Room one on the first floor was a bit more spacious with a settee as well as a separate tub and walk-in shower. Room five was on the top floor up two flights of a curving staircase. Fortunately we discovered if you park around back there is a back door you can load suitcases out from. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Dinner was especially impressive with upscale playing and exquisite entrees and desserts. All the staff we encountered were helpful, patient and kind.

We planned to stay nearby in Glencoe and looked for a restaurant. The internet had little advice to offer but this restaurant came up multiple times with glowing reviews. Silly Goose is located in the Lime Tree Inn and it's pure perfection! We were greeted kindly and welcomed into the cozy dining space. Spacious but very romantic. We started with drinks enjoying local gin and whiskey. My husband got to try the Sassenach that he'd been eyeing! For dinner, we got the ribeye and chicken. We were so impressed with how well these were cooked. So soft and moist! We were too full for dessert but they had a nice menu of options. The restaurant is spectacular and worth the visit if you are in the area. Be sure to make a reservation as they did have to turn folks away!

That makes entry and especially exiting after a shower difficult and dangerous. There are no grab bars for safety. On that basis alone, I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.

Our tour bus along with many others have supported the livelihood of the fine people working in the shop and kitchen. Fish 'n Chip's in the Highlands of Scotland seemed the best option for a rewarding survival of the "Shop & and Female Companions." You place your order with tray in had. It then getting barked to the back and after a short and painless wait - botta bing the piping (no pun intended) hot food is on your tray! You progress to the sweet cashier lady and get reminded that you (me) don't have a beverage. Oops. I quickly I the chilled bottles of lagers and grab an Lemon Shandy. Seating inside and out. It was a beautiful sunning day and no debate was raised on "outside." With sun on my back, extra tarter sauce, and Shandy popped open, it was time to rate the Fish 'n Chip's may last dish on the Cape Cod to the States. No comparison, these Chips were crunchy outside and tender inside. Same applied to the Fish. Crunchy, fresh, and tender. A heavenly treat. Of course, the Shandy, weather, location, and company added greatly to the experience.

Do Not Book here!…read more Premier Inn A very subpar experience at the Fort William, UK Premier Inn locations. The average reviewer described their stay as "really bad," highlighting unhelpful customer service when addressing complaints. Similarly, the London Hammersmith (Ravenscourt Park) Hotel was labeled "the worst Premier Inn in the UK" by a guest who encountered a noisy, dirty room with a urine-stained toilet and thin walls that disrupted sleep. Another guest at the London Gatwick Airport (North Terminal) Hotel expressed disappointment over unfulfilled room preferences and views, indicating a decline in the quality of service for returning customers. Misleading Advertising Practices Premier Inn has been reprimanded for deceptive advertising. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned an ad promoting rooms "from only £35 a night," deeming it misleading due to the limited availability of such rates. Additionally, the chain was compelled to amend claims suggesting that booking early guarantees the best price, following complaints that these assertions were unsubstantiated. Questionable Refund Policies The company's "Good Night Guarantee," which promises refunds for unsatisfactory stays, has been criticized as ineffective. Guests have reported denied refund claims for issues like malfunctioning air conditioning, with the company citing technicalities such as the timing of the complaint. This has led to perceptions that the guarantee is more of a marketing gimmick than a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. Controversial Policy Changes Recent policy changes have further tarnished Premier Inn's image. The introduction of a single-file queuing system at hotel bars, intended to ensure fair service, has been met with customer dissatisfaction. Patrons have compared the experience to queuing at a post office, lamenting the loss of traditional pub atmospheres. Employment Practices and Legal Challenges Premier Inn's parent company, Whitbread, has faced legal challenges and criticism over employment practices. Plans to cut over 200 jobs in Scotland, part of a broader strategy to eliminate over a thousand jobs across the UK, have been met with severe criticism from trade unions. Unite, a prominent trade union, has accused Whitbread of planning these cuts since December 2023 and is threatening to take the company to an employment tribunal for unfair dismissal. In summary, Premier Inn's reputation has been marred by consistent customer complaints, misleading advertising, ineffective refund policies, controversial operational changes, and questionable employment practices. These issues suggest a decline in the quality and reliability that guests might expect from such a prominent hotel chain. Recent Controversies Surrounding Premier Inn - just read any review.
