We have purchased a number of things from Eagle's Rest. The staff are so helpful. And the furniture there is really fabulous. You really do get what you pay for! We recently bought a Stressless (that's the brand) couch, and I love the comfort and the way it looks in my place, and the speed with which it was delivered. A few years ago, we bought a bed there, which they delivered and assembled. Free! Then, unexpectedly, we moved about four months later. This was a very difficult bed to put together, but they came BACK and re-assembled it! And that bed was a life-changer. Eagles' Rest is the best. About a year ago my partner Katie and I bought two organic pillows (shredded talalay) from Diane. We've been totally satisfied. Four months ago we went and bought another pillow and additional casings (the pillows are so stuffed we took three pillows and made four). Last month we went big and bought a king size Savvy Rest bed (Medium-Soft-Soft all talalay both sides), a Savvy Rest pillow top, a woolsie top, a set of Coyuchi organic cotton jersey sheets, and I think that's it...Wow! What a great bed. Not only do we feel good knowing our bed and bedding is free of toxins, but the bed is a total dream to sleep on. So comfortable! It's silent (no springs) and just the perfect amount of softness where the bed hugs us (in a good way) while we snooze. The hardest part is getting out of it. Diane was totally helpful through the whole process. We're so satisfied. We plan on buying more furniture here in the future. We made the platform bed frame ourselves which was not too painful and turned out pretty well. I am now the very happy owner of a latex mattress bed from Eagle's Rest. Yes the bed is the most comfortable one I have ever tried, but more than that it has helped reduce my morning back pain. My poor husband has been sleeping on the floor for the past two years. Now that our queen sized bed is custom made for firmness on his side (and softer for me) we get to sleep side by side again. My favorite part of shopping at Eagle's Rest is the staff is far more interested in my comfort than making a sale. I doubt there are many retail businesses that can demonstrate that level of genuine consideration. Next project will be finding the perfect chair. We simply love our new Savvy Rest mattress. We got to choose our softness levels and it works great! Our back and neck pain from our last boxed mattress went away after one night's sleep. I have fibromyalgia and chronic neck pain - bone spurs in my neck. I was to the point where I would stay up most of the night rather than go to bed because I knew the pain would keep me up anyway. I could never get comfortable. I recently bought a Savvy Rest mattress from Eagles' Rest and it has made all of the difference in the world. Diane spent a lot of time customizing my Dunlop mattress so it was the perfect softness for me. I also bought a couple of shredded latex pillows which have done wonders for my neck. Like the mattresses, the pillows are customizable. They come very full and I was able to remove exactly the right amount of filling to give my neck the support it needs. Now instead of staying up, I can't wait to go to bed! I had no idea a mattress could make such a difference in my life. I bought my latex mattress at Eagles Rest about 4-5 weeks ago. I wanted a natural bed after sleeping on a temperpedic & smelling those chemicals all those years. She rushed them through testing mattress options that they needed more time with. My mom bought a savvy rest mattress years ago and loves it, so when I went to visit her, I ended up buying one, too. In the past, we have bought "good mattresses", but we start rolling to the middle about year six. Back ache follows and we buy another mattress. It's a vicious cycle. The first night we slept on our new Savvy Rest mattress, our backache was gone in the morning. No more rolling. The mattresses is an absolute dream. Quiet, organic, natural. Dust mites can't live in it. It keeps me cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It will be the last mattress I ever buy. Although more expensive than some other mattresses, I wish I had invested in it years ago. Kristin was especially helpful in determining what layers of Dunlop and Talalay foam were the best for me. Even better, we chose a split mattress so that my husband could have his side more firm and mine more soft. Staff is exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. A true pleasure to shop there. read more

When the time came for a new mattress, I went straight to the Eagle's Rest location in Mission, KS (home store in Lawrence, KS). The owner, Diane Gercke, was very knowledgeable and helped me select a customized latex bed. She let me try different combinations of soft/medium/firm layers of latex and also helped me choose between Dunlop and Talalay latex. I also tried different pillowtops and highly recommend the Savvy Rest Natural Full "Woolsy" Wool Pillowtop. I also got the Kapok body pillow which helps back alignment and a latex pillow. Diane couldn't have been more helpful and her associate, Cary, provided great service with his white glove delivery and bed setup. The bed is super comfortable and I rest easy knowing I am not inhaling any offgassing that is common with foam beds. I highly recommend Eagle's Rest if you are in the market for a latex bed.
