Crate & Barrel - Nice decor

Crate & Barrel is a great place to shop because of their quality products and reasonable pricing…read more(excluding furniture). Every piece they have is quite unique and fits your everyday needs. All the designs are simple, sleek, and in neutral shades, and that's something I truly adore!!! The staff is not very welcoming sometimes..at least that's how I felt but they are usually friendly and polite. Tip - If you're looking to buy a coffee machine, they do offer coffee samples for some machines like Jura or Nespresso. The ground floor has kitchen pots and pans, appliances, cutlery, and dinnerware, while the upstairs floor is more focused on furniture shopping. I have visited this store numerous times and gotten gifts for a lot of friends as well - each one of my friends said that they are of good quality and are long lasting. I'm sure you will enjoy visiting this beautiful, elegant store. 5/5 rating!

The kitchen pieces and furniture are all wonderful looking but customer service was one of the worst. They gave me plates and bowls that I took home and checked the quality after, which half were defective with nicks and bad finish to where you can see the base material. Their policy was that once the sticker is taken off, they can't do anything about it. But instead of being sorry or offering an alternative solution, they just laughed it off and left. Trash. Other than that, the only reason I saved it at 2 stars was the curbside pick up. The gentlemen was really kind and helpful, much better than the rude manager of the store. Price wise, the dinnerware are pretty affordable and decent.

George - Small but adorable dog area

So, I'm not quite sure what a "lifestyle store" is, but I think George supports the type of…read morelifestyle I'd like to live. This fantastic boutique doesn't have a ton of merchandise, but I want all of it. Well, not the ladies clothes, as I'm not a crossdresser. But if I were, I'd be a classy one and probably buy my clothes at George, too. Seriously, this store is nice! I'm impressed in particular by three areas: the pet stuff, their books and their dishes. Their little pet corner is small, but adorable. They had really great chew-toys, leashes, collars and dog bowls. The dog bowls would look fantastic in a modern home, and we plan on getting one of the collars for our pooch once her current one starts looking natty. Their collection of books is incredibly well curated. Lots of great cookbooks, cocktail guides and coffee table books. Also, they have a couple of kids books that certain parents would be way into, if you want your kids learning about CoCo Chanel and the like. Their dishes are all VERY nice (and quite expensive) and if I hung out with a higher tax bracket, I'd be hoping for wedding gifts from here. The store is just really pretty, as well. I was equally impressed with their fixtures and general ambiance as I was their merchandise. I'll be back for sure, as soon as I have some extra funds to spend on making my house look extra fancy.

However, while in the area I decided to stop by since I am in the midst of a kitchen remodel, and I did not like the vibe I received from the woman in the store. I do not believe that she was the proprietor but someone who seemed to have hawkish eyes and a bit of cynical skepticism about her. I do not present myself like the regular provincial type of women from these parts. I am cool and confident and humble (but not in that Mary Kay way, if you know what I mean). It seems that I didn't fit her particular vision of who she wanted in there. B.T.W, I was the only there and am not surprised if this is because others have felt the same. I almost was about to purchase something that I liked but decided that I could definitely find it elsewhere.
