I was at JC collections today and I have been going here for years. They have two locations. I…read moretypically will stroll up and down the aisles, looking for whatever pieces call my name. Today, one of the employees made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had my headphones on, and I was walking up and down the isles, looking for earrings for a trip coming up, and the employee came up and took my baskets stating I was not able to carry my basket around , I was a little confused since I had been there years with no issues. I typically don't pay attention to the employees when I'm there, but then I realized they were following me around like a hawk. Which I get it to an extent, but I wasn't doing anything suspicious I typically walk in the center of the isles and just look at everything. I only touched stuff if it's something I'm potentially interested in. No big bag I had a small fanny pack. What made it worse was that then I watched other people walking around with their baskets being able to freely shop. Maybe because I keep my headphones on and just look for what I'm looking for, but they felt a certain way. I don't go in corners of the stores or anything. I just go there to shop. Like I said, I have been going here for most of my adult life. I felt super uncomfortable and yucky after that. I will not be returning. Most of the items here are targeted for women along with kids and they do have a great selection of stores with variety in the back. Two levels of shopping but a lot of the main stuff is on the first floor and for guys, you can actually find some cool things especially when you go to the custom T-shirts or if you're looking for stuff that ranges from watches, perfume, sunglasses, or any of the other knick-knacks. If it's clothing for men it's probably going to be custom embroidered shirts or the ones with the dazzle but one thing for sure, you will get your big jewelry on here if you want, but an elegant way. Whether you're looking for sorority-fraternity, girlfriend theme shirts or a party shirt with a statement, this could be your place as I managed to get a few custom print shirts for just under $20. I picked out my design and the color of shirt and the location of where I wanted it and I am definitely happy with the quality of everything. A lot of the stuff on the 2nd floor was closed when we came and after about 30-40 minutes it all looked the same. Would like the see the stores shake it up a bit and be different but I get it and knew what to expect.

You have to find some nearby street parking and walk over. I had a perm bracelet from another place that needed to be shortened. I sent an email inquiry to ask if they provide this service before going there (I've gone to another place where they refused to work on anything that wasn't purchased from them so I wanted to be sure before heading out of my way). The email reply confirmed that they do provide this and that it would be $15. I made an appointment online and selected what I needed done. The website showed that it would only be $10 for a single loop and that it required pre-payment. So I paid and headed to my appointment. When I arrived, I told them I was here to have my bracelet shortened and the lady working there told me it would cost $25. I explained that I made an appt and pre-paid it already. She replied that it was just the deposit, not the total cost of the service. It was not clear during the booking that it was a deposit only but fine (maybe it would have been obvious if I had selected something way more expensive and being charged $10 instead). This was fine since the deposit gets applied at the end anyway. I also explained that I have an email reply saying it would cost $15 so I don't know where the $25 came from. She hesitantly agreed that she would only charge me $15 instead. I paid for the $5 difference at the end of the appointment. The inconsistency in the pricing (with additional confusion on appt deposit) is frustrating. I like having a clear idea of what I'm paying without any surprises. The work itself was fine. She clipped off my bracelet, took the old loop off, clipped off the extra length and zapped a new loop on. I'm happy with the end result.
