From the beginning Erica was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. We decided to design my wedding band and Erica was able to provide endless detail and information on which diamonds may be best for us. She presented multiple options for us to be able to make an informed decision. Throughout the design process she printed a 3D model of the ring so we could better visualize what it would look like. While we were in the production stage she kept us up to date on the timeline and ensured all of our questions were answered. The final result was absolutely gorgeous and solidified for us that we would go back to design our wedding bands. We had a very similar experience with our band creation. Erica provided mockups of what the hand engraving would look like so we could better visualize the process. The end result of our bands was even better than we could imagine. Every experience we have had at KCJ has been outstanding. From the high level of customer service to the quick turnarounds with no impact on the end quality, we just could not be more thrilled. Shop claim to fame. The coordinated accessories, which include shoes, jewelry, watches, sunglasses, belts and more, are very nice, but they're not any more attractive than the other accessories throughout the store and a bit pricey for my taste. If I splurge here, I'll take the ultra cool Macintosh-inspired lamps over the pricey-but-average Brighton items any day.

Because of this, it is a bit more interesting than just the boring Brighton collection (which is their main focus, carrying the whole line). A bit expensive, but then again charms do come from Italy, and the jewelry is high quality being hand made sterling silver. The home decor is quite nice, being an art deco (FLW influence) style. But the Brighton does overpower, making me gag a little on all the coordinated, shiny, accessories. If I were re-decorating, this is the place to come to give my place some stylish touches, but otherwise...might just have to pass by next time I'm in Lawrence...

We have sold a few things to this pawn shop, but not again after today…read more My fiance went in here to sell a Cry Baby guitar pedal and a 14k gold pendant. They had to test my necklace to ensure the gold is real. However, he only tested the chain the pendant was attached to (which was a fake gold chain I had grabbed quickly out of my jewelry box to attach to it so we wouldn't lose it). They refused the sale saying the entire necklace saying it was all fake gold. So now, I have a ruined chain with a black spot on the center of it because he didn't test the chain in a hidden area like a clasp, and they weren't supposed to test the chain period because I WAS NOT SELLING THE CHAIN. Then was super rude saying the entire thing was fake and didn't give my fiance a chance to tell him that we weren't selling the chain, and that we knew it was fake. I called to ask why and he said they don't accept pendants without the chain. That's fine, But you need to tell people that BEFORE you RUIN the jewelry they aren't even trying to sell you. THIS PENDANT IS 14K GOLD AND I SOLD IT TO THE NEXT PAWN SHOP FOE $50 DOLLARS BECAUSE THEY TESTED THE APPROPRIATE ITEM! After accusing us of trying to sell a fake necklace, they undercut the price on the Cry Baby even though they were just saying how they sold 3 of them this week. We turned down their low-ball offer because they were so rude and ruined my necklace chain. Do not go here to buy or sell. They low-ball you and then sell your item like it is new.

I always figure that everyone is allowed a bad day so I went back a week later and was treated even worse. I had $2,800 in my pocket but they didn't get a dime. One at a time, I asked to look at two different shotguns and two different pistols. When I asked to see the second pistol the clerk very rudely said, "Are you just here to look or to buy?!" I had only spent 5 minutes of the clerks time and they were not busy at the time. Sorry but I always look at something before I spend hundreds of dollars on it.

We are able to get it appraised by another independent jeweler and take it back and force them to refund our money. We then bought the real diamond from House Of Diamonds. They brought in multiple stones for us to compare. We were able to choose the one that best suited us and they did a beautiful job with the mount and Service. This is the only place I would go to buy jewelry.
