My wife had to make an appointment 7 weeks out to get her hair done. Seven weeks. She received a confirmation text two days prior to her appointment and one on day of at 8 am confirming her 9 am appointment. At 8:05 am gets a text they need to cancel. Luckily she had not left yet. She was about to. It's a 45-min drive. Seven weeks out to schedule an appointment and they cancel at the last second. I understand people get sick unexpectedly but when you are booked out that far in advance you should have a backup plan and not just say we will have to reschedule. My wife will never use or recommend this spa. read more

What I noticed was the cleanliness and how attention to detail they were. I just knew soon as my nails are done from improper treatment, I would head over to Clark Salon & Spa. If you follow me a bit, you will see that I am open to new experiences. This was not the exception. Having never done a floatation relaxation session. For the holidays I purchased a trio of passes to sample the floatation experience for my loved one. I wanted us to go on a ride that we would enjoy... arriving was smooth, the receptionist was a pleasant woman who guided us through the processes. Changing room came with a lock, strip down to your birthday suit and robed. Walk down a bit to the relaxing waiting room. Then we were led to two rooms which were side by side and exactly the same. Shower first to remove all daily oils and such on the skin and then jump in. The sensation was an interesting experience. It was recommended to lie with arms upwards over the head but I tested down by my sides. It is comfortable. You have the option of many different color lights or pure black. You can have the music on or shut it off. There is a button you can push to reach for further assistance from the front desk. Now I've done a lot of research on this and the health benefits and all that but I have to remember we aren't going into this altered state route. Stepping into the water and floating 8 inches from the bottom in water with 1000 pounds of epsom salt. Was unique in the way you actually float. I hope the Dead Sea is like that so I'm prepared. However it was a bit disconcerting, trying to relax in an environment that supposed to be similar temperature of your skin. Unfortunately it was a bit chilly, being that I'm stark naked. So I really couldn't get too relaxed. If there are any discrepancies , stop right there! Tell the front desk and get it fixed ASAP. Also another thing I didn't know, if you and your significant other want to do this together be aware that you will not be sharing a tub. Last thing I did not know was there is a fee for contaminating the water. Not too sure what that entails to but assuming bodily fluids, urine, blood, etc count. So be sure to really empty your bladder before you start. Now that I'm more aware I know my next trip Will be better. So much better than CALGONNNNNNNN... read more

Nothing like a relaxing day at the spa right? Well, the facial burned and hurt! To their credit, new clients get $20 off services (if you mention their website) but for the $50 I paid to clean my pores, I'm not sure if I would go back for a facial due to the PTSD flashbacks. This felt more like a chemical peel; like acid on my delicate skin. Luckily I recovered in one day. Why did my esthetician have to move away? If you want a facial this place may be your only option because as I called around, no one had a professional; I was told they are, "Searching and hiring one soon." But I realized walking in that they offer full spa services therefore I plan on going back and try the hair and nails departments. It's work being a girl! And their flotation therapy, featured in the Canton monthly magazine, sounds pretty cool so I'm hoping to test that out and will let you know if truly takes the stress off. read more

Refused to honor an appointment due to made up reason. I found their groupon for a 60 minute float. Now, I am epileptic (this is relevant) but have been on medication (specifically Keppra) for over 10 years seizure free. I do not have tonic-clonic seizures, I have what are called complex partial seizures which are annoying but are relatively low risk. The only reason I do not challenge myself off medications is because I also hold an EMT license and my neurologist and I decided that it would be the best to maintain me if I was going to be driving an ambulance or doing anything when patients' lives could be on the line. That being said, everything I do that is on my bucket list gets run by several healthcare providers and if even one expresses concern, the idea is set on the backburner. In this way, I have gone skydiving, snorkeling, swimming with manatees in the open water, white water rafting, learn to fly a helicopter, horseback riding, vision quests, a modified Native American "sweat," modified whole body bungee jump (twice), floated in the dead sea, and as soon as I save up the money I am going to have a Dive physical to see if I can get a SCUBA license (I will be wearing a modified mask as a compromise.) Imagine my surprise when I was told after driving a little over three hours to get to the spa and checking in that there was a problem because I was epileptic. The groupon did not state that epileptics were not allowed to have a floatation session, which I knew to be false based on my research and my asking around. They also did not ask this when I was calling to schedule the appointment on Oct 1. On the waiver one signs (which one did not get until I was there), there was conflicting information. The first section said epileptics must be on medication, while the second part just asks if you have a list of conditions including epilepsy. I checked off epilepsy and told the young lady (whose boyfriend is a fellow EMT brother) who was checking me in that I was epileptic but I had been on medication for 10 years and was doing this with physician approval (one even suggested it!) and in fact I had a doctor's appointment in Atlanta in just a few hours. She claims she is going to talk to the owner and I see her going to another woman, she reports back that there is a slow strobe light in the sensory deprivation room. (Who puts a strobe in a sensory deprivation tank?) I ask if she can turn it off, she says she can. I also state I have sunglasses that I can wear. She says ok I can still go. Now an hour and a half has passed, now 20 minutes past my appointment, the lady who the other one said was the owner (I guess she was not), said that she spoke to the owner and they said I still can't go because of liability. That I should have come in with an approval letter and even then there was no guarantee that they would have let me float. It would be really difficult to come in with an approval letter if you have no way of knowing one was needed since many epileptics do this and a doctor recommended it and there was no indication that it would be an issue. Also since I had physicians knowing, if I had been told this issue at 10 am when it first came up and not 11:20 am, I could have had one of my healthcare team fax a letter. She took her time and explain every step of the process; I appreciate how she was honest about what to expect since this was a corrective treatment yet she was very caring and went above and beyond any expectations I had for today. In addition to stunning color, I also received a terrific cut. I will definitely be staying with Christine moving forward, and I appreciate how kind and gracious the entire staff was today on my visit. I had a scheduled appointment for a Floatation session. Within less than 5 mins my body started to itch intensely once I stepped into their floating unit. I went to my locker to get my cell phone to use the flashlight on it (the float units are dark with only a glow light). Only to discover their flotation unit had black mold and dirty body partials (that were not mine), floating in their unit (photos available if needed). A clear indication that the unit was not cleaned prior to my session. Considering we are in the midst of a pandemic it was disgusting and horrible that this spa/salon was neglect to clean the unit according to the various State and Federal guidelines. As the result of being allergic to mold, I had severe headaches for several days and rashes developed on my body shortly thereafter. I was told I would be refunded the amount I paid for the session in cash and never received my said refund. Only an apology (via text) from Alison Martin that saw the photos and unit while I was still at the spa. I haven't heard back from them since. A day at the spa should be relaxing and not left being horrified and triggered by spas going forward due to their negligence. They have a duty to protect their customers/clients from the germs and bacteria left from another person to prevent others from being exposed to it. read more

First time customer. I went in for a hair cut. I researched on the staff bios and picked one that specifically stated that they liked to do short cuts. I had several pictures and spent time discussing with the stylist what I liked and did not like. My hair length was well within the parameters for the style that I was requesting. Less than 45 min later I left looking worse than when I came in. I believe that the stylist felt that way to because she did not even offer me the mirror to look at the back. Will not be returning and cancelled an appointment that I had for my daughter. For such a "high dollar" salon did not have a good experience at all! read more

When I got to the salon everything was clean and everyone was so so sweet! They showed me around and made sure I was informed on everything. The best part was having a place to get ready afterwards. My first review is below. Here is my edited review: I was not happy with my hair and called to get it fixed. I didn't get a call back from my first call so I called the next day and got a manager. They originally told me I could have the same stylist redo my hair. Since I was just not happy with the result and I didn't feel our communication was great I asked for a different stylist. They agreed and got me in the next day. I saw Sarah and she was fabulous! Great attitude, asked great questions and did a fabulous job. I will now be going back to use this salon. I think making sure you get a more experienced stylist if you are doing a big color change is key here. I've gone here a few times and I'm just never really happy with the result. I had a hair cut done where the girl hardly cut it, it didn't look or feel any different so I had her cut more off - which just seemed to annoy her. More recently I had color done. I made an appointment for a consultation and if I was ok with the plan and price I'd do it. So I get there and it's not really a consultation. She can't seem to follow what I'm asking for despite having pictures with me. I almost left then and I should have. She was about to start and I asked her about the prices. She said she had to go look and just seemed annoyed. My hair looks nothing like what I asked for so I had her touch it up again - she was super irritated at that point and told me she would put bleach on it but it would all probably break off. No manager ever checked on us and I was there over 4 hours. I would have thought when they saw I was not happy a manager would come try to create a plan to get it right. I'll be going to a different salon to get my hair fixed this week. Lesson learned: ask the stylist if they have ever done what your asking for and don't let anyone start working if you have a bad feeling. The end product is not terrible. It's not what I asked for but its not terrible. If anyone in the entire salon had been friendly or seem to care about getting it right my review might be much different. But snotty attitudes, everyone walking around with a stank face expression and I never felt comfortable trying to express what I wanted or the changes I needed. My husband booked an appointment for me for a float on Saturday at 330. After some consideration we called and had it moved to today, Friday, at 430. I drive up there and showed up only to be told that there was a mistake and I couldn't go back. The lady at the front just kept saying how she typically worked in hair but was up front and didn't like it. I was never given the option to speak with a manager or anything, they just asked me to come back another day. I am livid. This was an anniversary present and one of the only days I could get someone to watch my eight month old. He called and rescheduled to another day at 230 but I called and cancelled it as I'm not interested in giving these people any of my money. When I cancelled the girl who answered didn't even seem to care and didn't offer any solution or offer to talk to a manager. I highly recommend anyone to book their services elsewhere or be very wary of booking an appointment at all because it may not be there when you arrive. Very very displeased. read more

I am an experienced floater and heard about this location from a friend who gets her hair cut here. Being that it is almost an hour closer to the one I go I gleefully made an appt. 1) The staff was friendly but not knowledgeable regarding the light therapy (hypnogogic light) and a few other things that I asked to honestly just to see how educated they were on the service they were providing. 2) the spa is also a salon so the fresh smell of perm and fingernail polish got my senses off on a rocky start 3) once in the back, the robes smelled awful 4) earplugs were extremely cheap, had to use 2 pair before I could get a good seal and 1/2 way through floating they came out 5) lip inside the floatation device felt grimy 6) the salt water felt weaker than the other locations I have been at (could just be a different brand) 7) the rooms were not sound proof...HELLO...this a big deal! Sensory deprivation! I do not need to hear a toilet flush and constant banging! 8) shampoo/conditioner had a very powerful floral scent (not fond of) 9) towels were just straight out rough 10) aloe vera moisturizer was EMPTY. (FYI shampoo /soap/conditioner was low too) 11) the lavender walls and royal blue ceilings were kind of a visual sensory overload I have only been here to float and do NOT recommend floating at this location. This is not a TRUE sensory deprivation experience...it is a salt bath soak in a big tub! read more

I found Clark Salon online and they were very friendly and answered all of my questions when I called. Best of all, I found Ryan, who did an amazing job of blonde highlights and low lights for what I think is a fair price. The salon is clean and modern and it was a pleasant experience all around.
