I am a new customer. Clark came out for my first visit. Technician Alex was amazing! He was kind, helpful, answered questions, went above and beyond! Such a great start to a business relationship! My next appointment a month later was scheduled between 8a-12p. I understand these windows are common practice so no big deal. I took some time off from working 60-70 hours a week as I needed to get this done. I waited until 12:20p with no calls, no voicemails and no text messages and left to go and continue my day. While driving to work I spent 45 mins on hold and spoke to the technician who showed up at 12:35 pm and said he called me 3 times. (No missed calls, no voicemails, no texts) Finally talked a nice woman who eased my frustrations and told me the supervisor of the local branch would reach out to me on Monday as the supervisors don't work weekend afternoons which is totally understandable. I agreed not to cancel my service before speaking to a supervisor on Monday. Here it is Tuesday morning and no supervisor calls. I am a very patient and understanding person as long as communication is present. I'm not upset with anyone tbh. This is just a lack of communication. Don't use this company! Requested a service for what we thought must be termites at my mother's house. The Expert came by and assured us they were a type of ant. We took his word for it. It increased and we kept calling for more ant sprays. 1 1/2 years later we called them back out again for inspection and the real termite expert came out, it's termites, all this time! So mad. Because of their error the termites got under the house and started eating away at some of the timber. Their estimate for repair is $11,000. Because of our complaint, however they're willing to give us 10% off that bill! Can you believe that?! No, they are not getting our business anymore. Guess they got too big. The person who services is very customer oriented and friendly. However, the problem I am dissatisfied with is the way the office runs. My payments were taken monthly for a long time, but then I got a call that I was past due four months. My atm card numbers didn't change, but for some reason it didn't work on their end. I gave the person the same number and they took out $180. Then that same problem happened again. I called, gave them my ATM number, they took $180, and I figured their software had an issue because that happened twice. We expected service to be normal again but then spider webs started really appearing this summer. We called them. They had dropped our service without telling us. It's a bummer, because I like the service folks. Lesson to me is to check for the $45 deduction monthly and call if it doesn't show up. Unfortunately I was so very busy with career that I didn't look at the details with my bank. I think the office handled us very poorly and I am very upset with dropping us and not informing us, along with probable software issues with deducting payments. I will not recommend them to anyone because I would hate for anyone to experience the poor back office service. read more

However, since we don't live in the cottage they were servicing, a neighbor told us they just barely sprayed anything on appointments and spent less than 3 mins each time. When we asked them not to renew the yearly contract four months before ending, they just cancelled the whole service right away, without giving any excuses. read more

I had to call Clark due to bug issues in my house. They responded quickly and sent out Anthony for my evaluation. Anthony explained what method he recommended and cost very thoroughly and gave me a reasonable price. I honestly expected to pay way more than what I was quoted. I called Clark a couple months ago. My experience with two of the workers that came out to inspect my house. We're rude. They were telling me if they can't see the box they can't trade it. I kept telling them look at my legs I was being bitten All the time. One of them told me I should go to the doctors and see what's wrong with me. That was a sad thing to say to somebody. When he left, I called again and someone else came. This person was the same way but one thing he told me that I really didn't like because I had said that I don't like living like this. I need to get fumigated and he said the same thing if I can't see it, I can't trade it. I was willing to pay whatever they wanted but still I got a no, so I got frustrated with him and told him I don't like my house. And he said just put a match to it. And I think that was uncalled, for it was not people friendly they didn't have understanding and they just did not want to see the problem that I had was not visible. But it is there. It's sad that I have to live like this, I'm trying to eradicate it myself because I can't get the help that I need because you can't see them. Now if I just let them fester in my house then they will get big so you can see them but I apologize I am not going to live and wait for bugs to get big so you could see them so shame on you Clark . read more

This company is so unreliable. Their service is very flaky, and one time they flaked on us last minute after waiting weeks and months of trying to get an appointment. They are inclear about the details regarding extermination & techinician services. Also, they always say they will call back, but they never do, and they never pick up the phone. So terrible. For those who don't know, CLARK actually do home inspection and bathroom remodels too. This is a review about the bathroom remodel. And they are terrible at it. About 1 yr and 8 month ago we purchase a house in union city, Clark did the pest inspection and also found water damage. We decided to let them do our 2nd floor bathroom remodeling and repairs to our regret as the job was expensive (several thousand) and mediocre. Now flash forward to the past weekend. The remodeled 2nd floor bathroom is seldom used as we have two bathroom and it is only used by guests and visiting in-laws, used on avg about 1-2 weekends per month. To our dismay this weekend we found cracks along the seal between the floor to the our tub and to our toilet. What's worst is that some water splashed out while my in-law was taking a shower and it dripped down to the ceiling of our garage! The ceiling is wet and after a few days left brown stain. I called Clark on Monday and they had a quick response, arranging a time to come visit on Thursday. So far good. Then on Thursday the person came, he took a look, wobbled the toilet and declared that the work done was fine, despite the big gaps between the floor and the tub/toilet. He then said those are "natural" and they are not responsible but for a fee they can check if there are other plumbing issue. I understand the one year warrenty is up but you can't at least reseal the gaps? Nope, that's just natural and can't be helped. I have to say I was very disappointed especially the amount of money we spent. A few years back we had someone else remodel our other second floor bathroom of about the same size, same job, for less. That bathroom is perfect, no problems, no cracks and gaps. In the end I asked the person to leave as all he could offer me was "an inspection for a fee and then we can proceed from there". For those who are purchasing a home or having clark do inspections, or just having them do anything not related to pest, be WARNED, they are not good at anything else. read more

For our sweet home in Lodi we have use Clark since 2015. Now only the occasional ant. The technicians that were assigned our home have been great. For past 2 years Jeff has been the technician. He keeps the same great service and professionalism that we had come to expect from Clark. He calls to set up date & time and shows up as scheduled. He is always friendly to chit chat yet stays on track! He always asks about any bug issues. We have neighbors that are packrats and run a junk business out of their garage which is always packed full of their latest haul. Then they leave the "sorted out" trash junk along the side yard. Jeff is very good at making sure that side of the property line gets a thorough spray for EVERYTHING because I know that junk has silverfish, cockroaches and bedbugs! Tries to Create Issues that are not there to bill you for more work: Chris came out to do a termite inspection for the sale of our house in Murrieta, CA. When finished, he indicated that the toilet bowl in one of the bathrooms was not completely secured to the floor and needed to be repaired before a clear was issued. He quoted at $450 for repair and we made appointment for following day. He then moved on to another home inspection. He didn't know the house he inspected next was the house we were in contact to buy. He told those homeowners that there were termite wings in the attic and the house needed to be tented. That house is only two years old and the homeowners have a full termite, and insect contract service who comes out quarterly, so they were outrage when he told them that. We all figured quickly it was a scam and we wanted to get second opinions. Second contractors came out later the same day and 1) out toilet could be fixed with a $20 kit from Home Deport and 2) there were termite wings in ONE location in the attic of the second house, and "they look like they were placed there because I do not see them anywhere else. No other signs of termite infestation were found" according to the second contractor. We called Chris to cancel our appointment to fix the toilet. Come to find out that his guy showed up anyway. Another real estate agent mistakenly let the guy into the house and when we came in, he had the toilet pulled apart from the floor and said "they never received the cancellation called. I can leave now but I have to leave the toilet as it is, pulled from the floor." So of course we had to pay him (at a discount rate now of $375). We have records of the called we made to cancel, as well as the new reports to show this guy was trying to pull scams on both houses to try and get more work. Needless to say that the real estate agent who hired him, got his contact information from a Real Estate Agent network site and she guaranteed they will not be providing work to his company from their Real Estate Agent network site. read more

WOW! after reading the other two reviews I'm wondering if we are referring to the same pest control company. $275 for a residential inspection & $275 for a reinspect? I was charged much less for a 4-plex; rates im sure vary depending on infestation. Scheduling and appointments was noted on the other Yelp; They went out of their way to schedule and re-schedule my initial as well as work with an individual unit that had further scheduling issues. I received robocalls that this company will be at my house without my permission as well as unwarranted bills without any explanation or date of services, all which appeared to be a scam. I have not signed any contract with this business. I was frightened by a person coming onto my property without written or verbal permission. This person was calling me with "urgent" messages rudely telling me to give him my code to enter my property further. I called my previous pest control service who I paid in a timely manner and I have all receipts. I was then told that my information was sold to this business. I was not given any notice of this. I have asked for no contact with Clark Pest however they continue to send me bills, 3 so far. I do not owe them money. I find them unprofessional and inconsiderate. read more

Felt like something from the VA hospitals.....double the cost and double the pain. When we spoke to management for help with the problems, with pictures to show the mess, they pretty much said sorry, nothing we can do for you. No discount for the Vets, or the crappy service or the less than pleasant inspector. Said they would clean up what they could, but somehow I doubt they make it out there..... Had Clark out for a wasp problem with them getting in the house. Tech came out with a broken wasp trap,( had to borrow duct tape from us to fix), hung it in the tree, refused to check around a/c unit on roof, charged us $100 and left. Long story short, after a month of talking to several supervisors, no call returns, I'm still trying to get my money back. Just keep getting a run around.
