And the crust was top-notch! After tax and tip, our bill was about $40. Well, it certainly didn't live up to the hype. The appetizer of Irish Nachos was good (best thing all evening, I'd say). They were loaded with all the toppings & goodies. Burger was a fair size, but certainly overcooked & dry, even with my topping. Got the JALAPENO POPPER - Jalapenos, cream cheese, cheddar & bacon bits. Still dry. Onion rings good, not great, but good. No one in our party thought their burgers were excellent. Oh well. Service was ok. Had to keep getting up for silverware as none was brought or on the tables. Had to get up & steal an ashtray from another table. Server was half friendly and ok. Considering the place was deserted on a Wednesday night, one would think the service could be better and the food would have been perfect, since they didn't have any other orders to take care of. Overall, I'm not in a hurry to get back, but I won't go out of my way to avoid it if someone else suggests it. read more

The best thing about CJ's is the location right there by Club Fever and the other places I hang out in South Bend. I don't go there for the food or even for the beer, which is OK, but not really that extensive a selection. I do enjoy hangin' there with my friends though, when the crowds or the noise at Club Fever get to be too much. I feel right at home there. You will too. read more

So damned overcooked it was like trying to eat a charcoal bricket. Mine also came with Au Jue sauce but it was also terrible. Watered down with absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Same with my Coke. Very lite amount of syrup mainly the water that's it's mixed with. I tried to complain but my complaints were falling on deaf ears. So we paid our bill and got the hell out of there NEVER to return.

Because of the poor service, I left no tip and wrote "0.00" on the receipt. The waitress had also taken my credit card to the back to process the payment instead of running it where I could see it. Later, I realized my credit card was missing. I immediately called the restaurant and was told it wasn't there. I locked the card, and the following day multiple attempted charges were made on it. While I can't say for certain what happened, the timing was extremely concerning and left me with serious doubts about how my card was handled. I rarely leave negative reviews, but between the poor service, long waits, lack of attention, and what happened with my credit card afterward, I cannot recommend this restaurant or it's choice of Friday night live entertainment.

The beer wasn't very cold and was served in a plastic cup that said "Bud Light". The servers and service weren't bad. I don't think I'd go back.
