I am in the Indianapolis airport on a layover on my way to Newark, then over the pond to Belfast, and I have a good 90 minutes to kill. I walked into Artizan, a ladies accessories shop. I was lured by both time, and shelves full of bling. The truth is, the last thing I need is more jewelry. The sales clerk was engaging and high energy, and asked where I was from. When I told her, she quickly informed me that Artizan is a Canadian company, with a location at the Calgary airport. She gave me a brouchure, and dangerously, was telling me that some of the items I was picking up were 50% the already reasonable price. Artizan is full of unique, fashionable ladies accessories. Its like the buyer for this company hand-picked the accessories for me. Almost everything was bang on with my taste. I browsed jewelry, scarves, shoes, headbands, sweaters, cardigans and a unique set of multifunctional wraps, that can be used as ponchos, scarves, cardigans ad shawls. I generally like the merchandise here, but also learned that a lot of the colors here fade extremely in the was (yes, I followed the instructions). Really never put any colors purchased here with anything not of the very same color, unless you're looking to dye a few things. The ladies (now there were 2) were nice enough at the check out. When they asked who helped us, we did let them know that no one could be bothered. I've ordered online from this store many times, because I love their bright colors, unique fits (cinched waist dresses), the variety in their clothing in my size, as well as their online sales, but the in store experience wasn't as appealing. Very few sales, and not much variety. I'll continue with my online shopping experience.
