What an incredible plant store! One of the best ive ever been too! So many ways to keep your plants growing and ways to pot them too. There's books on how to raise the plants too and it just keeps up with the changing seasons. This store was full of people on a rainy day. Very helpful and friendly staff. Large selection of everything you can think of.

LOVE THIS PLANT STORE!! im sad i dont just live there lolol. they have an amazing selection of plants and the workers know exactly how to care for them all, and give you all the tips. they even pot the plant for you! i got this new zz plant and im super excited to see it grow! plants with a pot are expensive that's really just how it is anywhere, definitely worth it!

Beautiful curated plant shop right off of Mass. They have a great mix of house plants with a price range of about $4 to $200. They repot plants for a small fee. I got a 6" San Pedro Cactus repotted in a classic terracotta plant for less than $45. They have cool books and knick knacks too. Great service and super knowledgeable staff.

It might look like Little Shop of Horrors, but it's a little shop of awesome!

I love specialty stores and Jungle House is just that! My thumb is fairly green, and I love outfitting my home with an array of houseplants and succulents to add that living touch. In full disclosure, I do have a couple of fake ficus trees, but those are never the focus (ha! The ficus isn't the focus!) but potted varieties are all over the house. Jungle House specializes in house plants, not shrubs and landscape options, though you could probably schlep a Norfolk Pine or schefflera out to the patio in warm months. From the virtually unkillable Mother-in-Law's Tongue to 'spider' plants, mosses, cacti, aloe, jade, and other succulents, this place has a fabulous selection. Are decorative plants your preference? There are plenty of low maintenance air plants and decorative holders to trick out your home. Did you know that certain plants can help 'clean' the air of your home? Google it and find out the top 10 or most popular species and I guarantee that you can find them at Jungle House. Prices are reasonable (these are generally a combination of plant plus container, and add in labor to pot them) and the presentation is super-welcoming! Throw in a friendly and knowledgeable staff and you have a winning small, specialty business near the Art District of Lawrence. You can park near Decade (great coffee, BTW) and walk the few steps to Jungle House's entrance. Give it a try!

This gem literally brings life to Lawrence! All of the different plants and flowers they provide along with assortment of pots and saucers. The staff are very knowledgeable about the flowers and plants, they will even pot them for you after purchase if you want. Fellas this place is a go to if you would like to buy something special for any lady in your life regardless of relation! If she likes plants she will love anything from here and there's something for everyone. I will definitely be coming back to get a few things to add to my plant family. I just got a few pots for some plants I have in water at the moment and they said if I brought it back in they will still pot it for me. How kind! Definitely worth every star.

The advertisements featured the owners and the local feel. It showed the inventory of the store and how it was all laid out. I was intrigued and had to stop by on my next opportunity. Mothers Day provided me the perfect chance to visit this quaint establishment. They were very busy but they still gave me personal service and helped me with my purchases. I was able to pick out the perfect gift for a dear friend of mine. Don't be fooled by the outside of this store. It is HUGE! There are several greenhouses stocked to the brim with all sorts of different plants. They have invested quite a great deal of time and effort into inventory. Rows upon rows of beautiful plants and flowers. In addition to the greenhouses, there is a sprawling area in back of the store stocked with more flowers and plants. The inventory is not limited to the outside area and the greenhouses, either. The inside store is filled with beautiful plants. They have a large variety of succulents and other varieties of plants. In addition to plants, they have pots, plant coasters, fertilizers, watering devices, seeds, gardening tools and so much more. There is so much it is a bit overwhelming, in fact. The prices are a wee bit higher than you would pay at a Big Box store. However, it is worth a few extra dollars for personalized service and greater selection. Have you ever tried to get help at a Big Box garden store? It's non-existent and the selection of products is poor. The staff was great. They were chatty without being annoying and super helpful. I had no clue what I wanted to buy but they directed me to the perfect item. I never had to wander around the premises looking for help. They were front row and center there helping people. This store also has a playground to keep the kids entertained while the parents shop. Great idea! They provide carts for your big purchases because its so much easier to carry with the carts. This store is easily accessible and they have plenty of parking. There were no problems finding space even though they were super crowded. I have been back several times since my Mothers Day stop and I have received the same service quality each time. One of the most unique features of this store is there are flowers planted on the roof. Yep, the roof is lined with flowering pots welcoming the customers. Great shop.

They wanted me to waste more of my time when they could easily honor that lower price. Of course I complained and another 10 min went by, he finally said he would honor the lower price. When I was checking out he scanned the soil and to his surprise the soil was 29.99. He wasted my time arguing over a price that was the their price. I bought over 150 in soil, no-one offered to help load or even opec the door when I left. F this guy will not be going back. I'll buy from Amazon next time. Earl may is extremely over priced. I have driven by this store a million times over the years but never had reason to stop in. I sure am glad my friend was going rabbit shopping because this store is a gem. You take a step back in time when you enter the doors. It is like an old timey feed store that makes you wish for simpler times. Trust me, though, there is nothing simple about this store. They care so much stick and inventory that it is overwhelming. I did not know where to start with the shelves stacked so high. They seemed to have a little of everything for any kind of farm animal you can imagine. There was horse feed, dog leashes, at collars, bird baths and that is just the surface. I asked the proprietor for help and he knew exactly what to get for my friend. He asked Just the right questions. He was patient and humorous with me. I could tell he knew exactly what I needed. He sacked up some feed and sent me on my merry way. While I was in the store I noticed this man knew people by name. They came in and he had their usual orders ready to go. Very nice. It is heartwarming these stores are still around. Highly recommend this store for your animal or gardening needs. It's pretty amazing and you don't even have to have a rabbit to get great service.

Not only did this not happen, I actually enjoyed my time in there the several times I've gone in. I kid you not! Now, I fully admit that I usually would only go into Cottin's because the K would be super enthusiastic about shopping in there and I can't say I share the same enthusiasm, but oh, OK, they have a lot of awesome garden stuff and hello, are those pink flamingoes?!?! There's a lot to love about Cottin's. They rent cotton candy (COTTIN Candy?!) and icee machines. They sell all kinds of tape. They sell a lot of different colored and sized novelty light bulbs. They sell old school Radio Flyer wagons. It feels like it could be 1950 in there, but with a 2010 sensibility. The staff, all young and friendly, rule the school. As Lydia A mentions below, they are part of what makes Cottin's such an enjoyable place to be. A "place to be"?! Yes! It's an experience!
