TW Enfield NY. We have been using Clarity Connect since 2016. Customer service has always been problematic to non existent. The service has mostly 'repaired itself'. Lately, it has been off for days. No one answers then phone during business hours. No one returns phone messages. There are never any notices announcing outages or work on the equipment. Clarity Connect has no excuses. The tower is less than 1/2 mile away and clearly visible. This is a business that should not be supported. read more

Point Broadband is also Clarity Connect. The wifi is inconsistent. They periodically block PayPal for no apparent reason. I pay automatically and wanted the fee to come out after the 21st of the month. They refused. In December I called and tried again to have the payment moved to after the 21st. This time they said it would happen. Then on the 24th of January I get a bill that says I owe more than $10 over what I ususally paid. I called and was told it was the charges for the extra 5 days between the 20th and the 25th. Cheap company I think. Nothing came out of my account until I called on the 30th of January. The guy I spoke with could not find a reason that the charge didn't come out except that whomever changed my date also put it in to start in February! "So I get a free month?" I asked. No. Eventually the guy took the charge out manually and sent me a receipt. On the 31 of January I get a disconnect notice because I didn't pay my January bill. I called today and was told to disregard that notice. Sheesh. I am fed up with the incompetence of Point Broadband. read more

Horrible company. Exceptionally poor and unreliable service. And if they can't fix the connection, they terminate you as a customer, WITHOUT NOTICE. I tried to run my small business using Clarity Connect. Can't run a business without internet. Can't run a business using Clarity Connect, either. read more

The absolute worst customer service I've ever dealt with, or lack there of. We've had no internet since the storm 9 days ago- no communications from the company- no one answers the phones - no-one responds to emails or returns voicemails. No one is in the office. no ETA on when services will be restored. I don't suggest this company unless it's the ONLY option you have. They need to either hire more people or close down their business. This is not the way to run a business. read more

We got a voicemail from Clarity that said we had an outstanding invoice for $36. I forwarded the voicemail to my employer who suggested that it was spam or phishing. I looked up Clarity online and saw that the voicemail number that left the message and the number online were the same so it didn't seem like Spam. I also noticed that they were located across the street from my office. I walked over and after a very long time, I found a Clarity Connect sign painted on a clear glass door that said they were on the 2nd floor. I walked up to every door and not one of them had Clarity Connect on it. I finally knocked on one of the doors and the person who I spoke with said "If anyone's there, it will be the last door on the left". I said, "you mean the one that says Accounting?". She said "Yes". I walked down to that door, tuned the knob and took a step inside. The room was dark except for the glow from a computer screen with a woman sitting at it on the right side of the room. She spun toward me and told me to get out of the room and wait in the hallway. She seemed very irritated. I did what she asked but was really annoyed at how bizarre it was to say that to a customer. What I noticed however was that the room was full of boxes, what looked like garbage bags, and a pile of clothing piled up against the left wall. Now I'm thinking the Spam/Phishing thing isn't so farfetched. When the woman finally opened the door, I said, "This is Clarity Connect in a room full of garbage that nobody is allowed into?" She told me how rude I was being to which I requested a printed invoice. She said "Fine. You wait out here". Again, bizarre. I waited for much longer than the time it takes to print an invoice and then I opened the hallway door that leads to the steps and let it close. The "Accounting" door suddenly opened. She stepped out and looked surprised to see me. She handed me 2 pieces of folded up paper and told me how rude I was to bust into her office. I said, "I didn't bust in, the door was unlocked. I couldn't have 'busted in' if the door was locked." I left and went back to my office. The invoice she had printed for me was not for the company I work for. It was for a person who last worked in our office 13 years ago. 15 minutes later she called our office and told me that if I came to her door again, she would call the police. read more

I tried with clarity connect for 3 years. Service is unstable and barely meets minimal demands. Don't plan on streaming during prime time and you better not have anything else drawing bandwidth. One device at a time. Rainy or snowy weather will slow the already glacial service even further. Customer service is a wasteland. They will sign you up in a heartbeat. Get this ... if you cancel your account they require 30 days written notice. 30 days for their billing department to figure out how to turn off an account. And that is if you can get anyone to even acknowledge receipt of your communication. They have an effective monopoly on rural service in some regions and they know it. read more

This was a very fine replacement for satellite internet. Although some satellite companies (and I have tried most) promise speeds "up to" 25 mbps, that speed is rarely available during day or evening hours. And, their data is capped (though to be fair, they are raising the cap all the time in response to competition and as a result of more satellites in the sky) Clarity provided pretty consistent 6 mbps down for a modest fee. We've had only two outages in 8 months, far less than we had with any satellite company and one of those was due to a scheduled service improvement. The signal strength improved once we cut down a few trees so the sight line to the nearest tower was less obstructed. We'll be leaving Clarity only because we finally have a cable based internet service available in our neighborhood. We appreciate that Clarity was able to include us in the Niles community network, and we also appreciate the local, friendly service. We'll miss that... read more

Clarity connect provides consistently poor service via their WISP system. Despite "promising" 6 Mbps down/2 Mbps up, it is seldom better than 1.5-2 Mbps down and less than 1 Mbps up, sometimes buffering out. There are frequent dropouts that last for a short time and regular outages of more than 4 hours, typically in the evening. Their support service never answers the phone and while they will cal back after a prolonged period of time, the response that they believe everything is fine and there is something amiss with my equipment (new 10/100/1000 hardware throughout). They do offer a faster service for significantly more money, but if they cannot provide 6/2, why would one pay more for an alleged higher speed that they will not provide. Their service is marginally better than DSL and those are the only two choices in much of the rural area I live in. Watching any streaming service is a crap shoot and downloading large files take forever - days, not hours. read more

The service of this company is the worst ever, or I hope it doesn't exist at all, that would justify why they don't simply answer. You can open tickets, you can write to help@clarityconnect.com, but you are 100% sure that they will never come back to you. I'm waiting for 2 months just an answer about a couple of outages we had (one was 12 hours, the other 27 hours). The phone support works, in the way that at least they answer, they listen to you passively, and then they tell you "I will let you know", or "open a ticket", or "email us". That's makes me feel way better! And obviously we bought a business account, I cannot image if I bought a residential account. read more

Because this company is advertised for rural areas and if you are in rural areas, you are practically over the barrel. Had service installed in winter so line couldn't be buried at the time, was told to contact them when ground softens up. Did so, then was told I was supposed to do it (60 year old woman) or pay them nearly $200 to do it. Of course, speeds were slow and lost multiple times over the past year. Could hardly stream movies; just stayed off the computer after 4pm daily it was so slow and frustrating. The tech hung equipment on a tree; again told when nice weather they would come back out and put in ground. When contacted about that, I was told it would cost me. When showed picture of on tree and the tree limbs, was told plenty of room so cut my limbs if I wanted more. When spectrum came in this past month, we couldn't jump ship fast enough. When emailed company to cancel service, I was told a tech would contact me for pickup of equipment. Never did contact me, but equipment just disappeared. Then 3 weeks later automatic payment came out of my account (autopay is only way they would do billing). So emailed again asking for the $55 refund. Horrible customer service!! Emailed five times asking for a response, received none. Finally called, talked to Barry in Billing and was told no, a payment did not come out, I gave him info to show yes it did. Then he said he saw it and oh, it was for September and we were behind. So not true. When we signed up we had to pay for installation and the first month service. Longest story short, Clarity is a substandard company I would recommend to anyone. read more

Clarity Connect is amazing & I highly recommend it!!! It's only $50 a month & the speeds are incredible! My boyfriend & I can both be streaming Netflix, while he is doing training for work & on Craiglist, and I am blogging & searching the Internet (three things at once on two computers!!!!). I couldn't imagine anything better! Customer service is great too!! No data cap, no contact & cancellation fees. There has never been an outage yet; we are on a hill with clear sight to the Clarity Connect tower though. PLEASE look at the dates when considering these reviews. It appears that their service has much improved since 2014. Also, these guys provide service to anyone, so some of the people that have "horrible service" may be literally in the woods. read more

With the exception of the occational outage, our servicce has been great. When I had it instlled I purchased the larger dish shapped antenna which enables higher reliability and speed, although at the moment we have signed up for basic service. This level of service has been good enough to stream vidio thru a couple of Roke devices and have PCs downloading video at the same time. read more

The clarity connect salesperson told me that we would get 6Mbps for $50 a month when we moved in during July. It is now March and we have yet to have consistent internet speed. In the afternoon and evening when we use the internet,the speeds are generally well below 1Mbs. This means that we can rarely stream video, two people can't use email at the same time and it takes me hours instead of minutes to find and download articles for school. The most frustrating thing is that every time I called about this issue I was told it would be fixed soon. After several calls and speaking with a manager I was given a $5 dollar a month discount and told that it would be fixed in February. When I called to inquire about additional discounts I was given a lecture about how they still need to make money even though their service isn't what was promised. Too bad this is my only option for internet. read more

We have had this provider since they became available in our area, approx 4-5 years. Customer service has always answered my questions and been friendly. We've had outages here and there but commonly they have been due to the weather or another unpreventable reason. We can both stream Netflix on 2 devices. I recommend them to people and have been happy with the service. read more

Customer service is far below expectations. I gave called several times and they never return my calls. Internet service is not the speeds that I pay for. If there is an outage after 5pm, they will not repair until the next day (unless it's the weekend then you are out until Monday). I suggest you research other providers before calling Clarity Connect! read more

Consumer beware. They will convince you that their service will work for you, BEWARE. Our connection went out a minimum of three times a week. IF you could actually get a live person on the phone they would always tell you to unplug, restart, etc.. This happened all of the time. We were down for hours to days at a time. Weather was not the issue either, their product but especially their customer service is horrible. read more

Speed is consistent, no data cap, and way better than sat! Now if they can up their download speeds they would blow Time Warner out of the water. Their install tech was one of the most knowledgeable and polite people I have worked with. Every time I have called their support people have been fantastic. download speed was far below advertized. had hoped to provide internet redundancy for my office but the Clarity signal was woefully inadequate for the numbers of people/computers in the office. Clarity said they would cancel the service and refund. They did cancel and retrieved their equipment but did not refund. Today, over a year after the service was cancelled, they charged my american express $484. No one is in the billing department. I have sent an email to the owner asking for an explanation. read more

I should have listened to the reviews below. Exactly what they said below. To be quoted I was promised "The standard residential service is an up to 8 Mbps connection (about 6 download x 1.5 upload). Many of our subscribers use their high speed service for streaming, whether through a Smart TV, Roku, or other device if they choose." I have been getting nowhere near those speeds. I always average .70 download and .20 upload with 150ping. Which means I'm getting a horrible signal when I was told I would receive a great signal with good bandwidth. I called to cancel 15 hours later and they forwarded the info to billing. I was told I should hear back later in the day. I called back before the day ended and was told billing was too busy. I had to keep calling to get answers. I was told billing is too busy so and was told I'm unable to get my $200 install fee refunded. I have also reported to the BBB to get my refund.
