I had my ears pierced and upon piercing my left ear, the Claire's worker jerked my left ear hard and because of that, my ear swelled. It was so painful, bleeding and scabbing, that I decided to take off the earring(s). That was not a good experience. Not to mention, I paid for it! ***BE AWARE OF THEIR NON-REFUNDABLE POLICY!!!!! read more

Shopping in Kahala Mall, Honolulu, Hawai'i... There are so many cute things in Claire's! I like to look at the Clearance items in every Claire's that I see... Sometimes, the deals are too good to pass up! I like the plushies, hair accessories, and fun jewelry. Lately, I have been purchasing bracelets to use on Labubus and Lafufus as necklaces! It's an inexpensive addition that adds a bit of charm to each one! The merchandise could be geared for the younger generation, but I've seen things - such as tiaras - that would make a great touch on a costume or... for a birthday celebrant of any age! Service was very friendly and helpful! I'm looking forward to returning... especially for the 75 percent off items! read more

Never get ear pierced here. My 12-year-old had both sides pierced too low because they did it with an upward angle. I asked for redoing it after they got healed up. The lady rudely told us to take off the earrings by ourselves. They never apologized but gave a mean face and comment. I ended up bringing my daughter to Kirakira Piercing. It was a little more expensive, but they did a much more professional job and wonderful customer service. They made my daughter smile. Avoid the gun piercing at Claire's at Kahala! read more

1-13-23 A pre-teen's fun store to shop at. We were taking our sweetie to Kahala Mall before hitting Dave n Busters. This time she asked if we could go to Claire's. Truth be told I've only been in the one at Pearlridge so asked the guy in another store where it was. She was gifted a $50 gift card and had fun selecting the current fad of headbands, chokers and scrunches. She even got a tiara since a special was going on in the store: buy 3 get 3 free for hair and jewelry. I praised her cuz when the cashier rang her up it was $49.02. read more

This is my youngest daughter's favorite store. Every time we go to Kahala mall we have to stop here and Sanrio. We don't always buy something, but she still wants to go in to window shop. They are pricey, so we don't buy often. Recently, they had a huge clearance sale. We ended up buying lots of items discounted 50-75% off. Since my oldest daughter got her ears pierced, we had an additional 20% off. The ear piercing was fast and easy. Around $89 for the 14kt gold earrings. You also get the cleaning solution in that price. You will definitely see us here again. read more

Wanted to get my daughter's ears pierced. My gf referred me to Claires...I never thought of that as a place to go to for anything other than cheap jewelry, but her daughter's ears didn't fall off or turn green. They actually do have 14k jewelry for this purpose so that was already a plus. Made an appt online. Super easy. When we got there watched a girl get hers done. That mom was a little helicopter-ish but the "Piercer" was very professional and helpful. Then our turn. It was great and relatively painless. Seeing my baby get punctured made me cringe, but she took it like a champ so I was happy. Even the hubs was happy and it took me some convincing to get him to agree to do it. Perfect timing cuz we also got a bunch of earrings for our niece's bday. 20% off since we got pierced! And free earring for my daughter for a year! read more

My daughter hates to read and do her homework. So like any good parent, I bribed my daughter with a trip to Claire's to get her to hit her reading goal by the end of the quarter. It's amazing how fast she hits her goals when offered an extrinsic reward! She literally read 15 books this week so she could go to her current favorite store: Claire's! Is Claire's overpriced? Absolutely. Do I care? I used to, but it makes her happy, gives her motivation to get her work done and makes our house a more peaceful place. I'm just happy that I don't have to drive to Ala Moana! This store is small in comparison to their other locations, but it does the job and has all the goodies her 10-year old heart desires. The sales girl was really sweet and helped my daughter find what she wanted. Today we purchased two Née-do-cats (squishy cats filled with dough), a heart shaped pop-it, a new iPhone case and a matching iPod case; all for the price of $37. Worth every penny because I didn't have to scream and nag her to read at all this week! Claire's, take my money and make my daughter into a GENIUS! read more

Do not get your ears pierced here. They are not professionals and will screw it up! My daughter's ears were red and swollen because the posts were too short, making the earring super tight on her earlobes. All the associates there do is take the gun out, mark the spot and shoot... and not straight either! She ended up shooting the needle upward into my daughter's earlobe. What a nightmare! I also asked about the stainless steel options and she told me that they were not as safe as the gold. ??? Since when? I ended up taking my daughter to a professional piercing company to "fix" the damage Claire's did. They had to re-pierce one ear because of the angle! I should've known better. Claire's needs to stick to selling overpriced hair crap and leave the ear piercing alone. read more

I wanted to make all patrons carefully aware that the salesperson's representations at this store are not to be taken as accurate. I don't usually shop here but popped in because I was looking for a hair accessory for a dressy dinner and thought I'd just check it out. I was going to purchase a couple of hair ornaments and when I went to the cashier she mentioned that it was Buy 3 Get 3 free and encouraged me to take advantage. (Mistake!) At that point I thought I could then pick up a couple of other items to see how they worked with my outfit and specifically asked if I could return the items. I was told YES I could. So I proceeded to pick a couple more things to take advantage of the B3G3. I also specifically asked how the free items worked upon a return and was told that the prices were allocated (ok) and then asked how long I had to return them and was told 60 days. I ultimately decided to return a couple of the items shortly after my purchase date because they didn't match my outfit and was told that all sales were final on prom items. WHAT??? The salesperson who initially helped me was standing right there. And when I tried to reiterate what she told me and asked "Dont you remember me? Because I asked you sooo many questions?" And was told Nope. APPALLING! Their attitudes were just awful. There is no signage stating this policy and it does not show up as All Sales Final on the receipt. JUST BEWARE and do not buy anything you are not absolutely sure you want to keep and don't ever believe those salesclerks who really could use a class in proper customer service. read more

This is the SIXTH time coming here in the last year and have been told the credit card system is down and that they only accept cash. Who carries cash anymore in this touchless, sanitary post Covid world? Not me. Unfortunately my daughter really wanted and earned a few fun things for school so I begrudgingly got cash. Never again. I know I told myself never again before but this time was the last. The manager of this location if they're the only ones affected like this where their credit card system is always on the fritz should be replaced. This happens way too frequently. Maybe it's a bigger issue than the store management. Maybe it's corporate, who knows.... But a retail cash only nationwide store in this sanitary Covid woke world won't last for long. read more

Went to Claire's over the weekend to get my 6mo old daughter's ears pierced. We walked in, didn't have an appointment, and it was pretty busy that afternoon. We probably waited 15-20min. My mom held my daughter in her lap while she pierced one ear at a time and she did an amazing job. 5 stars for ear piercing! read more

I think the items in there are over priced. Don't get me wrong, I think their accessories are cute and some are actually fashionable but for the price....I always have to think twice about it. Sometimes I end up not getting it, and sometimes I do end up getting it...and when I do get it...the items breaks so easily...then I think back to myself...well, I got it from Claire's what do I expect! This is the one in Kahala Mall. I don't like how they're really pushy about "offering" a shopping basket. It's so rude and insulting that they're so obviously trying to watch me not steal things. Geez, I'm not freaking 12. As I've been looking at wedding jewelry in different shops (rediculously expensive for faux stuff), Claire's' prom jewelry is looking better and better. People are not going to examine me that closely, are they...? My friend that just got married got her earrings from Claire's. Maybe I should do it. It's just so embarrassing going in there sometimes! I asked if the prom jewelry was going to go on sale after prom season, and the worker said that it never goes on sale. Okie-dokie. $14 still is better than $150... read more

Hey Cynthia, spot on with your review. I walked in wearing my military uniform and was treated like a skebe. The worker, the mom's and tweeners in there thought I was a groper or a predator. I was looking for pink hair extension thingies for my daughter's birthday party. "I want mermaid hair!" It's her birthday, Daddy provides. Kinda pricey for crap "hecho en Mexico". I think next time I go in the Kahala Claire's I will wear shades and my Hannah Montana shirt, at least people moved out of my way in the store. I can't wait until my daughter sends me to Wet Seal, I think they keep a bat under their register. I need to take her with me next time! read more

I love that Kahala Mall has a Claire's. There have just been those times where I needed a pair of earrings for a wedding or a finishing touch for one of yelp costumes. Claire's has a little bit of everything. Earrings, necklaces, bags, earring holders, hair clips, suspenders. It's reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. 31 yelps - 10/31 read more

I saw something online and called this store to see if they had it locally. The girl said they did and I asked if she could put it on hold for pick up the next day. She said ok. I went the next day just to pick up the items and there's nothing on hold for me!!! And now some of the items I asked them to hold is no longer available. Ugh! The manager didn't seem to want to assist with the situation before she was leaving the store. Now I need to hunt around for the missing item at another store. They don't do store to store transfers. read more

I really enjoyed the the service I've gotten at Kahala Claire's. I got my daughters ears pierced recently. Tremendous amount of care while piercing my babies ears. They let me hold her and was willing to time my billing with the piercing. Just in case she went crazy in which, would have given me a hard time paying. Awesome service! The two ladies were vary reasonable and precise with each piercing. 5 star service! read more

I took my daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday. I bought her the pricier option for started earrings and a lot of other things that added up to a lot. I ended up spending over $100 for my first time visit. two weeks later one of the earrings came out in the shower. I saved the earring and took her back to Claire's. The lady that pierced her ears was there. She was "dry" in her response and kept asking me the same question which tells me she wasn't really listening. I explained to her what had happened and asked if she could re-pierce her one ear. She was very rude and dismissive while the other lady looked at me as if I was a nuisance. She ended up telling me that I would have to buy another set of earrings. I finally just walked out extremely angry at the way I was treated and that she refused to clean the earring and simply re- insert it. it would have taken less than 5 minutes. They were rude and snide. I will never step foot in there again. I do not recommend this place for anyone. customer service doesn't exist. truly awful experience. read more
