After spending over $10,000 to re-insulate and seal up our attic crawlspace, we asked Delk for rodent control and specifically help with rats. Delk assured us that all issues were taken care of and outside access for rodents and rats into the house was sealed up. Within a few weeks we had a whole new family of rats and droppings all over our brand new insulation. We have since changed pest control service and in one week the new service has done what Delk could not in three months. BASED OFF INSPECTION MATT came in to do an INSPECTION for bed bugs and he called me the day of my appointment and was able to come in EARLIER than expected! Which is good when you're paranoid and worried about a pest issue ! I originally called in TERMINIX and the person came 2 HOURS LATE . And did a very quick search. I showed him a picture and he glanced and said oh yup that's bed bugs and then told me that he would send me a report . It's been about 5 days and I still have not gotten a report! MATT however was able to send me the REPORT about an hour after he left ! SAME DAY . Turns out I don't have bed bugs , but he was pretty informative and able to answer the questions that I had at that time. He began the inspection with my dad so I wasn't there the whole time . A man called about 2 minutes later was very nice and we set up an appointment for Wednesday between 12-2. He said the technician would text to let me know when to expect him. I took time off work to make sure I was available. At 1:45, I called the company to see if anyone was coming. The woman informed me they had no record of my address or ever calling. She asked if I would like to setup an appt and I said no. That would have been easy business for them that just walked out the door. I read another review that was similar so beware! Delk came highly recommended by my realtor when my husband and I learned of a cockroach infestation at our new rental property. After speaking with Brad on the phone I felt confident that his team would get the job done. Little did I know... It would be an exasperating little journey. After his initial visit, he quoted me $245 for 3 treatments. Reasonable enough. He told me that he would communicate directly with our tenants, and that the 1st & 2nd treatments would be done 2 weeks apart. The 3rd treatment would occur 1 month later. Great, I thought. After the initial treatment, I was emailed my receipt for the full amount. Easy breezy, I thought. Well, 3.5 weeks passed before we talked with our tenants again. That was when we heard that Delk never returned after the initial treatment. What??!! I called up right away and asked to speak with Brad. He didn't have an explanation for me, but connected me with the woman who I assume is their office manager/scheduler. She offered neither an explanation nor an apology of any kind. I was only told that they would schedule the 2nd treatment with our tenants right away. I was confused and definitely a little annoyed. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I thought, "Okay, maybe this was just a mix-up of some sort, and now that they are aware of it, the next 2 treatments will proceed as planned". Wrong again. I had to call them back AGAIN when we learned that the 3rd treatment was weeks overdue. And AGAIN, I was offered no explanation and no apology. At that point, I was so exasperated that I asked the office manager/scheduler if this was how they handled every job. She responded very nonchalantly that "someone else" (a substitute employee I assume) had written up my work order. REALLY? Is that all I get? How about, a "Wow, we really screwed this up!" How about a "We're so sorry for dropping the ball on this one." How about a "I promise we're really not this incompetent." The good news is that the cockroaches are resting in peace. That's why I gave them 2 stars. But next time I need pest control, I'll look for a service that I don't have to micro-manage. UPDATE: About 1 week after posting this review, I received a surprise phone call from Robbie, Delk's manager. He apologized for the way the job was handled, explained that their temporary employee had failed to schedule both follow-up treatments along with the initial treatment, and thanked me for my feedback. He even offered me a discount if I decide to give Delk another chance in the future. Thank you, Robbie. I very much appreciate your effort in following-up with me. Judging from the other reviews, my realtor's initial recommendation, and your follow-up, it sounds like my experience was very unusual. read more

I called Delk about a rat problem we had. They came out with three rat traps that I could have bought at any store for $10. They charge $200 to essentially hand me $10 in traps and say "Do it yourself." They refused to crawl into the side of the attic where the rats were nesting. Instead they would only place them within a few feet of the door. I told them the rats were not in that area but he said he would not crawl to the area they were. So, he placed the rats traps by the door and came back a week later. Surprise, surprise the traps caught nothing. He put bait on the traps and tried again (still leaving the traps in the same useless place.) He came out the next week and, of course, caught nothing. I said it wasn't doing any good to put the traps by the door because the rats weren't over there. He said if we wanted the traps on the other side of the house I'd have to do it myself. This was not a remote, inaccessible part of the attic. It would just require crawling in your knees instead of just walking over and setting them down. As most modern attics require crawling on your knees to get into them, I imagine they have to crawl around in attics from time to time and I don't think I was asking for the moon here. Several weeks, $200 and Delk caught a grand total of 0 rats. Waste of money. If you have a rodent problem go to someone else. read more
