Been meaning to try this place for quite some time, was stopping by to see a movie at the Senator and had a hour to kill before my movie. Decided to keep it simple with the classic burger and a Stella Artois. The burger was cooked to perfection and the toppings were really fresh. Went here for a friend's bday. Didn't get a burger, sadly, but did have some local beer and poutine. The poutine was amazing. I mean, fries and gravy with cheese is hard to fuck up, but they went above and beyond...and the amount of choices they have kinda makes it hard to order. They have a bunch of local beer, including Key Brewery, and it's reasonably priced. Staff is helpful. Too busy to find a table on a Friday night without waiting, like any good place. The burger meat patty is consistently flavorful and juicy. They offer very creative and BOLD choices in special burgers. My favorite thing about this burger joint is the Brioche bread. When I am feeling adventurous and not the traditional burger this is the place. My favorite side are the crab fries which are delicious. Yum! Okay, this is our new favorite burger place. My wife actually found this on Yelp. First impression of the place was how did I miss this place, it's right next to The Senator. I ordered the Gringo burger which comes with lots of shredded lettuce reminiscent of a Big Mac and just the right amount of guacamole. The bun was soft and buttery and the meat tasted fresh and juicy, not much seasoning but that's okay. I shared my large fries which is big enough to share with three people. Fries were addictive. I would say even better than Five Guys. The place is cute and they even have a bar to order drinks. There's not much seating so on a cold day be sure to visit at an odd hour like we did. As many Yelpers have already noted, this Clark Burger location is right next to the Senator Theater and across the street from The Market at Belvedere Square. One thing to point out is since it's close to the intersection of York Road and Northern Parkway, lots of buses stop here and there are definitely sketchy individuals around the area, especially at night. Beware of your safety and your surroundings. The burgers here are definitely better than the ones at the fast food places and Five Guys. Reasonably priced for this type of establishment and the employees were friendly. All burgers are cooked to well done (no other options) and they do have a full bar which also serves alcohol-infused shakes. I ordered the Original Burger ($6.25 pre-tax) which comes with 1 patty and lettuce and tomato. Cheese is 50 cents extra. Adding another patty is $2.50. It was just a good, simple burger. The beef was seasoned well. I also got the Gringo burger ($7.30 pre-tax) which comes with lots of shredded lettuce (not a fan, I prefer leafy lettuce) and just the right amount of guacamole. The bun was soft and buttery, semi-resembling a brioche bun. The only negative to the place is the lack of seating and even the space inside the store to form a line. It is a very small joint. Was craving a thick juicy burger. I knew I didn't want a fast food type burger so I checked my bookmarks and found Clark Burger, it was only about 15min drive away so I decided to give it a go. I got the baconator and asked to make it a double. It was a bacon burger with bacon aioli, smoked bacon and bacon coleslaw. The burger arrived about 3mins after ordering it and I'm glad I ordered a double because the Patty was kinda think, definitely not the tick and juicy I was hoping for. There was no bacon coleslaw to be found, not sure if this was an oversight or if they were just out. The burger itself was ok but not what I was hoping for. It was a pretty standard burger, maybe slightly above fast food level. I also ordered the large garlic fries to share. Those were ok but not great. We definitely didn't need a large because they were pretty greasy and I got tired of them pretty quickly. All in all I don't quite think it was worth it. Between the two burgers, fries and drink I think we spent about $35. If you're starving and just want a burger it's a good option but if you're looking for something substantially better than fast food this probably won't do it for you. read more

I've been experiencing "Clark Envy" for a while, when I would see people hanging out and enjoying what looked like delicious haute burger cuisine. My honey and I finally made it but passed on the burgers for the decadent fries. She went simple with the standard issue model but I opted for the porky poutine. Her's were fresh, hot, crispy and delicious but they couldn't hold a candle to mine. The poutine was blanketed in rich gravy, bacon and melty, gooey cheese curds. In a word, amazing! I think their burgers are really authentic and carefully made. The store is in an interesting location right next to the movie theater which makes it great for a before or after movie snack. I think it's a bit over priced and over hyped Becca eita seen as a "high class burger joint" and they play into that. The burgers are cooked really well though and they have inventive toppings.The fries are really not great at all they're super oily and thin and they have an interesting after taste. Superlative fast casual burger joint. Located literally right next to the Senator Theater, this place is perfect for a solid nosh prior to or after catching a movie. Ordering is typical fast casual, just step up to the counter and order your grub and the staff will walk it out to your table. The menu is pretty thorough for a burger and fry joint, including numerous specialty burgers and poutine fries with exotic toppings ranging from brisket to sriracha aioli. Bonus, they have a decent selection of canned craft brews and a few local favorites on tap plus full bar for those who want to loosen up. On my trip, I ordered the The Charmer burger (bleu cheese, smoked bacon, minced onion and tiger sauce) and an order of Frere Jacques poutine (bacon, fried egg, roasted garlic chipotle aioli and the normal poutine accompaniments). Service was quick and attentive, as we sat at the bar and they kept my glass of soda topped off throughout the meal. Food turn around time was exceptional as well, taking somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 minutes for it to be served. Overall the food was excellent. The burger holds together extremely well in hand and isn't a hassle to eat. The burgers are cooked well done only, which I would typically complain about, but with the patty being on the thinner side, similar to Five Guys, it plays nicely with the rest of the burger and remains juicy. The poutine was extremely good as well, quite possibly the best poutine in MD (if that's any sort of accolade). Squeeky cheese curds with warm gravy worked well with the unconventional aioli and egg/bacon combo. Portion size was perfect. For a normal table of 2, you could probably get away with sharing a single order of poutine if both got burgers. However for the larger eaters like myself (the 4 to 5 plate Chinese buffet people) a personal poutine order and burger is a must. My only word of advice is to try and time your visits to CB on non peak hours. The place itself is on the small side, and by the time we finished eating in a 30 minute span, the restaurant went from 1 table of people to complete capacity with a line forming out the door. We shared a Classique poutine, which is fires topped with fried curds and gravy, and that gravy was a thick and tasty brown gravy, I do prefer the squishy feeling of curds but the fried stuff is also good. It helps to know that during this time that they are doing takeout and they use an online service for takeout. The process was really easy, you order and they send you a text when it is ready, when you get there just go to the front where there is an opening and they will have your bag ready and waiting for you.
