Needless to say, we never got a call back, so we were not able to fulfill the birthday wish. The birthday girl and I am severely disappointed, sad and now angry. This is not the experience we wanted or expected. We were in the store six months ago and everyone was falling all over themselves to set up a private class. This isn't how you run a business, it's not how you treat customers, and it's certainly not how you stay in business. The business owner, Cindy, saw my review and said they do not have the staff to offer private classes. Then continued to say to check the website for a form that has info on private events. So which is it? Either you do or you don't. It doesn't matter because they've lost our business and we are now spreading the word to avoid this place because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. We did get two call backs by the way, one guy told us we needed to talk to Priscilla (who never called us back or would come to the phone) and the other said she taught those classes but wouldn't be available the day we wanted.

Cute painting place. Definitely a great date night place as well :) will be coming back here!read more

Made fresh product in front of me and was absolutely amazing! The thing I was disappointed in was the lack of community support. I think it would've been lovely to see more people out and about purchasing.

Every neighborhood should have a weekly marketplace and the Whiteaker Community Market really…read moreraises the bar when it comes to community involvement. Every Sunday from 11am-4pm, local vendors and artists gather together on 2nd and Van Buren to display their delicious and beautiful goods. From shaved ice to vintage clothing and fresh veggies, you really can find some amazing treasures here. Every person I have met here whether it was a vendor or a passerby has been friendly and welcoming. You really do feel like you're a part of the community when you come here no matter who you are or where you are from. The market hosts yoga sessions, live music and open mic which gives artists an opportunity to showcase their talents. You can even use your EBT card to shop here for fresh food which is amazing! I've purchased essential oil sprays, yummy homemade snacks, organic makeup and my mom even had her tarot cards read. This market continues to grow each year and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this thriving neighborhood full of colorful individuals.
