He has done several laser surgeries and worked with me to find eyedrops that are not based on sulfa, to which I am allergic. He has done successful cataract surgery on both eyes. He is meticulous and thorough and can see problems that other doctors miss. If there is a need for emergency surgery he will make time for it. He tracks the progression of my glaucoma and adjusts what is needed, be it further laser surgery or different drops. I am grateful to him.

He told me that most likely Dr.Friedberg would laser it or inject medicine to help the burry vision in my right eye. Dr.Friedberg dismissed this diagnosis and said that I had a torn retina. He said I had two options. One was laser that would improve my vision but would not give me full range of vision. The second was surgery at Riverview that would be 95 percent improved. Obviously, I chose surgery. His scheduler set it up for two days later and told me I needed to rent a special chair for the weeks following because the bubble put in eye requires looking down for over a week. Surgery was unusual and he was nasty to the assisting nurses. I also sensed a problem when apparently they did not have enough probes on site. He used what they had and continued. After the surgery I told him that I was prepared with the chair and he said his technique did not require it. $250 to rent this based on his staff's instruction. After the two months healing period I had worse vision than before. He then said I needed injections once a month for four months and that should solve the issue. At that point he also said that he did see the swelling that I originally came to him. Insisted it had nothing to do with retinopathy. After the fourth injection showed no improvement he basically told me that there was nothing else that he could do and I should consider this eye as a "spare tire". What? Follow up with my ophthalmologist was not promising and after I told him what happened, he said we have to wait and see how the eye progresses but the cataract in the same eye may not be able to be fixed with surgery without risk due to the retina surgery which weakens the eye. I feel he botched the surgery and then dismissed me knowing that he screwed up. I would strongly not recommend this guy. As others have stated, his office is old with old equipment.

I like that Dr. Greco is a solo medical provider, as I never have to bother with being shuffled around from one technician to another, as is the case in a larger practice with multiple physicians. This allows for more personal attention at every visit. Dr. Greco also takes the time to assess the overall well-being of his patients and provide advice accordingly. In my case, when I informed Dr. Greco that my elderly parent has Advanced Macular Degeneration, Dr. Greco immediately changed my monitoring to provide for extra attention to my own maculae, to include arranging a periodic visit for me with a retinal specialist. More recently, when I exhibited symptoms of double vision, Dr. Greco examined me and determined that I should immediately check in to my local Emergency Room to rule out any possibility of a stroke or other dangerous neurological issues. Thanks to Dr. Greco, I was diagnosed by a neurologist with a mild case of Myasthenia Gravis, for which I am being treated successfully with medication. For all of the above reasons, I highly recommend Dr. Greco to anyone looking for an exceptional and caring ophthalmologist.

I came out of a very long surgery with a VERY bloody eye which is not normal. This was a straightforward surgery with no complicating issues. Also I should have had astigmatism taken care of at the same time, which I requested, but he assured me that it was unnecessary and I would have perfect vision post-op without it. Not true! Not to mention that he was not very nice, but that was the least of my complaints. Office is also dumpy and equipment far from state of art. I later had cataract surgery on the other eye with another surgeon and it was a piece of cake with wonderful results. The difference was night and day!

They bill you twice as they won't fit you for glasses and contacts in the same visit. Right off the bat, she was rude and condescending as I asked questions about what the appointment would be like...even saying "You should probably just go to Lenscrafters" after I inquired about a simple eye exam to update my glasses prescription. Thinking she was just having an "off" day, I made the mistake of making an appointment. I decided later on that I would cancel because I found another provider in the area that I preferred to give my business. When I called back to cancel, she was rude again before I even spoke - acting like it was the biggest inconvenience to have to answer the phone. I'm not really sure what her job is and/or what she thinks her job is ...but perhaps it shouldn't include having to interact with patients.

I called several times trying to schedule an appointment and had no success. When Theresa answered the phone, she was rude from the start and placed me on hold for over 20 minutes without any resolution. When I called back, she was again rude, condescending, and dismissive. I politely asked her to stop being rude and to please listen to what I was trying to explain. Instead of helping me, she hung up on me. No patient should be treated this way, especially when simply trying to schedule an appointment. It's unfortunate because outstanding physicians can lose patients due to poor customer service. I strongly encourage the office to evaluate its front desk and telephone staff. The way patients are treated before they ever see the doctor matters, and experiences like this will inevitably drive people elsewhere.
