He has done several laser surgeries and worked with me to find eyedrops that are not based on sulfa, to which I am allergic. He has done successful cataract surgery on both eyes. He is meticulous and thorough and can see problems that other doctors miss. If there is a need for emergency surgery he will make time for it. He tracks the progression of my glaucoma and adjusts what is needed, be it further laser surgery or different drops. I am grateful to him.

No patient should be treated this way, especially when simply trying to schedule an appointment. It's unfortunate because outstanding physicians can lose patients due to poor customer service. I strongly encourage the office to evaluate its front desk and telephone staff. She was able to accommodate my appointment request very easily and we got to see the doctor in just a few days. The office was very spacious and airy, with a very big waiting area. We were immediately helped to register as new patients and were on our way to get eye exams with Dr. Derdova. She was so nice and very thorough in all her explanations, and so patient/careful with everything. They have a large staff at the office and everyone we met was super nice and patient. The staff was also able to walk us through the insurance coverage for frames and helped us get the best deal on frames and lenses. I decided later on that I would cancel because I found another provider in the area that I preferred to give my business. When I called back to cancel, she was rude again before I even spoke - acting like it was the biggest inconvenience to have to answer the phone. RUN from this doctor!!! He botched my cataract surgery and now I have blurry vision, almost…read moreconstant pain, extremely watery eye, and other weird problems! The whole experience was horrible! I came out of a very long surgery with a VERY bloody eye which is not normal. This was a straightforward surgery with no complicating issues. Also I should have had astigmatism taken care of at the same time, which I requested, but he assured me that it was unnecessary and I would have perfect vision post-op without it. Not true! Not to mention that he was not very nice, but that was the least of my complaints. Office is also dumpy and equipment far from state of art. I later had cataract surgery on the other eye with another surgeon and it was a piece of cake with wonderful results. The difference was night and day!

One eye is distance and the other is for reading. The brain compensates. The staff was amazing and thorough. Dr. Goldberg is professional and patient. The surgeries went very well. I had no pain at all. I walked out without any patches. It's a month long on each eye with drops. So far so good. My eyesight is restored, and I am very grateful. There are many follow ups included after the surgeries. No stone is left unturned. I will probably get driving glasses for night driving only. My only issue with my new eyesight is having dry eye. I must continue to use Restasis twice a day. The dryness causes you to have blurry vision. No glasses will help this. It's part of the aging process. I am very happy with Dr. Goldberg and his staff. It was a painless procedure.

His staff was beyond thorough as far as all of the tests to give them the proper information and when I sat with Dr. Goldberg to discuss my options he took his time and explained my options to me, the positives, negatives and everything else I should know. He never hesitated or did not have an answer to any of my million questions. He knows what he's doing and is very patient. I had ICL surgery with him and in less than two weeks time I am seeing 20/20 when I was seeing 20/40 +2 with glasses/contacts before surgery. I could never thank Dr. Goldberg and his staff enough for literally giving me the gift of sight. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.
