Here it is over a year later. Still have not had a refund on items returned by them. Jody the manager said we would receive one. They although never came and fixed all the problems that were left from their tile installation. Do not hire them. And not refunding our money for returned merchandise is called theft. read more

So many things! We come here all of the time. Yeah, sometimes you have to actually look for someone to help you. They don't pop out of the aisles like magical retail faeries when they sense you might have a question, but I can always get the help I need eventually. --Side note: you can search for an item on their website and it will tell you which aisle to find it in at the store. Obviously, the array of items available is staggering. They almost always have exactly what I came in for. The store is easy to navigate, it's just huge so sometimes it takes awhile to get around it. They are also great about doing returns without a receipt. My husband looses every receipt he's ever touched so this is a regular issue with us. I shop here ALL the time and will continue to do so as long as there are projects to work on, so... forever. read more

Do not go if you are immunocomprimised!!! I hate that I have to say this but Home Depot does not impose mask wearing on customers. Every time I have been I have seen at least 3 men not wearing any masks and at least 5 more not wearing the it over their nose. It's concerning. read more

You cannot trust Home Depot. I bought their brand of mower Ryobi. After a year and a few months, the mower would not start: A wire to the starter had severed. Yet Home Depot would not cover it under the warranty as they deemed the broken part "owner abuse" and "owner neglect," i.e. doing anything to not have to cover their product under warranty. Store manager said it was better to back store policy, even if that policy is bad and screwed over customers. I cannot stress enough that they are unscrupulous and untrustworthy. They also charged me $33 to assess the problem before saying they would not cover it under the warranty. Now if that is not corrupt. read more

Do not go here. Worst place. Definitely never order anything, terrible costumer service. Have missed delivery multiple times for unknown reasons. Also tried to get carpet installed and they do pretty much the same thing. No one is willing to work with me. Don't go through this, it's terrible. You went here once, bought something you didn't like and instead of working with them you hopped online, got a Yelp account, bitched and never returned. We get here on a regular basis, never have trouble finding someone to help us, and the selections and what they cover are nothing short of staggering. Try flagging down some help in a Lawrence Ace Hardware. I gave up. Need a choice of 500 light bulbs? Why yes, I do, and that weird twine you put in your weed trimmer and a spare gas cap to boot. I like Home Depot. And, gosh, their logo is orange. What's to not like here? Seriously, when we're in serious remodel mode around the house this is the joint. Now if they ONLY had an espresso bar. Dear Home Depot, I purchased carpet from your store in Lawrence, KS. The 72 hour kind. The young gentleman came out and measured my house, you called the day after with the quote for me to make my purchase. There was a computer error and you said you'd call me back. You didn't. Strike 1. I called later that day, got the order corrected and paid for the install. Since it was after 2pm, it pushed the carpet install back a day. Once the crew from GS Floors came out, they noticed that the carpet wasn't cut properly. We figured it out that the Home Depot guy didn't measure properly. Strike 2. The GS Floors guys worked their magic and at least got my bedrooms installed. But the delay has happened. My vacation time is being eaten up. It's costing me. Not giving me a refund of any type on the carpet that didn't get installed on Tuesday is the third strike. Waiving the install fee is an empty gesture. Bringing up the fact that you are graciously not charging me for the extra carpet is insulting. I will not be returning to you for tile for my master bath nor for any other purchase in the future. It's $1200. It's a drop in the bucket. Fix it. It's your personnel that caused this screw up. Here's a thought. You could have given me store credit equal to the cost of the carpet that didn't get installed yesterday. I would have gladly used that for my master bath remodel and praised you. I will do the opposite now. You're losing a loyal customer to Menards. read more

This trip the Home Depot was an absolute abomination. The store wasn't able to accept credit cards and wasn't telling people that until they got to the register. If the person I was with hadn't had a checkbook I would have wasted 30 minutes. It appears that all of Home Depot was having a credit card outage. That is an issue, but waiting until people get to the register to tell people rather than when they enter the store or through an announcement is inexcusable. Then I bought a propane refill and the code didn't work on the automated machine. Spoke with 3 different associates who all said they couldn't help me, but didn't find anyone who could. One said I had to talk to Jeff. He said something to Jeff who then walked away to never be seen again. Worst customer service in the history of ever. read more

Bought doors at HomeDepot. Crew 2 was the designated installer. Crew 2 cancelled the first 3 install dates each on the day of the installation. The first install date was a month after the Special Order doors arrived at HomeDepot and each successive install date was 3-4 weeks after the previously missed one. Crew 2 allowed no priority in scheduling due to previously cancelled installs. I've made two trips to HomeDepot to resolve this issue and a minimum of 10 hours on the phone looking for the installer, finding lost doors and getting rescheduled. Now on my 4th appointment time, spent 30 minutes on hold and could not get an appointment any sooner than a month. Update, 3 more cancellations of install since review was first post 2 weeks ago. Last install date was yesterday when Crew 2 brought out 3 water laden doors that had sat outside in a 4 inch thunderstorm. Needless to say doors ruined. HomeDepot says they have no control over their vendors. Pitiful. read more

bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot in Topeka, was dissatisfied and went to Lawrence store to see what options were available. The Help in the Lawrence store told us that was just too bad, we weren't getting a trade in or any option to return the machines we had purchased. They did everything to dissuade us for any exchange and we left feeling like we'd been treated harshly. Next morning called Home Depot in Topeka, were told to go to the store and they would take care of us. Went back to Topeka store, where they cheerfully helped us pick out a suitable alternative and arranged for other machines to be picked up and the new ones delivered with the kind of help and respect you'd expect from a business trying to earn your business. Lawrence really needs to learn something about customer service. For years I've shopped Topeka for any major purchases because they know how to treat people. read more
