I came a couple weeks ago and I had a great experience! I came after I got out of school around 2pm to see if they had any walk-ins available and they did not so I made an appointment with the help of Daisy. She was very nice and helped me pick out a new piercing for one of my healed helix piercings. I had my actual piercing appointment at 5pm with Jo and she was soo helpful!! I got a daith and another helix piercing. Jo gave me a stress ball to squeeze whenever it was time to start. I have never had a daith before and I was nervous but she was talking me through everything she was doing and counted down before she pierced me. I actually didn't feel the daith at all and only felt discomfort when she was putting the jewelry on and removing the guide needle. Other than that, I was all good to go in like 10 minutes! The helix didn't hurt at all either. She was very thorough and efficient in piercing me. I definitely would come back again! **2 hour update** I will say after about 2 hours of being at home post-piercing I did not know that my daith would bleed like crazy LOL I was freaking out a bit because I was not warned about this but granted, everyone is different. I was able to control the bleeding after letting it dry up but I had to sleep on a towel for a little bit to catch the blood. It was definitely a surprise to see this happen because this never happened with any of my other piercings but the bleeding stopped after a few hours. I did post a picture of when it was bleeding to when I got my ear all cleaned up in case someone was going through the same thing! I believe this was completely normal because of the placement but it could also just be me too lol read more

do not go here. I paid $160 for 2 piercings and i got keloids. I've had 7 other separate piercings and i've NEVER gotten a keloid in my life. it's ridiculous. You pay for a service and my ear is almost BOTCHED! I've waiting over 3 months for them to heal and they never stopped hurting and I didn't even get to change my jewelry before I had to take one of the two out. I honestly didn't have high expectations as most piercing studios have a lot of the same style and standard hoops and studs. But WOW their stuff is so cute I literally had to stop myself from buying more than a set. They have a good amount of options of styles for different parts of the ear and different options for silver and gold, plated being what I went with so I could shower with them. I will say it's a bit pricey which is expected with jewelry especially of a better quality. It's also supposed to last so I know it's worth it just hurt my eyes to see the price lol. So don't go in thinking you can get something low-ish prices unless small and plain. BUT they had some good deals around Christmas and I expect they do these little deals year round so try to catch them!! The staff were very welcoming and nice and I got a good vibe from the place. The aesthetic of course is super cute inside and we got a bunch of little freebie things like stickers in our bag and I thought it was so cute!!! I came here on a whim with my sister (we had just had lunch in Rice Village and walked by the store). Both of us were looking to get our helixes pierced. We walked in, signed up for the waitlist, and picked out our studs. The actual shop is super cute and well merchandised, and there were lots of options to choose from. I settled on a 14Kt gold stud, but they do have other metal options as well. There was barely any wait, so after about 5-10 minutes we were called in. Absolutely LOVED my experience at Studs Rice Village! I came with a group of 8 on a Thursday afternoon/evening since we all decided to get appointments the same day. We didn't book a private event since it would've costed $500 to have the space and the minimum spend amount for the group would've been $2000, which would've been too much for me and my fellow grad students who came with me. Long story short, we are all VERY happy with our piercings (some of us got rooks, daiths, snakebites, stacked lobes, conch, and others)! I got two piercings on one ear: one rook and one flat. I could choose the jewelry I wanted for the flat but the rook had only one option (titanium barbell). I got a 3-stone pavé stud for my flat. My piercer was Tina, who did such an amazing job with my ear and the final product is gorgeous! Tina is very experienced and was very good about making the experience quick and easy. We pierced the rook first, then the flat. I knew the rook was going to hurt, but I really overestimated the pain; it wasn't too bad! (But everyone has a different pain tolerance so keep that in mind.) Tina also made sure that my conch piercing was adequately healed before she started the piercing! I appreciated the attentiveness. Also, ask about their student discount! My whole purchase was $132 before tax and tip. Afterwards we get a cute little pouch with any extra jewelry we buy and some coupons. Walked in the door and was greeted with smiles and quick assistance by 3 behind the counter assistants. We had lots of conversations. They answered all of my questions and gave me information without my asking. TLDR: overall average/good piercing experience with a few hiccups, such as the extreme price and customer service issues. i had my ears pierced by a woman with blue hair, don't remember her name [edit: her name was Tina]. she told me she had 15 years of experience with piercings and i could see that she had a lot, so i felt safe in her hands. The procedure was quick and easy. I only experienced a little bit of pain, but she did her best to make me not feel anything. The only negative things I have to say about the place were the front staff members (we heard them talking bad about us after we went to the back, which is just purely unprofessional and embarrassing for them). The other con to this is the steep price. it was $114 for my piercings AND I GOT THE CHEAPEST OPTIONS. they claim $35 on their website but of course it's not what it seems, as it is $50 if you do two piercings and jewelry starts at $30 each for the tiniest studs ever. if you want something not basic, you'd have to go into the $80 or $120 section, which quickly adds up, especially just for the first piercing jewelry that will not be worn again after the piercing heals! and this subtotal is not even including the after care spray, which they try to sell to you, even though you can get it for half the price at CVS or Walmart. plus, the only jewelry they have is titanium. they claim to have gold but when i asked she said it was only gold-plated and it was titanium underneath...and we all know how that works. no silver options whatsoever. overall, i had a pretty good experience minus some bad customer service and a ridiculously high price tag, but i don't know if i'd go back to get more piercings here. but i cannot complain about the actually piercing service, it was quick and moderately painless so BIG THANK YOU to the kind woman who pierced me; even though she kind of had ab attitude, you could still tell she was very good at her job. date of service: 3/24/2023 staff member: tina read more
