I come to Columbus all the time for work, but had never heard of this place. Found it on yelp, while looking for something different from our normal places. Glad we found it, because no one was disappointed. If you've never been here, don't be a noob like me and go sit down. Pick up a menu and go order at the bar like all the normal people that have been here before. If you can't decide what to get, I have a pretty good suggestion: Garlic knots are awesome. You should get those for a starter. The marinara is a tad runny for my liking, but don't let that dissuade you. I'd eat them with no sauce. After you get a taste of some of those delicious garlic knots, go ahead and put some wings in your belly next. The order you should do that in by deliciousness (that I have tried) is: Hot Honey BBQ, Hot, Jamaican Jerk. The wings all have a nice crisp, which I Iike. The Honey BBQ and Hot I thought had exceptionally good flavors. Jamaican Jerk was decent, but not my favorite ever. Then for pizza, I just got everyonr a large Rock and Roll pizza to share. I already forgot all what was on it, but everyone else on here recommended it, now I will do the same. Just look at the menu, make sure the ingredients on it will not kill you, then order it. Large is16"/ or about 12 fairly large slices. Our first visit here was successful. It will definitely be added into the Columbus rotation. read more

I've been ordering from CJ's for years. Ordered a large Meatza pizza and I must say, it was a huge disappointment. The quality of pizza has certainly gone downhill since Chuck died. There was hardly any meat on it at all, mostly just cheese with a few pieces of sausage sprinkled on it. Last time I'll order from these guys. read more

Great place to go if you want overpriced food and they are constantly out of multiple menu items at a time. Service is fine though they were quite kind but I don't need great service if you are out of food to serve. Booths are wood and uncomfortable but the chairs at least have some cushioning. Cleaner than some restaurants I've seen but the floors looked pretty rough. Pizza is ok but nothing special. Took forever to get the pizza. Crust was flavorless although it was supposed to be garlic butter flavored. read more

Since I have been in Columbus, I have tried ,The Lost Pizza Place , Domino's and Pizza Hut. My dad suggested CJ's . Wow what a mistake ! ! ! ! ! ! Now everyone's taste of Pizza is their own, and their opinion. In my case , since this was my very 1st time trying this place and most likely my last , the Pizza was lack luster.. I have had better Pizza from Race Trac gas station and basically if I had to compare this Pizza to any other place , it would equal to 7-11 Pizza. The wings were plain no taste at all just so so , had have better at Buffalo Wild Wings and Pizza Hut. The two containers of sauce ( blue cheese & mild Buffalo sauce ) came in 1/2 inch little tubs LOL, why are you ration it. Now, let me give you the 411 on my Pizza , the crust was cardboard tasting, just poor quality. A gain why are you rationing the pepperoni on my pepperoni and sausage pizza , were you guys running out of pepperoni or something ? Now again people may like this place, I am only commenting on my personal experience with your pizza joint. I should have went to Domino's and gotten a large 2 large topping pizza for $7.99. Excellent food and service. The people are top notch. If you like spicy, I would highly recommend the Dragon pizza. My wife really likes the Chicken Florentine with added feta. Either way, you cannot go wrong. It is so easy to go to a local business that you love and not take the time to review. It is easy. Get your food and just go. This does not help the new people who have not discovered the business yet. CJ's is a locally owned business that has provided excellent pizzas to the Columbus area for years. Came to Columbus for work and was craving some Italian and this was about the only Italian place around the area I could find open. It was wonderful! This place looks great but really leaves a lot to be desired. The staff were very friendly. We ordered boneless chicken wings for the appetizer and they were phenomenal. We ordered a calzone and a pizza for our meal. The food LOOKED amazing. We can't decide if it was the tomato sauce with way too much oregano or the flavorless cheese tainting everything. This is the second time I have ordered wings from y'all and they are just awful. The first time was mild and the little sauce that there was it was pretty much just oil. I then ordered garlic Parmesan the second time and there was literally no sauce just a few pieces of garlic. How do you call those wings?! I am so thankful that this small southern town has a great pizza shop. Our favorite thing on the menu is the calzone, but everything we have had is very good. The service is great and the restaurant gets pleasantly busy some nights. There is a short bar, which is perfect if you have to wait on your order. I highly recommend CJ's! read more

Looked like it might be a nice little dive pizza place. Got the 10 inch pizza with sausage. Barely cooked, doughy and not crisp, no taste...quite possibly one of the worst attempts at pizza that I have ever had. A frozen pizza cooked in a toaster oven would be better. The hostess was nice and the two guys who were cooking the pizza obviously had never had a good pie, as this was 3 bites and throw away. No place in this town has the best pizza. It's not CJ's, it's not Lost Pizza Co., not anyone. It's not a tie, nobody wins. That being said, I want to paint this review favorably for CJ's. They seem to be more authentic than their rivals Lost Pizza, which I consider to be cut from the same cloth. What I do like is their menu. It offers that great blend of "pizza place" and "sports bar". Pizza and wings are a harmony that only work when both pieces taste good. It's easy to neglect one while focusing on the other. I think CJ's strength comes from their charm and simplicity. The menu doesn't strive to do too much, and offers well-known foods without off-putting variation. I'm a fan of their "pick two" lunch option for this reason, it's simple and easy to choose from. Their staff is nice, their building is clean enough, and the price is reasonable. Having just experienced lunch I must revise my review and reduce the number of stars awarded. Of corse, if you LIKE cold leftover pizza for breakfast you are going to love CJ's lunch buffet. That's what it amounts to. 5-6 pizza options plus cinnamon-sugar topped pizza and cheese bread, all are curled, dry, hard unappetizing and disappointing. Pasta is cold, marinara sauce isn't much warmer. All this for $9.25 plus drink. And the lighting is "off" as in off. Making the place look closed and dingy. I'll still say this is a great place for dinner, but I'll take a pass on future lunches. read more

If you want Pizza worth your money, then this is the place for it. The pizza here is fantastic along with everything else about it. My friends and I decided to stop in for a bite and we received quire a bite indeed. We had the Garlic Knots it was delicious. But the Pizza was amazing. It was a favorite the moment we bit into it. Surprising very good. I wasn't expecting much but as pleasantly surprised. The garlic knots are amazing! I had the spaghetti which was very flavorful and hot. My husband had a 10 inch meat lovers and said it was really good. They where packed out for lunch but still great service. We will be back. read more

I used to love this place but it has taken a real nose dive over the last couple of years. The staff is constantly changing and so is the food. I hardly even recognize the menu items when they come out to the table now. They seem to have made some financial cut backs that have also resulted in cutting back on flavor and quality of food. The atmosphere is now more like a teen party with staff shouting, giggling and gossiping throughout your entire meal which leads to delayed and subpar service. It's very disappointing to see such a great restaurant fall so short of the expectations they once set for themselves. Sadly, I don't expect them to survive much longer. read more

C.J.'s has good qualityfood and a wide menu. If you go you must get their garlic knots! cheap and tasty, I promise they don't disappoint. I can eat a whole basket by myself before my meal comes. This is the only place that serve a Greek salad around here. Their pastas are tasty and their signature pizzas are a must try. While some might think its a bit pricey for pizza, I think you pay for what you get. The only pizza place in town that isn't a chain does come with a cost but if you are military they do offer a discount. Totally worth a try. read more
