Tina is a piercer there and she is the absolute best. She did my dermal. She took out the one I had previously that was rejected (done by someone else ofc). But my new dermal has lasted way longer than the rejected one and it's healed so nicely. If it wasn't for Tina I'd probably have two scars on my face. She's so kind. Had a great experience here twice, once for getting my piercing taken out (not telling y'all where it is, just know that I couldn't get it out for my MRI) and having a retainer put in. Fantastic experience. Their current process: Park in the lot (ample space as it's in a strip mall). Scan the barcode on their door to check in. Wait for the confirmation to come inside (it comes much faster than you think it will). Show ID and fill out their form on an iPad. Wait in the waiting room. Currently, this is the only way as they are only accepting walk-ins. However, it didn't take too long. Try to come on a weekday afternoon to minimize your wait. Getting pierced can be intimidating and uncomfortable so having a friendly, knowledgeable, and calming piercer is important. Ben was just that. He seemed very experienced and made the whole process as quick and painless as possible. He also appeared very responsible as I overheard him telling other customers that getting 2 simultaneous cartilage piercings on each side is not the best idea (they take a very long time to heal so sleeping will be tough). I got my 4th earlobe hole re-pierced on both sides (it had closed up) but that's a quick heal. It was fast and easy. Also, the receptionist was really friendly and welcoming which is always appreciated as well. Another thing I liked: all jewelry is included with the piercing. For earlobe piercings, they had a large amount of options -- balls in gold, silver, or black, as well as CZ studs. Reasonable prices which are all delineated on their website. I have been to Biolab piercings once back in February of 2024 to get my mantis piercings and I had a great time! I decided to go back to change out my jewelry and I scanned the QR code and walked in. I was greeted by the front of house staff and was told to walk into the piercing room. When I got there I waited around until someone asked me "Can I help you" I then explained what I wanted to get done and the guy was a little rude and said "Well to do anything you have to fill out a waiver and wait in line" and I said I did not know about the waiver but was ushered to this side so I had waited. He then told me , again in a rude tone, that "you have 1 person in front of you" even though I didn't see anyone else on the screen. I sat down and waited but I started to get nervous because I don't like when I am about to get a service done on my body and the person who I assume would be doing it is rude to me from the beginning. Very disappointed and ended up walking out because I felt like I was being treated as if I was inconveniencing them and don't want to pay someone if they are going to be rude to me. read more

I spontaneously decided to get a second piercing around the end of August this year with my friend and I saw that this place was close by! As soon as we arrived, we saw a sign outside with a QR code to join a waitlist. Keep in mind that it was around 5pm on a weekday. We thought it was a little weird but we understood since we have to social distance. We got on the waitlist and it was a 2 hour wait. Oh my.. how many people are getting pierced at 5pm lol Okay, that's fine. So we go out to eat dinner around the area and take our time. We get back and we are finally seen and luckily they let us both go in at the same time. The ladies there are very nice and took care of us and gave us instructions on how to care for our new piercings. I got double second piercings and my friend got a daith piercing. We were very happy with the results and couldn't wait to show off out new piercings. Fast forward to now (~2 months later)- As soon as I got home from getting my piercing in August, I made sure to wash my piercings once a day after I showered with antibacterial soap. I read the instructions provided and did everything I could. I waited 3 weeks to remove the piercings because I wanted to change them out for new ones but as soon as I did, they became infected. They bled and became swollen. I was so confused and pretty sad. I cleaned them up and put the earrings I was provided back in. Now even 2 months post piercing, they get infected every time I take the earrings out. I am not sure if the material of the earrings I was given are giving me an allergic reaction or what but I am not happy with the result :( I think they are brass? I am not sure but now I don't really want to come back here. My first piercings from Claire's never did this so I am not sure what happened. read more

I came here for a helix about 2 years ago. This was my first cartilage piercing so I wasn't entirely educated on the little details that come with piercing aftercare (or even choosing the right spot/jewelry) despite research. My piercer said it was okay for me to start with a hoop (bad idea, should've gone for a stud while it was healing). I was also instructed to clean said hoop with gold soap while "wiggling around" the hoop itself to properly clean it. I did this procedure for months and fully rinsed the piercing off, but I ended up getting a very large irritation bump that did not heal until I finally got new advice from another piercer. I swapped my hoop out for a stud, cleaned with sterile saline solution only, and left it alone until mostly healed. This made the irritation bump go away but ultimately it has been 2 years and my piercing has still not fully healed. I think this is mostly due to the fact that it was pierced in a bad spot, the piercing goes directly over two large veins in my ear which I did not notice until after the metal was in. I asked my piercer, and he said it was fine and somewhat dismissed it. Other than the aftercare instructions and bad piercing placement, it was an otherwise good experience and Id love to consider coming back for another piercing if my helix would ever heal. I do think there was a bit of a lack of proper aftercare and advice given to someone new to body modification that ultimately led to a stressful 2 year long attempt to fix an unhealed and easily irritated piercing, and an avoidance of new jewelry. I have also sent several emails asking for help with said piercing as well as other details, but never got any follow up. read more

When I decided that I wanted new piercings, I searched Yelp for a business that has the most positive RECENT reviews. Biolab was number one. Everyone had nothing but satisfied things to say so I decided to make the trek from the southeast to the northwest. The drive was worth it. The checkin process was quick and easy. I arrived about twenty minutes after they opened and there were only two people ahead of me on the waiting list. I was called inside not even a minute after checking in. Inside I filled out a few forms and sat on the piercing side. Aaron was my piercer and he was fantastic. He was professional and kind, explaining each step and narrating his movements even though he was never out of sight. I felt completely comfortable with him. He made sure his work was perfect and had me check the placement of the markings before he did the piercing. Afterward we talked about after care and he told me to call the shop with any questions. Consulting, cleaning, piercing, etc. It would be nice if the receptionist or tattoo artist that were sitting around doing nothing could help out with some of that to speed things up.
