I picked up some steamed crabs yesterday and they were delicious!! Nice, heavy meaty crabs that they season to perfection!! I will be returning all summer to get my crab fix. Ordered two dozen X-Large crabs and a pound of steamed spice shrimp to go. XL crabs were $65 a dozen which is $20 less than I could get them for a month ago. These were the biggest, meatiest crabs I have ever had and the shrimp were steamed to perfection. I called in my order that morning and it was ready when I walked in the door at the designated time. This past weekend I had to have alaskan crab legs! I frequently order chinese food next door to CK's so I decided to pick up a bundle of crab legs. It is family owned and operated and they were attentive and ready to take my order and show me the size of the crab legs. They steamed and seasoned them for me and I was out the door in 10 min. I went home and the smell was delicious! The crabs were well steamed and seasoned, very good! A little melted butter with garlic salt and old bay and I was set! I think the legs were 8.00-9.00 a lbs so yeah they are not cheap BUT call the store to get exact price. They are not a resturant, they have fried seafood dinners but I urge you to call ahead if you want to pick up food during your lunch hour. Summary: Some of the best crabs I have ever tasted until further notice. Disclaimer: A friend of mine ordered a dozen jumbo crabs for take out so I am only reviewing the quality of the food. Consider the scenario: the sky pouring rain and scattering thunderstorms, the sidewalks are flooded and a trip to the park with close friends is canceled. My friends and I decided to order the crabs and eat them over at my house instead. As a Marylander I ate many crabs from various places around the state. I don't know if I lucked out. I don't know the restaurant was being nice. All I know is that the jumbo crabs were some of the best I have ever tasted. There was no special ingredient or unique flavoring that was added; just the right amount of Old Bay seasoning on the crab. The moment I opened and ate the crabmeat, I forgotten all about the butter, and I am glad I've forgotten because the butter would only trivialize the already savory flavor of the meat. The crabs were the highlight of that day and they made the rest of the day very enjoyable for me and my friends. I've only tried CK's crab once. If I go back again I will see if they really do deserve the 5 star rating. read more

Got 2 dozen large male Maryland Blues steamed with old bay, and they were a big hit with both some visitors from out of state and friends from the area who know really good crabs when they pick them. Ck's was easy to find for this first-time customer: it's tucked in a corner of a shopping plaza at the corner of Briggs Chaney and Old Columbia Pike. Price of $35 a dozen (plus tax) was very reasonable. We'll be back the next time we get a hankering for Maryland Blues because we like the comfort and convenience of eating them in our own backyard. It's cheaper that way, too, of course, because you're not paying a premium for beer, wine, and sides. read more

For many many years I frequented another crab spot. Now its a bit too far for last minute cravings for blue crabs so yelp led me to this spot. And its now easily my go to crab shack. To be fair I haven't tried anything other than crabs here. But the crabs are delicious. Most recently I got a couple dozen from them and brought it home to my family who was in town for vaca. Invited a few friends to join us and when I say the table was QUIET while eating. That's the sign that the crabs were DELICIOUS. They're friendly. I definitely recommend calling early if you need to pick up a large order because they sell out fast. The prices are on par with other crab spots in the area. I appreciate that when I say 'no seasoning' they do exactly that. Old Bay is great.... in moderation. Have never understood bathing crabs in clumps of it. They always put it on the side for me. Crabs were steamed perfectly with old bay and tons of salt and delicious, surprising from a bare bones storefront run by a nice Chinese lady and man.
