Amber told me at time of piercing in Feb 2019 to just call and she can swap it out anytime as she does this service for other clients. I always tip as a courtesy. A guy answered the phone and said Amber is there and there is a charge. I had a problem so I did not feel comfortable changing myself at the moment. Although the fee was nominal, I am deducting one star based on original information from the piercer. Amber has good customer service. The change back to the flat back 14kt yellow gold earring caused significant pain level such as initial piercing from the 14kt yellow gold hoop which was purchased somewhere else as not sold at this establishment. Omg and yikes! Problem if the hoop is completely 14kt gold as a problem in the manufacturing since 14kt gold does not tarnish. I found another establishment that solely does piercing and carries a vast selection in products including 14kt and titanium and after a month got a different 14kt gold hoop and 2 other piercings, zero pain surprisingly for all services. Hope this review is helpful based on my experiences, thanks.

The facility was very clean and I felt comfortable there. I was nervous at first to see that there wasn't a private room with another client sitting a few feet away from us, but I quickly became comfortable. We all ended up chatting and I never felt exposed or uncomfortable near anybody. They offered us water, gave us proper cleaning instructions, and truly cared about how we felt while on their facility. Matt T did an amazing job explaining everything step-by-step to both me and my grandma for each turn. The tattoo itself turned out amazing and his design was way better than either of us could have ever imagined. I will definitely be coming back here for more tattoos in the future!

But I did not feel like part of the process despite the preparation and vision, and the heartfelt meaningfulness behind the work. Color was off from the start and the back-and-forth was a bit condescending. It was tiring and did not feel supported so it was discouraging to keep trying to talk with him. The return to update the color was a major fail. The color is improved but getting agreement on it was taxing. And what is most disappointing is that the shape is off now. Instead of soft curves that are critical to the message of the tattoo, it has hard edges. I was very hopeful this second time. But I'm pretty disappointed and hope to find another place that will listen better, and know how to control their line drawings. Maybe it is just a simple line tattoo that meant less interest and commitment. I don't know. But I made it clear how meaningful it was to me and that didn't get me the respect and appropriate attention I deserved. He showed up late, there was no apology, and after he cleaned and prepped my skin, he got into a conversation with another artist while I was sitting there, completely ignoring my presence. I should have trusted my gut and left on the first day, and certainly at the return appt. I met with another artist at a different parlor who confirmed the terrible shape. And he made some suggestions and I felt very heard and understood. I'm looking forward to getting this fixed once it heals enough to do. I recommend you go elsewhere, or at least not go to Jason.

I walked in and let them know about my appointment, I saw them check their book and confirm I was on there. She then told me to check in on the kiosk and pick my color. I followed the woman to a pedicure chair where she informed me that I shouldn't sit there and it was for someone else. About two minutes later, a woman walks in and thanks her for squeezing in an appointment. Wow. She tells me to go speak to the manager. He asks can I wait because there are three other people ahead of me, I said no I really couldn't and that's why I made an appointment. Very, very disappointing experience. Why let me check in for my appointment but then don't service me? Why was another woman with an appointment serviced before me? Why was there no real solution offered except wait for an undisclosed amount of time? I thought people were friendlier down south but clearly the businesses are not. 0/10.

Their shop is in a grocery plaza so parking is plentiful. The inside is spacious and clean, with separate areas for manicures and pedicures. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I am a picky customer and my nail technician Thuy was so patient and communicative working with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. She had such a light hand filing my existing gel off, and a very good eye for shape and symmetry. I came in thinking I would get oval nails as usual, but she suggested almond and thankfully I took her word for it. Some of my nails and fingers are a bit wonky, so I have always feared that something pointier like almond would emphasize the asymmetry. However, she did an amazing job with the shape and I am now an almond convert. Thuy also has a remarkably steady hand, and my cuticles remained spotless with no stray gel streaks to be cleaned up. I opted for a polka dot pattern and she absolutely nailed the spacing. She moved with care to ensure that each dot was round, equidistant, and the same size, erasing and restarting when needed. Sizen nails is currently running a 20% off mani and pedi as of 5/14/26, and the prices are AMAZING. My gel mani with designs on all 10 fingernails was $44. As someone used to California prices, my jaw dropped when she showed me the total. I think I found my nail salon in NC, and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
