DO NOOOT go here. It's not worth coming just because of the good deals you might see or the convenience of the shop's location. This business is complete sht and undeserving. I made the mistake of ignoring the horrible reviews many customers have left here. First off, most of us that had a bad experience with the sleezy, man-child of a piercer can collectively agree that this man is VERY unprofessional and disrespectful. Long story short: Came here with my coworkers to get pierced one night, noticed the piercer was very much lacking in customer service, didn't mark me up to ensure that my belly piercing was aligned, and also to mention the piercing experience was PAINFUL. He visibly struggled to pierce me and when he was struggling to get the needle through, he tells me, "your skin is so thick" while wriggling and jabbing the needle thru me. Got home to realize that it was crooked. I came in the next day to get it removed. I asked for a refund and he said they didn't do refunds, but could instead pierce me elsewhere again. I asked to write down my info so he wouldn't forget me and he ensured me that he wouldn't. He also said that I can come in ANYTIME. I took ANYTIME literally and fast forward to my second visit, I decided to get a lobe piercing here bc I was nearby, and to add that they literally owed me one. I went in and asked if he remembered me and he said, "honestly no". I proceeded to tell him about how he told me about their no refund policy but can pierce me anytime. For someone that doesn't remember me, can sure remember adamantly telling me about how I could only redeem it in 2 weeks time. If I had known, I definitely would've gone back in that time span. I wasn't even upset at that fact that he wouldn't let me redeem my piercing, it was at how argumentative he was to me when I simply told him what he had told me back then. Given how he was talking to me, I definitely didn't want his services at that point. I would've understood if he went about the situation differently with professionalism and without lying to my face. His coworker even came out to instigate and laugh at the situation. Okay, so here's a one year update to the helix piercings I got a year ago from this place. Spoiler alert: it's not pretty. After getting these piercings it swelled up a lot and I had a lot of trouble having it heal properly. It didn't get infected or anything but it was quite swollen. This, I believe, is dismissible because it could just be my body rejecting the earrings. Nothing on them, that's natural and it happens. However, once the swelling finally went down months after the original timeline they told me it would take to heal, I took a better look at it. It doesn't look particularly bad from the front but I realized that the back is completely uneven. They pierced holes through random spots throughout the ear and it wasn't the same throughout. It's very apparent when I tie my hair up and you can see how jacked up it is in the back. I'm quite upset because it did cost a good amount and a year of pain and swelling I can't take back. I guess at this point I would just have to take them out and wait another year for it to fully heal before I can try getting them done again correctly. read more

I wish I had read the reviews prior to having any piercing done at Space City. I went in as a walk in on a Friday night to have my nipples repierced. Having had them done twice before I was not unknowledgeable about the process. This is the only time I have had ANY piercing done standing up. The result is that I have barbells that are not straight. The piercer acted like he was in a rush and now I have the poor results. This by far the worst place out of all my 18 piercings. I had my bottom belly button pierced, it was done very wrong. The ring was upside down and it wasn't even my navel pierced it was a my stomach FAT. The scar won't go away and it has been months. I have had another piercer I now trust look at it to tell me everything about it is wrong. Space city ink often posts ads about their "specials" on Instagram. As a somewhat new follower who only started following because a friend of a friend started working there I often saw these posts but never thought to go in since I have a brother who has a shop (granted it's on the other side of town) after hearing about the "friend" leaving I didn't unfollow them because they are close to home and I liked a lot of their stuff they posted (tattoos/piercings). I decided to stop by today for 2 dermals (in ad are at $20 each) the owner proceeds to check me out for a total of $103, knowing that I had mentioned I'm a follower on Instagram and knowing that they are running a special all weekend...granted I did not mention the AD I saw earlier that day because no where on their Instagram did it say mention the AD nor on the posts did it say must mention the ad. After getting home and being very pleased with my piercing and my experience with the piercer (Thank you Big Boy) I was not pleased with the owner who knowingly charged me $103 when they've got a special going on. I decided to send a message via Instagram requesting a refund of $63 ($20 of which I was going to give back to my piercer) and the owner proceeds to tell me she will not refund me because I did not mention the ad and said that "real followers know the rules" she then attempted to change their bio on Instagram with "If you do not mention the ADs they will not be honored) however I took screenshots of all ADs and bio prior to messaging them in case this situation were to arise. Got my first tattoo and a nose piercing from this place and everything went smooth. I asked if there was availability and the lady said between "4:30pm & 5:00pm" so i showed up literally at 5.. paid and filled a form & 5mins later the piercer was ready for me.. which i loved because it was so fast. What took long was to get the tattoo. I think I waited about an hour since the tattoo artist had a client... I wasn't bothered since I wasn't in a hurry and it was my fault for not asking questions. I've previously got a tattoo by an artist who goes by B-Toe who worked with me diligently and took him time to review and carefully considered what I wanted on a color portrait of a celebrity. We looked at several images and agreed upon on that we both liked and would result in a good tattoo. He wasn't in a rush or gave an attitude as to what he wanted its was more of a pleasant conversation and a flow of ideas. Like my previous tattoo by him we went with the Eternal Ink, but with Portrait Colors which provides a realistic flesh tone results for that perfect color portrait like a photo. We agreed on a day and time and he allocated the complete dedication to my piece without distractions and advised that this is a two session tattoo. He completed the most difficult part which is the details of the skin or flesh of the face and will complete the rest of it being the hair and back drop on the second session once it heals to see the effects of the shading. People are shocked, surprised, and excited by the detail and bright colors his work has and it gives good results when someone is dedicated to their craft, takes their time to create a master piece. Tattooing is an art and to get the results you want you have to have the following elements: A good image or idea of what you want. I went for two simple piercings: cartilage and nostril. Originally I went to avoid spending $50 per piercing and I knew they weren't difficult to do. My nose never healed properly and when I went to Texas Body Art to have it looked at and changed, he said it had been pierced with the wrong metal and at the wrong angle. My cartilage was also pierced at an angle so you could see the back end of it sticking out. Don't come here for piercings. read more
