This is one of the most fun stores in town to just browse through. I always end up finding a few…read morethings I just can't live without. This place has everything from indoor/outdoor furnishings, tools, and decorations. They have a little bit of everything and their prices usually seem to beat the big chain stores like Ace Hardware. You can also get your fishing and hunting licenses here as well as all your camping/hunting gear. Bargain Depot is like a discount life store, meaning, you can get a good deal on supplies for every part of your daily life from cooking to crafting and more. This store is a little cluttered, however, so come prepared to look around for a while, or just ask for assistance from the staff to save some time.

I agreed to buy the tile near $250 worth with Store clerk stating that I can return any unused tile for a refund NOT A STORE CREDIT A REFUND. Because there was signs on the door, counter, receipt, & throughout the store I kept questioning the policy he said no no you can bring it back with no worries any unused portion. Okay I decided to buy choose not to use any of it next day took the tile back because we changed our minds. The owner refused a refund although the kid that was working there told me otherwise the kid said I may get into trouble for this but, I will honor it. Why would he say it if he'd get into trouble? Anyways in the mist of refunding the store owner stopped the refund. NO REFUND AS PROMISED INSTEAD A STORE CREDIT! What is this? Why would I ever buy from a place that honor the customer is always right or even better the kid that said it said started the refund and owner stopped it the kid knew he was in the wrong. I told the owner that I will be filling a complaint with the BBB and blasting him online his response was go ahead store policy is store no matter what my sales rep said in front of 3 witnesses.

Has been open for several months now and this is my first time getting there. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the location exactly. It's off the major road in Lawrence( Iowa st), but it's sort of hidden. You have to really look for it because it sits next to Five Below and Hobby Lobby and if you're not looking for it you'll pass right by it. Not to mention traffic through there is completely congested because of the McDonald's across the way. That being said, there is ample parking and the signage looks good. When you get inside the thing I love the most is how well lit it is. You immediately feel yourself come to life as you walk in. For example I arrived on a very rainy day and I was already feeling drowsy and sleepy, but as I walked in those lights woke me up and I found myself rejuvenated and interested to walk throughout the store and see what they had. So the lighting is wonderful. The items that they have available are pretty cute and unique, however it's not enough. I thought the building was bigger than what I seen. The store looks very small inside, but they do have cute items and the prices are okay... not great, but okay. Will I come here again? If I can't get to athome in Olathe, then I will definitely be stopping here to pick up a thing or two. It's worth the trip

Really, Hobbs has all their bases covered with witty books, useless cool must-haves like nose cups (when you drink it looks like you have a funny nose) or flasks hidden inside a diary book, and of course, clothes. The women's section featuring styles modeled after Paris Hilton and the guy's much more cool and metro. They even have a baby section, with onesie's from American Apparel and and Paul Frank. Quirky and cute, this place is fun to browse. If you have a younger sibling that's high school or college age, I'm sure there's something you can pick up for them. Otherwise, shop with an open mind and you'll crack yourself up trying not to laugh out loud.

Well, actually it is, because it's full of cool stuff. Think gift shop + art shop + boutique curio, and maybe that *starts* to describe the space. There are plenty of keepsakes, art supplies, and gift ideas that will run your tab up very quickly. It's all good stuff, mind you, but it's almost like they should have an "I'll take one of everything package". The front of the store is mostly boutique-ish and has a small up and downstairs. You can find gifts for just about anyone, and this is the kind of place where you can stuff stockings or get something unique for that special someone. If you need ideas, then ask one of the staff who are always willing to help. If you need specifics in the art department, then there is a station in the back to help you with various items such as paper types or other supplies. The unique nature of some of the items leads to perhaps some higher prices, but the value is spot on. You're finding gifts, not clipping coupons, so enjoy and shop a little. For everything that you think might be marked a little high, just remind yourself that you probably aren't going to find that in very many other places. And that's the fun of shopping: just browsing when you have the time and maybe the resources, looking at things that you didn't know you were going to find, and in this case, helping a great small business thrive.
