I feel like a horrible plant parent as I haven't been able to restore the soil for almost 2 years. Since my plants were in desperate need of being revitalized I wanted to steer away from Walmart, Lowe's or even Home Depot soil. I've purchased from all of these stores previously and I've been having an even bigger issue with gnats lately. Cadence welcomed me in and asked what she could help with, Matt teamed up with her when I mentioned the gnat issue and both offered various options. We lucked out by just so happening to come on a Family Fun Day! My daughter and I enjoyed snacks, painting pumpkins, and discovering new things I can use to save my plants at home. The customer service was genuine, thorough, warm and consistent; I don't think a customer could ask for more. Just the service alone makes me want to continue coming back, but the products suggested are also speaking for themselves. Now my plants are happy, I made memories with my mini and I know exactly where to go whenever my plants need something. Excited to watch them all flourish in their new soil!

I went to the Bonner Springs Grass Pad location and the girl working the register I asked why no one could answer the phone when apparantly there were 3 workers including her not doing anything but standing at the register. Her smart ass reply was we are short handed, well it didn't look that way to me when no one (3 employees) was doing anything but standing at the register. The other issue is that the girl was really a smart ass won't be back cause I asked why I couldn't use my discount for being a veteran and her reply is that there was already a discount for a 50lb bag of Heat Wave. You also have raised the prices since I bought grass seed there and in the last 2 years I looked and her smart ass said they hadn't not true at all. Due to her smart ass remarks I won't be back, I was in a time crunch for my landscaper to lay seed so I bought it but I won't be back anymore I will go to somewhere else for my grass seed from now on. Note that parking can be a challenge, but find a space and take in the peaceful atmosphere in the greenhouse. If you're going down into the farm because you want the experience of cutting down your own tree, make sure to bring your own saw! The farm area is a pretty big and open field with lots of spaced out trees. It wasn't overwhelming at all, and they had lots of different sizes. When you go in to pay they have complimentary hot cocoa and hot cider, as well as wreaths to purchase if you want.

However, they do have some pre-cut Frasier Firs for sell. They also have all the supplies you will need to cut down and haul the perfect Christmas tree, free of charge. There is even free hot chocolate and cider and handmade wreaths available for purchase. Midland Holiday Pines is open 10am to 5pm the day after Thanksgiving, then every weekend until Christmas, 10am-5pm.

I almost forgot to look & almost placed the order w/ more than 1 store & a few ship to home stuff. Ordering online does have benefits cause I don't need to go into the store especially during the pandemic. There are some items that aren't stocked at some stores. I guess that it depends on demand & if the purchaser for that store deems it cost effective to stock it there. I did find several items I wanted wasn't stocked at the Shawnee store, but they did have a good substitutes that was in stock. They have secured check out on their website or you can pay thru PayPal. I like to pay thru PayPal since they deal with any issues you have with a purchase. After the purchase is made & you select curbside pick up, they send you an email confirmation of the order. Once they pulled your order they send another email confirming what items have been pulled & that they're ready for pick up. I went to the designated area for curbside pick up & by using the app I checked in informing them I'm here, which stall # I'm in, the style of car (sedan, truck, etc.), and color of car. It takes a little while (this time was about 10 mins) for them to bring out my order. The guy was polite & helped me load my stuff in my car. Pretty easy & less stress than going into the store & roaming around lookin for the stuff you need. Everything was completely locked up so we had to find someone to unlock the cage to get it out. We also purchased various other items on our visit. During our visit, we only had one associate asked us if we needed assistance. My husband also used the restroom at the store and he said the men's restroom was a disaster. The store was generally orderly and well stocked. My husband went up to the customer service center to ask a question and the associate said that he could check us out as well. The customer service center at that time we went, was staffed by what seem to be very young people or almost teenagers who were very unprofessional. They were too worried about impressing one another and flirting. It was difficult to even keep them on task with a various people that were at customer service. There was a man returning lumber and he had quite a bit of it but a variety of types in sizes. The girl asked him how many he had instead of counting it and he said a number that seemed way higher than what he was bringing back. She should've taken the time to count the different types of lumber instead of trying to talk to her associate the whole time. Also, my husband had to keep the young man that was doing our checkout on point. He was so busy trying to impress the female that he did didn't even press certain buttons while we were waiting there. Very unprofessional. The older Associates were better who thanked us for our purchase when we were leaving. The value for our items was similar to Lowe's prices.
