You can buy me the best, say you love me like the rest, But don't think I'm gonna buy the words you say. You can tell me your sweet lies, with those pretty big blue eyes, But don't think I'm gonna give my heart away. You can tell me things untrue, say you want me like you do, And that you'll always be the one that's by my side, But I won't buy it, I'll deny it, cause I know it isn't true, Cause a million times I've heard these lies from you. [Chorus] That you're gonna give your all and do your best, Make me the happiest girl that's ever known a love so true. Tell me that you love me so, and you will never let me go, But I know it isn't so. Cause the best that you can buy, don't you think it's gonna fly, Fly over like the lies I bought before, Cause you can take your stuff, I've had enough, I'll even hold the door, Cause I ain't gonna buy it anymore. [Chorus] That you're gonna give your all and do your best, Make me the happiest girl that's ever known a love so true. Not only did this not happen, I actually enjoyed my time in there the several times I've gone in. I kid you not! Now, I fully admit that I usually would only go into Cottin's because the K would be super enthusiastic about shopping in there and I can't say I share the same enthusiasm, but oh, OK, they have a lot of awesome garden stuff and hello, are those pink flamingoes?!?! There's a lot to love about Cottin's. They rent cotton candy (COTTIN Candy?!) and icee machines. They sell all kinds of tape. They sell a lot of different colored and sized novelty light bulbs. They sell old school Radio Flyer wagons. It feels like it could be 1950 in there, but with a 2010 sensibility. The staff, all young and friendly, rule the school. As Lydia A mentions below, they are part of what makes Cottin's such an enjoyable place to be. A "place to be"?! Yes! It's an experience! Unknown to me, Home Depot arranges for a company named Linn Star Transfer (out of Kansas City) to provide their delivery and installation services for appliances purchased. (They are not employees of Home Depot.) The experience I had with Linn Star Transfer was horrible!!! The drivers are incompetent, lazy and unprofessional. Upon trying to fix the issue and address my concerns as the purchaser of the appliance and installation, the lazy customer service department at Linn Star Transfer was worthless as well. Ultimately, the intended services and product that I purchased was not successfully completed. This had nothing to do with kind salesperson at Home Depot, it was everything about Linn Star Transfer failing to provide the service they were hired to do. That being said, BEWARE of what strangers come to your home to provide installation of products purchased from major box stores. YOU DO NOT ALWAYS RECEIVE WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE PURCHASING. read more

Of course, that's part of how they keep the prices low. For those not familiar, Harbor Freight sells all sorts of tools and such equipment from various countries, usually starting with China then going down the price scale. However, the power tools are of poor quality. They're good for a few uses, but not much. Hand tools, however, are hand tools. Compared to others, this one is a bit bigger. In the back, they have the carts set up to look at, which was the main reason I came in. The narrow aisles and crowded setup is still there, just a lot more items to use up the extra space though. The smell of grease still permeates though the store. Overall, this might be the fanciest Harbor Freight around, although it is still Harbor Freight. I love their products and the store is very cool. It makes me want a farm or at least a horse or rabbit. One time I went to TS to buy rabbit feed for a friend. They only wanted to get rid of me so they could continue doing nothing. I was not a happy camper. Recently, I had to go here again for rabbit feed for my friend. I honestly dreaded the trip to TS. I thought, here we go again and I figured I would be in the store forever, waiting on someone to help me. Much to my surprise, they had improved their customer service. The crotchety customer service guy was not there and people seemed very eager, yeah... eager, to help. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I have never before met anyone at TS who wanted to help a customer. I guess competition from Menards and Orsheln's finally broke them down. I was able to get the rabbit feed for my friend and on my merry way. I had to make a return the next day and I just knew I the magic would be gone. Much to my surprise, the return was very seamless and easy. So glad it went well. I do think their prices are high on some things.
