seems to be an improper assembly of the rear bumper underside. On top of that I had to deal with an extremely rude receptionist during one of my visits. There was one customer service rep who was very polite and tried to help, but what use is that when they can't get the work done right? Poor guy just spent alot of time apologizing and trying to make things right. In the end, my brand new BMW looks like crap after a bill of over 8k! What a ripoff! read more

Read all the 1 stars. The themes are the same or similar. This many people can't be wrong in accusing these guys of unscrupulous business practices. These guys treat you like a tow yard who has your car for ransom. Who has ever heard of not allowing an insurance adjuster on the property to look at the car. I should have know the first day when they told me it was going to be $3,000 to do my estimate for a scratched bumper and side fender. They made me sign a document allowing that expenditure. I questioned it and was told it was standard procedure and would come out of the repair. The scam was they held the repair at ransoms on crazy high labor rates forcing me to move the car but had to pay the $3,000 plus another $2,500 in storage fees. It's like dropping your car off at the local tow yard and asking them to put their best moves on you. Not sure how yelp is calculating their average, but it can't be. These guys should have the better business bureau all over them. read more

I called to schedule a time to bring in my vehicle for an estimate, Johnny Maldjian was very welcoming over the phone and advised I can stop by that morning and would prepare a rental vehicle for me once arrived. Amazing service!! Not only did he accommodate me he went over and behind to communicate directly with the insurance companies to make sure my vehicle had BMW parts not after market parts. I'm so thankful I got Johnny to work with me. He dealt directly with the insurance company at fault to stand up for me and make sure I was treated fairly and making sure my car was repaired correctly.
