Rick did an amazing job on this piece a few weeks ago and I went back today for another one from him. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and I definitely recommend booking with Rick!

I wanted a tattoo in honor of my grandmother and found a design I liked, they were fast with emailing back and were able to accommodate me on the date requested. Alice did my tattoo and it was exactly what I asked for.

    them using a random gem!!!

First off i wish i could rate this place a zero because it was my friends first time getting a piercing and it was HORRIBLE. When we walked in they made us sign in and sit down... they made us wait 15 minutes. The piercer came to us and asked "do you like these piercings" automatically we thought it was weird because we asked for a nose piercing not a septum and we told that to her for the 3rd time. Next they sat her down and they cleaned it properly until it was time to pierce.. the lady stuck the needle from the inside and she finally got the needle in although it took 5 minutes to get it in... the next 5 minutes was her screwing the top which she DROPPED and she randomly decided to a new gem from a different piercing which looked like a earring... it was huge and slanted and bleeding a lot after we left. There were over 3 people surrounding her while she was getting pierced and i'm more than 100% certain it was her first time ever piercing a nose, she was very shaky and the guy was training as she was piercing... by yelling at her and telling her to go for it. Overall it was a terrible experience, we were trying to give it grace the first 5 minutes but it was just putting my friend in terrible pain. I've gotten my nose pierced multiple times and never experienced this... Please save your money and go somewhere else!! Edit: They tried to guilt trip by texting my friend and telling her it was basically her fault for choosing a small piercing, these people will GASLIGHT you!!! using ai to justify their point

I've had the pleasure of getting my last five tattoos done by Abi at Assassin Tattoo & Piercing, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Abi's attention to detail, professionalism, and creativity really stand out, making each experience better than the last. Every tattoo turned out exactly how I envisioned, and the whole process was comfortable and enjoyable. If you're looking for an artist who delivers amazing work, Abi is definitely the person to go to!

@navei did an amazing job with my tattoo! The area should have been pretty painful but it wasn't too bad at all. She took the time to sit with me and discuss my idea. Couldn't be happier. Definitely will be back again !!

Jack was my artist. He was able to complete my half sleeve better than what i envisioned and he was also able to touch up my dragon the way i wanted to. Great work and will definitely be going back for more tats.

We were walk-ins for a naval piercing, and were seen within minutes. Everyone was very professional, and the studio was clean. Riley kept my daughter at ease by talking to her the entire time and explaining what to expect. My daughter loves her new piercing.

Really happy with my tattoo received from Jack. Two sessions, line work and shading.

When I first reached out to Assasin I got a quick response and was asked to send reference photos so I sent a few over of what I wanted. Before the appointment day my family and I weren't told any pricing which normally isn't the end of the world but there were multiple other red flags as well. When my artist came to take me back i tried to tell him I wanted shading on another tattoo that day (not pictured) and he said 'no English' . I was not aware that the tattoo shop had majority non English speaking artists due to the fact the person myself and my niece was in contact with messaged us back in English and was able to set everything up smoothly. It does make it hard getting something inked on you FOREVER when you're not able to properly communicate things you want, or any changes you need to make. Especially when not being aware of it before hand to plan another way to communicate before getting there and realizing AFTER the deposit was already taken. So I did feel uncomfortable with that but,my designs were simple enough I wasn't worried and their Instagram has great photos/art. I was shown the designs on a tablet before he started and everything looked good. Once I was about to get started I asked pricing and the pricing per hour was a little high in my opinion. I felt my key took waaaay longer to do that it should have (and I personally feel like that was to get more money out of me). But again I knew the pricing and stayed to get the tattoos regardless. Then, after a week during the healing process I noticed my key 'stem' didn't have a solid line outlining it. it just looked like shading was done and some white was thrown in to make it look good for an after picture. I feel like if you're going to charge people $150 an hour the work being done on people FOREVER should be a bit better.. When I went to pay I noticed the price looked a little high so I asked if my deposit was taken out then the girl checks , and I see the price go down with my deposit now applied... I felt it was very unprofessional that I had to ask about my deposit being applied and that it wasn't applied when I went to check out in the first place . Seems like a huge red flag and I wonder how many other clients have been charged extra without their deposits being applied. I also noticed after I left that it was a $13 or so service fee (my guess is to pay with card) Which I feel should have also been mentioned before my card was charged. [Side note :There was also another guy in the room I was in getting tattooed and his artist left at least 3 times for a 10-15 min period. Would take off her gloves , then put the same ones back on when she came back up to continue and I'm not even sure if she communicated to the guy she was leaving for to go down stairs. Seemed a bit unsanitary due to the fact there's no telling what she touched downstairs or if she even washed her hands when she put them back on . ] Unfortunately I'm not even going to bother reaching out to the location to 'fix' my key because one it's a little too far from where i live . But also, feel like as a 'tattoo artist' they should know that overtime the tattoo wasn't going to hold up as well without a solid line. In my opinion the difference is very clear from the reference sent to the tattoo I left with & how it heeled two weeks later. Just a little unsure why the artist didn't add a solid black line.. Although I'm not 'unhappy' with my tattoos, I am disappointed in the location and not 100% satisfied with my experience. (For the owner/manager, no need to respond! Or reach out to me please, I've seen the responses other low reviews have received) Hope this helps someone looking to get a tattoo here in the future. Update , response to owner : Perspective is not a fact. That's your point of view and I have mine. Nowhere did I ever mention in my review that I only got one tattoo. I simply stated I was never told pricing before which was MY fault. My stencil wasn't hard to do since what I was shown was Exactly what I sent in with no adjustments made. I could not have known before getting the tattoo that there would not be a solid line. Due to the fact my artist could not properly communicate with me and tell 'this isn't going to have a solid line' ... And i was shown a design with a line so please do not try to gaslight me like you have many other customers. My reference photo had a solid line and I'm sorry but if your tattoo artists should be able to communicate to me what is being done , not just show a picture of something. The picture I was shown looked good before going on my body .. AGAIN , on me forever. In regards to the other client in the room with his artist reusing the same gloves , I was there and saw her put the same gloves back on when she left the room 2-3 times. Also no mention of the deposit not being applied so where's the 'clear communication' there?

Two koi fish swimming up, a crescent moon, a flower, and other pretty details.

I came here for my second tattoo (photo included somewhere ) but I loved it. The people here were so accommodating with my very indecisive nature and helped me with positioning and whatnot. The seating area was also nice and they also gave me time to cool off (my tat hurt a lot ). I've been wanting this design for a while and it turned out beautifully! Will be back for my third!

    Angela M.

My artist was Jack. He was patient and understanding when working on the custom tattoo design together. During the appointment, he was extremely careful. The image came out beautifully with skillful and precise shading. Jack was very respectful through the whole process and, afterward, was prompt in answering my questions about healing. A master artist. Thank you Jack!

    Jessica L.

After only 2 weeks of getting this tattoo I was unhappy that it faded as badly as it did, to be very honest this faded only a week afterward. I have 3 other tattoos so I am well aware how cautious on caring for them is, but this one was just faded EXTREMELY fast. When contacting the artist they stated this was Normal? After a week? Not satisfied.

The shop itself is clean, well organized, and has that classic tattoo parlor energy without feeling intimidating. You can tell right away that the artists here take pride in both their craft and the experience they create for their clients. We were lucky enough to work with Homer, and he absolutely made the experience. He brought such a fun, lively spirit to the whole process and immediately made us feel comfortable. The conversation flowed easily, the energy was light, and he somehow balanced being entertaining while still being completely focused and professional with his work. Most importantly, his talent speaks for itself. The lines are crisp, the detail is clean, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the quality of what he puts on someone's skin. Not just the details, but his expression... it feels like him is with me. This tattoo means so much to me, and Johnny handled it with so much care and intention. You can tell he really understands how important pieces like this are. Publik Studios is also beautiful--calm, private, and almost spa-like. The whole experience felt peaceful and really special, which made it even more meaningful. I'm so grateful for this piece. I can't stop looking at it!! Thank you Johnny!

The place is kept really clean and Johnny even offered snacks during a break. It's a private studio which is nice because I don't really a big fan of random people popping in while I'm being worked on. 5/5 In depth review of the whole process. Objective: Booking periods happen only so often. I submitted my application with two concept ideas. I received my email October 2nd telling me I was selected for the Feb/Mar cycle. I paid my booking deposit then gave them my availability, they worked with my availability and I was scheduled for March 15th. Once the appointment was confirmed I told them I'm willing to switch appointments if necessary to work around his other clients. My appointment date remained the same but my time was moved to 7am which was nice. Johnny reached out February 16 for a confirmation on the exact design (I kept going back and forth sending in different things) and March 8th I got a courtesy email for my upcoming session. I showed up to the studio and Johnny was finishing up the final design. We talked briefly on the different aspects of shading and line work but I told him that I trusted him because he's the artist and he knows what will probably look best for the final piece. The session was about 6 hours with 3 breaks. Snacks and beverages were provided. The studio itself is open with tall ceilings. It has couches and a long meeting table. The tattoo I got cover parts of my chest, my sternum, some ribs, and my upper abdomen. It was a painful tattoo Subjective: The booking process was really nice and communication from his assistant was nice. I think he got a new assistant sometime after my appointment was confirmed, nothing was wrong with his old assistant but his new one Melanie has a much more welcoming online persona. Her personality in person matches it too. Johnny comes off as a casual laid-back guy. He's nonchalant yet he's very interested in his clients. He gave me a sense of autonomy throughout the whole process. In hindsight I gave him very little to work with and while doing the final touches he was asking me what I liked specifically about the reference pictures. I sent him a couple of pictures of different designs by other artists and it was really nice to know he took them into consideration. I've been to an artist before where I brought in printed references and the artist glimpsed at it then pulled out the sketch he already had before I showed up. While I was being worked on the pain was too much for me to handle in the beginning, given the location and design it's expected to hurt. I asked if I could have a break after the main outline was done and Johnny agreed. I didn't feel any mental resistance from him. He wrapped up the area so I could go outside and get some fresh air. After that I didn't have to ask for breaks, Johnny stopped and gave me two more. I'm not sure how but Johnny knew when I was getting reaching my threshold. Given he's had years of experience I'm sure he's picked up a 6th sense on how to read people. After the main outline was done Johnny stopped and asked how I wanted the rest of the session to play out. I told him I'd prefer to do the top part of my tattoo because I knew the bold lines would hurt more and I personally like having the most painful part of a tattoo done first. Johnny is the first artist to give me that option. Johnny himself as a person is hella cool. During the whole session we didn't talk much which was nice because I just wanted to relax (i'm on spring break from nursing school and my life since august has been studying so I actually don't know how to talk to people anymore lmao). From our conversation Johnny comes off as someone who wants to know his clients. This isn't just another transaction for him. He asked me questions to get to know me but he never pushed me to share. We both shared stories and aspects of lives that were interesting. Melanie went out for a bit and offered to pick something up. Johnny asked if I wanted anything which was really nice and I asked for coffee and a sandwich. When she came back I offered to pay and Johnny told me that he'd pay for it ( johnny is just nice af). This is my opinion but getting a tattoo is only cool after you get it. When I'm getting work done I'm being vulnerable to the public. I'm not a fan of getting work done while random people walk by watching me trying to hold myself together. The whole process is just painful and it sucks. I like this studio because it's just him and his assistance. Overall I had a really great experience. It's only been 4 days but I wake up every morning still in awe at his work. Pros: Johnny is cool Melanie is nice final product is dope snacks privacy Cons: that shit hurted
