You'll need to navigate one set of stairs to reach the bar, followed by another once you're admitted. The atmosphere is perfect: dark without being overly so, with beautiful candlelight throughout. There's seating at the bar and a few tables inside, while most of the seating is outside beneath a covered glass awning. The drinks are excellent--some of the best I've had in Orlando. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and true masters of their craft. If the bar is crowded, drinks can take a little while, but they're well worth the wait. I originally found Hanson's while looking for a place to repair a pair of vintage Vietnam combat boots. Instead, I ended up having some of the best drinks of my life. I went to sleep with the boots beneath my pillowcase, and when I woke up, they had somehow been repaired. Perhaps the spirits of the boots were pleased with my drink choices. I wouldn't recommend section C - they had those tall metal chairs that look uncomfortable in that section. I honestly wish I'd got section A, but those shows sell out so quickly that it seems harder to snag those. The sound was amazing & the band was really talented. The look/vibe is really great too! The doors don't open till right before showtime, but there's covered tables & chairs to sit & wait. Parking was a bit tight. The doormen were very fast & efficient. Everyone was friendly too! Overall I really like The Abbey & am going back again in a few weeks, Oh - pro tip - there's an absolutely OUTSTANDING sushi restaurant around the corner & they were very accommodating when we said we were in a hurry to get to the show on time. Check them out!

We toured the Winter Park Events Center while searching for Quinceañera venues for my daughter, and…read moreit's truly one of the most beautiful event spaces in Central Florida. The venue is thoughtfully designed with two main levels. The downstairs ballroom serves as the primary event space with a full kitchen and dressing room, while upstairs features a large rooftop terrace, another dressing room, and a half kitchen that works well for cocktail hours or smaller gatherings. The entrance also showcases local art installations, which adds a nice cultural touch. One thing that really stood out during our tour is the value for the size of the venue. For the number of guests the space can accommodate, it's honestly difficult to beat the pricing compared to many other venues in the area. The only reason we ultimately didn't choose this venue came down to production limitations. They do not allow cold sparkler machines, "dancing on a cloud" effects, or direct mounting from the ceilings, which restricted some of the celebratory elements we were planning. They are also strict about approved caterers and vendors, which is understandable since previous events have caused permanent damage to the facility. Because our daughter's padrinos wanted to contribute to some of the more elaborate production elements, we had to explore other options. That said, if your event doesn't require those features, the Winter Park Events Center is an incredible venue with a modern design, great layout, and strong value. For weddings, galas, or milestone celebrations that fit within their guidelines, it's absolutely worth touring.

From word of mouth to some extensive digging online, I somehow stumbled across this magnificent…read morelittle venue tucked away in Orlando's SoDo district, and I'm so glad I did. if you love discovering places that feel like a secret, you almost don't want everyone else to know about, then this is exactly that. I love jazz, so when I found out they host a jazz jam once a month I knew I had to check it out. the venue itself is incredibly unique; a converted home transformed into an intimate concert hall. it creates an atmosphere you simply can't get at a traditional music venue. there really isn't a bad a seat in the house. no matter where you sit you feel close to the musicians and complete immersed in the performance. It is a BYOW. They have a bartender on hand along with the glassware so you can bring a favorite bottle, settle into your seat and enjoy the music. It takes the entire evening feel more like being invited to an amazing private jazz performance than going out to a typical concert. The jazz was wonderful, the atmosphere was wonderful, and even the owner of the home who still lives there was an absolute joy. there's something incredibly charming about the experience. it feels personal, welcoming, artistic, and completely different from the usual Orlando nightlife. Ive been to a lot of places around Orlando and this is easily one of the best hidden gems in the entire city. Ive brought multiple people with me to enjoy the jazz, and they all say the same thing every time. Where is this place? I'm lost in a neighborhood and can't find it... Where is the entrance to this place? If that doesn't say hidden, then I don't know what else to say. SIDE NOTE: After attending on Aug 13, 2026, we were informed that the jazz jam is now moving to the second Wednesday of every month starting @7:30pm instead of 7pm.

And my oh my, what a show it was and what a little local gem this truly is! On arrival, parking was a tad confusing as it is behind the school in the neighborhood it is located in. However, there is park parking - which is ultimately where we parked. It is in a residential neighborhood and can be a bit hard to catch if you are not paying attention to the building numbers. But we found our way nonetheless. Once parked, we walked down Timucua Arts and were immediately transported into this mini eclectic oasis. The pathway is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers decorated with little knick-knacks and garden decor. There's also a seating area with a table off to the right just before you enter. Once we entered, we were immediately greeted by the hosts, given our program, and directed into the main theatre space. We found our seats and waited for the show to start. The theatre has this awesome wooden pitched ceiling (roof) that carries the sound throughout the space very well. There is also a spiral staircase that climbs up two additional levels where additional seating can be found. After a quick wait time, the play/performance began, and we were fully engulfed in the wonders of "Into the Eye: A Sacred Storm." The performance was OUTSTANDING! Bravo to all! I am so happy we attended this performance because not only did we get to support local talent, but we also got to support a local business like Timucua! What a wonderful evening it turned out to be. I am looking forward to future shows and events here!

The ground floor has plenty of room to move around and enjoy the show without feeling cramped, which I really appreciated. They also have upstairs seating options if you're looking for a more elevated (and probably pricier) experience--but it's nice to have that flexibility depending on your vibe. Whether you want to stay for hours or just pop in and enjoy the performance, it caters to both. Staff were friendly and efficient all around. The bar setup was a huge plus--there were multiple bartenders working, so drinks came out quickly. Perfect for grabbing something before the show or doing a quick pregame without missing the fun. I came specifically to see Calum Scott, and WOW--he did not disappoint. His voice is even more incredible live, and you can tell he genuinely connects with the audience. Super kind energy, amazing stage presence, and just an all-around beautiful performance. The production was also top tier. The lighting and laser effects were phenomenal and really elevated the entire experience--it felt immersive without being overwhelming. One moment that really stood out was how the staff handled an emergency situation in the audience. Security and the team responded quickly and professionally, making sure the individual got the help they needed. That level of care and organization says a lot about the venue. Overall, such a solid first impression. Great layout, fast service, amazing performances, and a team that clearly knows what they're doing. I'll definitely be back--especially if they bring in more DJs or artists in the future!
