This was a quick carry out grab for my son to celebrate his swim meet efforts that day- the food was delish and ready on time. Wish we could have stayed and pulled up a seat so mama could have a cocktail!! Cool place! read more

The burger was perfectly done with a lot of flavor and on a yummy brioche bun. I liked the fries but they have slices of pretty raw garlic so I scraped those off so the flavor was there but I wasn't biting into large chunks of garlic. Service was fast. So good. I got the Harvest burger which was a seasonal special. It had apples and honey mayo (I think)- whatever was on it was delicious and awesome. Also got a small order of plain fries (small is pretty big) to try some dipping sauces. Omg. The sauces!!! So good. I tried the truffle mayo, Memes dill dip and curry ketchup. All heavenly. Pleasantly surprised by the curry ketchup (I hate regular ketchup) and it was so good and so flavorful. I will be back to try some poutine and a boozy milk shake! read more

Nice juicy flavorful hamburgers and alcohol milkshakes. A favorite when headed to the Senator Theater. Food delivered to you!

I ordered for pick up and it was ready within 5 minutes so I rushed over to pick up my order. The food wasn't hot. They had put it to the side on a window sil. My burger wasn't made to order and my fries were overcooked. I will stick with Burger Bros in Towson. Fresh hot and great. read more

This is my absolute favorite burger place in Baltimore. I have gone here probably once or twice a month for the best year and always get the wake n' bacon burger. I hate runny eggs and always ask for them well done. They always get my order right and I've never had an issue. This is the BEST burger place in Baltimore, friendly service and great burgers! Will continue to go to Clark burger!! read more

Did you guys change the recipe for the poutine gravy and they type of cheese??? I returned the other day after about a year to get some poutine and it tasted like you guys are cutting some corners. Just wondering... read more

Just a regular burger place. They try to market as being Canadian and I'm sure they do their best but as a Canadian myself I was pretty unimpressed. Their "cheese curds" just seem to be sharp cheddar sliced up and they don't even serve Canadian beer. The other thing is that they have very few vegetarian options. They have a veggie burger that isn't great. Overall it's alright if you just want a burger but nothing special. I won't be back. read more

This is THE place to go to get real Canadian poutine and an incredibly juicy poutine burger! I cannot rave about this place enough, I went here last night and although it is a relatively small restaurant the food speaks volumes! The menu is pretty extensive and although I've only tried the one item, it was to die for! The burger was perfectly cooked, extremely juicy and perfectly seasoned! I got the Mountie burger which is basically a poutine inside of a burger! Imagine a burger with fries, cheese curds and gravy... Incredible I ordered the Poutine that came with the fried egg (I'm a sucker) and some kind of mustard aioli - I scrapped the bacon, but if thats your thing then go for it. Being from Canada, I can say that it definitely compares to real Canadian poutine - the gravy and the cheese curds were on point, and the mustard aioli really took it to another level! I highly recommend you go to this place, I know I will definitely be back! If nothing else go here for the poutine! And then maybe catch a movie next-door... I recommend Deadpool! read more

I got the Expo burger and it was very disappointing. It has potential but the brisket was probably the worst brisket I've ever had. It seems like it was cooked quickly in an oven then finished on a flat top. The problem with this is, it make the brisket so tough and chewy. I would rather they not even offer brisket as a topping. I hope to try them again and have much better results. Other wise I'll try one of the may burger places that close by. read more

The second you walk in the restaurant, a giddy little voice in the back of your head will start singing their tagline of "poutine & burgers & beer, oh my" and your happy, stuffed belly will be saying the same thing after you finish eating. Since this was our first time here, we decided to stick with the basics. A Clark Burger for me, the Wake N Bacon for my husband and an order of The Classique poutine to share. The burgers were juicy and flavorful and had that awesome crust from being cooked on a flat top. Each one was piled high with toppings between nicely toasted brioche buns. My husband felt there was a tad too much Sriracha aioli on his but I had no complaints. As for the poutine, wow. Their fries were thick cut and perfectly cooked. The gravy was also thick and flavorful and in ample amounts. The one thing I would suggest is to let the poutine sit for a good 30 second so the temperature of the cheese curds can come up a bit so they're nice and gooey. Note: Be prepared to get messy. The burgers drip and ooze and the poutine is smothered in gravy. Roll up your sleeves, have a stack of napkins nearby and enjoy! read more

Poutine in Baltimore? I hope this is good! So I ordered the "wake n bacon" and a small poutine. Then to take home to hungry ones, the same but the frere jacques poutine (full sized order). The take out gets the gravy on the side so things don't get soggy. The hamburger was, as advertized, well-done and juicy. Given all the add-ons, well done was not a problem (most well done is merely done, not well, and tasteless if not chewey). The egg was over easy and runny, so the meal was messy. Of course, I think the word "poutine" may mean "messy" at some level, as it is the Québecois slang for "mess." It is a good mess, at that. Even though it was nearing closing time, service was still quick, polite, and friendly. A customer came in, asked about being open, and the counter person said they were seven minutes from closing, that they would be welcome to be seated, though carry-out was best, and did ask that he order soon. This was done so deftly that the customer expressed pleasure at ordering the meal to go. I think he then sat at the bar and had a beer while waiting. Any way, this is a charming, no nonsense, focused-menu eatery with a special, if messy, hook. Prices are reasonable for Baltimore, too. Eat well, tip well. read more

I had heard of poutine so many times and I heard Clark Burger has the best one in the Baltimore area so I decided to check it out. When I got my classique poutine, I was not disappointed!!. Got the alouette poutine, clark burger, and the wake and bacon! Poutine was perfect. Super crunchy fries and good ratio of everything. Which is when your fries are coated perfectly, nothing gets soggy, and you don't need extra ketchup or sauce. The burgers were good (not too oily like many places) but the patties were on the dry side. Probably just what happens when you have thin patties or press on them while they're on the grill. Service can be a little slow, but I think it's worth it! read more

We came here after seeing it was ranked in the top 100 places to eat in Baltimire. We found street parking easily thankfully and the restaurant itself wasn't that busy during lunch on a Friday. We ordered at the counter and seated ourselves. Our food came out hot and looking amazing! My gringo burger came as described on the menu; it was tasty but I found it slightly dry and not all that exciting. The Philly fries had a nice pepper, cheese, and steak topping. They were good but I prefer my fries crisp so I'd probably opt for regular or garlic fries next time. read more

It is a decent burger (although pricey at over $6 for a 1/3 lb. burger), but you are really going for the poutine. Obscene amounts of "squeaky" cheese blobs and a delicious gravy with hints of black pepper. I want to try other varities of the fries, but the pull of the original always lures me back in. Let me preface my review by saying that I am getting over a minor cold. Tonight my husband and I decided to try Clarks Burgers. I went with the Clark Burger, large garlic frites and a union craft pale ale. I winded up removing the purple onions, pickles and bacon from the burger because it became very salty in my mouth. I had my husband try those items and he admitted to me that nothing was salty so it may have been my taste buds. The union craft pale ale was okay. It had a weird aftertaste so we are not fans of that beer! read more

What stands out most to me about this place is the fries. While I'm no expert at what authentic poutine should taste like, I do enjoy it. Fries are thinly cut and crispy and the gravy is generously poured over. One serving of this is plenty on its own as a meal. If poutine is not for you, I highly recommend the garlic fries. The portions are huge - enough for at least 2 people to share - and the fries are thoroughly covered in shredded Parmesan and minced garlic. The fries are plenty flavorful enough without the truffle mayo that comes along with it. And usually, my breath stinks of garlic afterward - I'm not complaining. The burgers are solid and all under $8. I typically get the Clark Burger. It's a decent size (1/3 pound patty), but don't expect some sort of monstrous size burger that you might find at some of those more fancy sit down burger joints. From my experience, the burgers here are less on the saucy side - I feel like they want you to appreciate the meat and not overpower it. Take note that the burgers do not come with fries - you need to purchase those separately. read more

These burgers are going In 'top 5 burger joints' list for sure. The place isn't much to look at from the outside. But when you go in, it's a completely different story. Even though it's a small place, it has personality and the staff is very professional. I heard about this place from a friend of mine, decided next time I was in Baltimore to drop by. So, I did, and I'm glad that I did. The burgers are phenomenal. I also tried their poutine, that was amazing as well. And this is coming from a guy who's not a fan of it at all traditionally. I have yet to find a place in the area that has burgers this good. Not only that, but service is great and the staff does a good job on keeping the place clean and making room for new customers to keep traffic flowing through the place. I honestly don't have a single gripe about the place. And I'm definitely making sure that I leave make another trip here before I leave this area. read more

We got the Wake N Bacon burger and garlic fries to share, and that was definitely more than enough food for the 2 of us for lunch. This is a cute little burger place, with lots of ways to make your own special burger. I came here after tons of local friends said I have to try the best burger in town. Maybe I had my expectations set too high.. The food is good, the service is great. The people are very friendly and it seems like a cute place. I can totally see myself coming back some day when I'm in the area and feeling like a burger. But I don't think I'll be making any outrageous effort to go out of my way and come here when the burger craving hits. Cute local spot. ----------------------------------- Explanation of my rating system - 5*: Epitome of something, the best I've had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great food and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Food is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either. 2*: If you insist, I guess I'll come along. I'll find something to eat. But I wouldn't have picked it. 1*: No plans to come back. I'll try to talk companions out of going. read more

REAL POUTINE!!! I fell in love with this dish during visits to Canada. Not to be confused with fries cheese and gravy. It has to have cheese curds. Aka squeaky cheese. And Clark Burger has it. The burgers were also very good. With a good selection of toppings. And they have a bar which serves "boozy shakes" amongst others. I was also impressed by the fridge full of local beers. Union. Brewers Art. Heavy Seas. Right next door to the Senator Theatre. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Cozy and small local burger joint. I really liked the inside and outside, and staffs were nice. Not many tables and seats so I imagine it could get really crowded. Parking may be hard unless they have one in the back. My burger was pretty good. The bun was actually small so one point I gave up and started using knife and fork. The patty was little dry and tough for me. Maybe I should have requested how to cook the meat. It did not look like being made from scratch but I could be wrong. It's still decent burger and I enjoyed it. I would stop by again if I would be in the area but not sure if I would make special trip up there. read more

Solid visit! I ordered for takeout. It's a quaint and pleasant place. Easy to miss (I rode by it -- though I was surprise that it's located where it is as I'd like to think I have been in the area numerous time). From the outside it looks rinky-dink. Swift service, though the cashier could've been a bit nicer. I ordered the plain burger (not the official name) with a small fry. As far as burgers go, pretty tasty and hardy size. Prices were fair. I'll be back. read more

Recently gave this place a try since we were in the area. We ordered two burgers: the Wake N Bacon (since I'm a sucker for a fried egg on a burger) and the eponymous burger, classic poutine, and a chocolate shake. The burgers were very good, on the level of Five Guys or Shake Shack, but the poutine was definitely the star of the meal. Well cooked, crispy fries, real cheese curds, tasty gravy - it all came together perfectly and it was a healthy (haha) portion for the two of us. The chocolate shake was unfortunately nothing special, basically vanilla soft serve with a simple chocolate syrup. Maybe we'll try one of the more interesting boozy shakes next time. The place was popping when we went but the counter order system moved fast and friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. Overall a great experience and we'll be back for more delish poutine! read more

Fries are kinda gross but the burger was very good. Drinks are strong and cheap. Server was working hard y'all better tip!

Best burger in town, nice folks, excellent poutine. Food and drink from here can go in the movie theater next door with you!

The food was excellent. I'm Canadian and the poutine was divine. It was legitimate poutine. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was tasty. The toppings were fresh. They had cold craft beer, but.... Tabernac! they didn't have Canadian beer. Well they had some craft Belgian white ale from Quebec, but no molsons, no Kokanee, no sleemans, no Alexander Keith's, no Steam whistle, nothing. I would have accepted moosehead. Also all their beer is in cans which is the most uncanadian thing ever. I would recommend this place for great food and hockey on the tv. If you are a Canadian far away from home missing the sweet nectar in a 341ml bottle you'll be disappointed. read more

My first poutine. :) as I have nothing to compare it to, it was delicious! I imagine even with something to compare it to I would still find it delicious. My dining partners were more experienced with poutine so now I know to mix up the fries and gravy when I get them so the curds get a little melty. The Clark Burger was Wonderful!! I loved the CB sauce on it. My friend got the Frère Jacques poutine, and it looked amazing. I definitely need to go back and try the garlic frites, to see if they really are frites, and to try the Wake & Bacon Burger. Also, I slept for two hours immediately following eating there, so maybe go after the movies, not before. Only downside is there is no slow time, and seating is scarce. read more

Great food. Perfect place for a good burger joint - right next to The Senator theater and across the street from Belvedere Market in Towson. Burgers were great. I never had a bad burger from Clark Burger. I ordered from Clark Burger multiple times (turkey burger specifically) for myself and my team. The burgers are cook to perfection, never overcooked. The homemade sauces take it over the top and is truly the secret ingredient. I would only prefer the fries to be a bit more crispy. read more

Very disappointing burger and poutine. The burger tasted completely unseasoned and flavorless, dense with blackened bottom. The crispy onions were a gross blob with the breading tasted burned. I ordered the Frere Jacques poutine that has bacon pieces and a fried egg too, but the poutine itself wasn't very good. I'm used to dark beef gravy on poutine but this was some light, floury gravy I almost want to say for turkey, and the fries themselves were too soft to work. Fries should have a little crispiness, but even before the gravy soaked in these fries were too soft and starchy, potato flavor too strong. No salt and the cheese curds didn't have any bite either. The place was clean and had large windows, and a TV on one side. The Nanaimo Bar dessert was very tasty. But the star should be the poutine and to make a decent burger and ClarkBurger couldn't deliver on either of those. read more

Mr and Mrs Clark must have sold their souls to Satan for that burger recipe. that burger was like the beef of a beautiful cow, that made friends, made enemies, tried to fit in, but ultimately learned in the end, that it was different, it wasn't like the others, it was meant to be put in between two gorgeous buns and be consumed by humans. The fries... there was something about them that changed me, for the better. Please do not get me started on the milkshake, it was mental. It was like the breast milk of Mother Nature carefully crafted into a milkshake. They must have a priest bless the milkshakes before they serve them or something in a similar nature. The staff was just like that old show cheers, Ive never seen it but I assume they were similar. I just wish after that first bite, that I could get on one knee and propose to mr Clark, because he had made me the happiest man in the world. We need more great men like him. read more
