I do want to mention that I came within an hour of closing and I have never felt more welcome to take my time and look around. Amber did a great job of telling me about all the bogo deals, new scents and did her best to help me find something similar to Leaves" since it's a seasonal scent): The display at this store is unmatched! From the Fairytale/Princess theme as soon as you walk in the door, the Men's shop, wellness corner, candle wallwallflowers and hand soaps throughout the store. Everything is well organized and easy to see. I feel like no bath & body works location is the same, could be that they're locally owned or franchised independently? Not entirely sure, but this location never disappoints or misses the mark on advertising. The coupons and free gifts definitely lure me in here, but the new scents to smell and the hunt for my favorites (if they're even in stock) always make it easy to spend an extra 30 minutes in here buying 3 to get 3 free. I see what you are doing here Bath & Body which is why I do my best to wait for the Semi-Annual sale(:

I must be the cleanest person in three counties. I shop here much more than I will ever admit to…read moreadmit to anyone. Soap, body wash, lotion... yep, I am squeaky clean. However, under the definition of Bait-and-Switch there should be a picture of this store. They have outstanding sales and they rely on volume. Lots and lots of volume. Again, I should know. I am at this store a lot. Did I say "volume"? lol. I have had to locate items myself on a few occasions. The other day they were having a Buy 3, Get 3 free. I bought three items but it came within a gift set they had thrown together in a cellophane wrapper and tied with a ribbon. The item was priced as if I purchased the three items separately. They refused, however, to allow me the BOGO. The store in Lawrence is small. It is difficult to get around sometimes because of the size. The aisles are not large and during their heavy shopping times, navigating this store is very difficult. They renovated a few years ago but, dang, they did not make this place any bigger. The service from the staff is inconsistent. I have had AMAZING service here and I have had non-existent service here. More than once I have entered the store and no one has said one word of greeting to me but they will greet the person that comes into the store next. Kinda hurts my feelings. I do not look like a sorority girl. I am not blonde, blue eyed and I don't carry a Michael Kors bag. I have noticed that those customers get more attention at times but, perhaps, it is my imagination. Other times, I am treated like the Belle of the Ball. For the most part, the customer service is great. They constantly change their product line, save for a few staples. This allows for new fragrances and items to pique your interest. The downside is that if you find a scent you love, be prepared to never find it again. I understand that from a marketing perspective but it does get frustrating. I have no problems with the products and use them everyday. The scented hand sanitizers are my favorite. The prices are good and you do get some great bargains here. Buy three and get three free? You cannot beat that price anywhere. The only thing I want from them is more consistent customer service. Otherwise, great place to get your girly on.

I have two experiences with Bed Mart…read more My first experience was in 2009 where I purchased a new mattress and headboard. The employees were helpful, though I was also put off by the trash talking that was geared towards PayLess Furniture. This experience went off without a hitch, fast delivery, fast set up of my new furniture. No problems whatsoever! I still have the mattress and headboard and they're still fantastic. My second experience was in 2011. My partner and I wished to purchase a new bed. My old mattress was great, but we wanted something even better! We dealt with one salesman who was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and at the perfect level of being helpful without being pushy or overbearing. He knew exactly when to walk away and when to come back and chat with us again. He was great! However, we weren't ready to purchase that day because we wished to check around at other furniture places to make comparable prices and quality checklists. He gave us a short list of prices on the mattress, headboard and frame and we went on our way quite happy with the experience. We came back another time and we were fully committed to purchase everything. Sadly, the mattress we wanted was sold out, but the salesguy said they might be able to order another one. The woman who works there jumped in and said that was NOT possible and all that was left was the floor model. She then took over and wrote down a quote--the mattress was the same price as our last visit but this time it was for the floor model. I said this wasn't good enough, I expected a discount on floor models but the woman would not budge an inch. She said she paid full price for the mattress, lowered the price, and if she sold it for less than the quote she gave me she'd lose money. To add further insult to her refusal to negotiate, she also informed us the price labeled on the headboard we were interested in was wrong and it should have been $50 more expensive. I'm not sure how that's my problem, the price is clearly marked on the furniture itself so if it's wrong you shouldn't turn around and try to make me pay for your mistake. However, I doubt the labeled price has changed since my visit. If you plan to go to Bed Mart, don't speak to the older lady (the boss?) who works there. If it hadn't been for her terrible behavior--which I would describe as dirty car salesperson tactics, then we would have walked out with a new bed and headboard set. The other salesman did absolutely nothing wrong and if they work on commission then it's unfortunate that the woman cost him a sale.

My name is Tom King, 69 years old, from Lawrence, KS. I have purchased all my electronics from Best…read moreBuy since the mid-1980s. On Friday, April 25, I went to the store at 2020 W. 31st Street in Lawrence to buy a new phone. Johnathan was my salesperson. I needed an unlocked phone, Verizon-compatible. I'm a senior on a tight budget and he recommended a BLU G54 128GB for $119.99. I also purchased a one-year warranty for $29.99, and paid $39.99 for the data transfer from my 11-year old Motorola phone, also purchased at Best Buy. The total sale was $207.73. Johnathan transferred the SIM card to the new phone. The data transfer took 3.5 hours but I was still unable to connect to Verizon for service. I went to the BLU website that evening to verify that the G54 is compatible with Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, Cricket and others. The BLU website confirmed that. The carrier specs on the G54 page on your website omit Verizon but include ATT. I was very clear with Johnathan that I was a Verizon customer and he assured me that the BLU G54 was Verizon-compatible. I returned the next day and talked with Zac. Very helpful and knowledgeable. He contacted a Verizon technician who verified that my account was in good standing, and that he recognized the device but couldn't connect me to service. Zac tried several possible solutions without result, eventually concluding the phone might be a dud. He replaced the phone, transferred the SIM and the data, but the result was the same. Zac advised me to go to the Verizon store. At the Verizon store, they told me the phone was an unsupported device. They tried two different SIM cards without resolution. The next morning I went to ATT, my Internet carrier. After another hour of trouble-shooting, they too found that the G54 was an unsupported device. As I had been without a phone for four days, I purchased an ATT phone and am now able to call and text. This morning, April 28, I went back to Best Buy to return the BLU G54. I dealt with Jared, the manager. He insisted the phone was compatible with Verizon and ATT when it clearly wasn't. His talk was accusing. He first tried to refund me $163.99 against the original sale of $207.73. When I disputed the restocking fee, he said, "My salespeople spent a lot of time on you and those guys don't work for free." This statement was witnessed by an employee in training. He also told me not to "try to avoid the restocking fee" in the future. After more grumbling, he refunded the full amount. The refund has yet to be deposited in my account. I've been a loyal Best Buy customer for over 40 years. I was planning to replace my MacBook Pro with a new Air this month, but after my encounter with Jared, I'll buy direct from Apple for the first time. I'm glad to see that Best Buy is doing so well that it can afford to discard lifelong customers. You sold me a phone based on compatibility with major carriers, particularly Verizon. Both Verizon and ATT declared the phone incompatible. Isn't that fraud?

I stood in front of a sales person for about 5 minutes who was at a computer. No, "I'll be right with you." No eye contact. No nothing. Completely ignored. Other sales people were chatting with each other but offering no assistance. I sat in the parking lot and ordered all the things I needed off Amazon. And while I'm not happy with Amazon these days and would rather avoid using the service, It was so much easier to purchase through them to avoid the frustration of poor customer service.
